Trust in God in all Times

Play Episode Listen Later Aug 23, 2026 29:19

This short twelve verse Psalm speaks eternal truths to each believer. God wants each believer to trust only in him, stated four different times in this short Psalm. King David was a great king, not because of his strength, but because of the strength God gave to him. Regardless of the enemies David faced, he always trusted in God and God always delivered him. David's strength, and our strength, comes from God, not from ourselves. May we all learn tis invaluable lesson: God is much greater than any of us, and it is excellent for each of us to trust God instead of ourselves. If we want final, conclusive victory, this victory will be because God, in his eternal power, has given victory to us.

Kevin and Bill discuss the political ingredients that produce war – and the similarities between today and the periods leading up to WW1 and WW2. They talk about how both power and popularity are shifting from the West to the East, with China in ascendance…and the narrow window of opportunity in the next 25 years that makes more war likely because of the impending "birth-dirth."

13.2 Wars and Famine Are NOT Signs of the End: What Jesus Really Said – Mark 13

Play Episode Listen Later Aug 17, 2026 50:38

Did you know there are 19 commands in Jesus' teaching about the end times in the Olivet Discourse in Mark 13? Are you keeping them? The disciples asked Jesus for signs of the end of the age. Jesus responded by giving some non-signs—events that false teachers will tell you are signs, but are not. The first thing Jesus did when they asked for signs and times was to look them in the eye and say, "Watch out that no one deceives you." This message will help you keep from being deceived by popular but misguided claims about the signs of the end, and it may revolutionize your way of reading the Olivet Discourse. In this expository study of Mark 13:5-6, we examine the structure and purpose of the Olivet Discourse. My sermons are the fruit of nearly 30 years of pastoral ministry, biblical counseling, formal seminary training, and a lifelong passion for God's Word. Since childhood, I've been drawn to the beauty and power of expository preaching—opening Scripture verse by verse and applying it to real life. After graduating from Moody Bible Institute, I spent the next 27 years serving as a youth pastor, senior pastor, church planter, and host of the Food For Your Soul radio broadcast. Along the way, I also earned a Master of Sacred Literature and a Doctor of Religious Studies. For more content from D. Richard Ferguson, visit TreasuringGod.com. I cannot emphasize enough - Believers have an eternal home with Jesus, and unbelievers have an eternal home without Jesus.

In 2 Corinthians 5:9-21, Paul shows that those who are in Christ are new creatures, called to live for the One who died and rose again for them. Ronnie Burge explains that salvation is entirely by grace through faith, yet the changed Christian life requires diligence: cleansing away worldly filthiness, renewing the mind through God's word, and refusing spiritual stagnation. Drawing from his own testimony of deliverance, he urges believers to stay close to the word and let others see that Jesus Christ has made them different.

Theological Discourse on AI Faith Debate: Sunday, August 16th, 2026 (08/23/26 on 930 WFMD in Frederick, Maryland) "Artificial Intelligence" has real consequences; should Christians build it, boycott it, or redeem it? A.I. is no longer a science fiction premise; it's sadly writing sermons, answering theological questions, and shaping the worldview of millions. In light of these realities, is the church largely having the wrong conversations about it? Some Christians marvel at the possibilities, while others sound an apocalyptic alarm. The Faith Debate now helps ask and answer the question that matters most: What is our responsibility before God in this moment? This episode is part one of a five-part conversation (piggybacking on a two-part AI discussion from earlier in the year). To hear the five parts in uninterrupted fashion, go to the Christian Podcast Community and find the Theology Throwdown show dated April 11th, 2026. The Unstoppable God

Play Episode Listen Later Aug 15, 2026 16:11

The sermon explores the absolute sovereignty of God through the biblical account of King Nebuchadnezzar's humbling and restoration in Daniel chapter 4. By contrasting human pride with divine authority, the preacher illustrates that God is both unstoppable and unquestionable, governing all creation with perfect wisdom. The narrative demonstrates that true reason and peace are found only when individuals acknowledge God's ultimate control over their lives. Emphasizing the certainty of judgment and the availability of grace, the message calls listeners to cease questioning God's ways and instead trust in Christ for salvation. Ultimately, the text urges believers to rest in the comfort of God's unchangeable nature and His promise to receive all who come to Him.

The Restrainer Removed

Play Episode Listen Later Aug 15, 2026 14:30

The sermon explains that the Holy Spirit's restraining influence will cease at the rapture of the Church, allowing the rise of the Antichrist. It argues that the Spirit remains omnipresent to save souls during the Tribulation, citing the conversion of millions after the Church is gone. The speaker identifies the Antichrist as emerging from a revived ten-nation European confederacy, fulfilling prophecies in Daniel and Revelation. Historical attempts to unite Europe are presented as precursors to this final political entity. The message urges listeners to recognize these signs as evidence that Christ's return is imminent.

Proof of the Resurrection

Play Episode Listen Later Aug 9, 2026 29:45

The Bible records many times that two or three witnesses must agree on a certain point before it is said to be true. Some of these are: Deuteronomy 17:6, 19;15, Matthew 18:16, 18:19-20, II Corinthians 13:1 and I Timothy 5;19. The Bible gives three undeniable proofs of the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. 1. The enemies of God. 2. The creation of God. 3. The people of God. 1. The enemies of God include Pilate, Matthew 27:65, Luke 23:4, Matthew 27:23-24. Pilate's wife: Matthew 27;19. Perhaps the most telling is when the soldiers witness the resurrection but were given much money and told to spread it around that the disciples stole the body. 2. The creation of God also testified silently, in Matthew 28:2, by a great earthquake and an angel from God sitting on the stone, which was moved from the burial opening. Matthew 27:45 declares there was darkness over the land from 12:00 noon to 3:00 PM. Matthew 27:51 states the veil of the temple was divided from the top to the bottom. Psalms 19:3-4 tells us that the even though creation cannot speak, their witness goes out all over this world. 3. The witness of the people of God. Matthew 27:52-53 speaks of physically dead individuals raising from the dead and going into the city and appeared to many. Matthew 28:9-10 records that Jesus told women to tell his disciples of a future meeting in Galilee. Matthew 16:9 tells of the first person who saw him, Mary Magadelene. Luke 24:13-35 speaks of two disciples on the road to Emmaus. God has given many witnesses of his resurrection, more than we can mention. God wants you to know his resurrection is real.
