It was just over two weeks ago when Robbie Keane, we mean Luke Aylings late winner at Molineux, sent the Leeds fans into pandemonium and left us all wanting more. Despite the clocks shedding an hour off the time, it still seemed like an age before Leeds were back at it with a home fixture against Southampton on Saturday 2nd. It's going to be a bit of a different pod as we all know, Saturday's defeat to Spurs was Marcelo Bielsa's last game in charge of the club after nearly 4 years in charge.  A tough one for many of us fans to take, ultimately the Argentine master paid the price for a few heavy losses and the seeming lack of confidence the players were carrying. Whether or not it was the right decision or not, I think most fans agree that we wish he could have had a better send off, so our aim is to try to reflect on the positivity his reign has brought back to the club, as well as share some of our favourite memories of Marcelo.As always we would love your support and feedback. After a winter hiatus, due to too many injuries and goal conceded, the team at Right in the Gary Kellys are back with our first Leeds United podcast episode of 2022.  In this jam-packed episode, the team focus their discussions on the January Transfer window, including our thoughts on if Leeds should, or need, to strengthen in this notoriously difficult window. Another game and another point on the board for Leeds United after a 1-1 draw with Leicester. When Michail Antonio's 90th minute went in it was a hammer blow for Marcelo Bielsa's side. It was the morning after the night before, we woke up with a spring in our steps after 1997 days, Leeds United have finally won a game of football in London. It’s been a long time coming, after ten memorable years covering the ongoing fortunes of Leeds United on and off the pitch. One man we have been chasing for a sit-down interview is the fans favourite and former captain of the club, Jonny Howson. Now 32 years old, Jonny Howson is an experienced campaigner. Having racked up over 500 club appearances since his breakthrough at Leeds United way back in 2006. We cover it all, from breaking through the academy, captaincy, the highs, unwanted lows and eventual departure, Howson was a fan living the dream. From a play-off brace at Brunton Park to toppling Fergie’s all-conquering Manchester United side, Howson was at the heart of everything good around the club from 2006 to 2011. Leeds United are not dull to watch, are they? In fact, it seems to be becoming a bit of a lottery pick in guessing our score lines, and on Sunday it was Arsenal who got the winning numbers, claiming a 4-2 win at the Emirates. As always, plenty of talking points arose from the game; goalkeeping errors, penalties and players “out of position” so much so a few people on social media had questioned whether Bielsa had tinkered with his team slightly too much? It was the morning after the night before and we couldn’t face revisiting the result so we took a few hours off, and began writing this podcast intro again in the afternoon. As you can imagine it didn’t make a difference. So we decided to fire up the microphones and record the post-mortem of the 6-2 defeat to our bitter rivals Manchester United yesterday. The international break is over and it’s time to get back to Premier League action again for Leeds United. My god, this two-week break has dragged after two back to back 4-1 defeats. Leeds and Arsenal played out a 0-0 draw, but it wasn’t your typical so-called bore draw. This game had it all with endless chances for Bielsa’s side and a red card for Arsenal’s Pepe stoked a debate. This made our podcast prep a bit more upbeat and we went into the recording studio with a spring in our step as it looks like Leeds’ have found their mojo again. Everyone loves a grudge match and that is what Aston Villa vs Leeds United seems to have become since the two sides played out that 1-1 draw at Elland Road a couple of seasons back.Much to Gabby Agbonlahor’s disgust, Marcelo Bielsa sent Dean Smith back to coaching school, masterminding the Whites to a brilliant 3-0 victory at Villa Park. Right, finally we’ve managed to catch our breath after a pulsating season opener at Anfield on Saturday. Normally, opening games of the Premier League season are tense at the best. Somebody didn’t send that message to Leeds as they ripped the rule book up and took the game to current World and English champions, Liverpool. The performance was outstanding but the history books will show a 4-3 win for The Reds. We couldn’t wait to fire up the microphones, clear the throats, and press that record button to discuss the many talking points of Saturday’s game.
