(Farewell Ozzy!) = https://youtu.be/qDGi6c6_9Us “Back to the Beginning was a concert by the English rock band Black Sabbath, with a number of supporting artists. It took place on 5 July 2025 at Villa Park in Aston, Birmingham, England, very near where the band was formed in 1968. The event concluded with the final live performances of both the band and lead singer Ozzy Osbourne; it also marked the first time since 2005 that the original line-up of the band (Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward) had performed together live. Osbourne, no longer able to walk due to advanced Parkinson's disease, sang while seated on a throne. The widely-lauded concert was streamed worldwide via pay per view with a broadcast delay. It featured an all-star lineup of supporting acts, including two supergroups of musicians serving as the house band. Proceeds from the event totalled £140 million, and will be donated to charity.” (Wiki) Hosted by: Luke = https://bsky.app/profile/rockednet.bsky.socialAlex = https://bsky.app/profile/voiceofalex.bsky.socialRowan = https://bsky.app/profile/rowbuck01.bsky.social

In the last episode, I was talking about our involvement with Christians, in other countries. In Thomas' letter he mentioned that an outreach, was being planned in the UK, for June 1984. The occasion, was a Billy Graham Crusade in Birmingham, where our church friends lived. Thomas would have loved to go, but he had his regular freelance job, that he had to keep up with. He worked for Nikon cameras doing translation work. We also had our vacation time set aside, because my parents were coming in August. But six people from our church and five people from Italy were going. A team of eight, from a ministry called Forward Edge in the States, were also coming over to help the Northfield church. They were hiring a double decker bus, to drive the teams to the meetings at Villa Park, the largest football stadium in Birmingham. According to their newsletter everyone gathered in the mornings for prayer and worship, and then divided up in teams.

It was an all-round run of discouraging results for Fulham this weekend as the race for a Conference League continues to rage on. Fulham lost 1-0 to an impressive Aston Villa side away at Villa Park which possibly was always a result to be expected but all the same, disappointing. George is joined by Ben Jarman, host of the Fulhamerica podcast, and Joe Gunning, making his Fulhamish debut. In part one, they look at Silva's changes to the starting XI against Villa, consider the substitutions and descent to ten men, and reflect on a run of poor performances from Fulham. In part two, they answer some of your listener questions. Do Fulham need another year to grow before they are ready for Europe? Should Adama be starting rather than coming on as a sub? Jimbo welcomes Daniel Storey, Adrian Clarke and Tim Spiers into the pod after another pivotal Premier League weekend. Leicester are officially relegated after defeat at home to leaders Liverpool. What awaits the Foxes in the Championship? And does Trent Alexander-Arnold's celebration mean he's staying or going? It was nearly another nightmare result for Enzo Maresca but Chelsea fought back at Fulham to secure a huge win in the hunt for Champions League football. Liam Twomey has more from Craven Cottage. Aston Villa produced maybe their most impressive performance of the season as they took apart red-hot Newcastle at Villa Park. We ask where next for Kevin De Bruyne? And where next for Bryan Mbeumo? Few could have imagined that, after a slow start to the UEFA Champions League campaign, Paris Saint-Germain would be one of the four remaining teams left in the tournament. Perhaps even more unbelievable is that Kylian Mbappé's Real Madrid is not one of those teams. On this episode of PSG Talking, I'm joined by Ethan from the PSG Fan Club Boise and Marc Damon to discuss the second leg against Aston Villa, look ahead to the tie against Arsenal, and react to Real Madrid's elimination from the Champions League.Up first, it's the match at Villa Park, which saw PSG take a 2-0 lead to push the aggregate score to 5-1. Villa was able to pull one back before halftime, but a 5-2 lead with 45 minutes felt insurmountable, and PSG supporters were feeling positive. Then the second half started, and two quick goals from the hosts pulled them within one goal in the aggregate score. PSG was able to stop the flow of goals and would go on to lose the match 3-2, but advance on aggregate 5-4. We discuss the main storylines from the match, including Bradley Barcola starting in place of Désiré Doué, Ousmane Dembélé not wanting the Man of the Match award, and Gianluigi Donnarumma's incredible performance late in the match when PSG needed him most.Next, we talk about the matchup against Arsenal, which is a rematch from the league phase when PSG lost 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium. We discuss the unique challenges Arsenal presents for PSG and whether Luis Enrique can figure out a way to beat Mikel Arteta's Gunners.Of course, Arsenal reached the semi-final because of their dominating performance over Real Madrid. We talk about what the defeat does for Mbappé's legacy and whether Real Madrid will have to make major changes this summer. As always, thank you for listening. Mark Critchley joins us to talk about a ridiculous night at Old Trafford that saw Ruben Amorim's side score two goals in injury time of extra time, to beat Lyon 5-4 on the night and 7-6 on aggregate. We hear from Jay Harris who was in Frankfurt where a Dominic Solanke penalty saw Spurs win 1-0, so Ange Postecoglou isn't going anywhere quite yet. The Athletic's Newcastle writer Chris Waugh and Aston Villa writer Jacob Tanswell are with us to preview their respective side's clash at Villa Park on Saturday evening, in what could be a pivotal game in the race for Champions League football. While both sides suffered second-leg defeats, it was PSG and Barcelona that progressed to the Champions League semifinals. Musa and Ryan begin at Villa Park, where Aston Villa beat PSG 3-2 on the night (02:33) and very nearly sent the game into extra time. Barcelona also had a scare at the Westfalenstadion (25:49), where they lost to Borussia Dortmund—thanks to a Serhou Guirassy hat trick—but ultimately did enough to push through, leaving Barça to face a clash with either Bayern or Inter. The quarter-finals of the Champions League second legs did not disappoint with drama, tension and a load of goals at Villa Park. Unai Emery's side scored more on the night, but the dream is over as PSG had done enough to go through to the semi-finals with a 5-4 win on aggregate. Kelly Cates is joined by former Villa players Dion Dublin and Stephen Warnock – who both praised the performance of Marcus Rashford and were equally baffled by the fact he was subbed off. Correspondent John Murray and Statman Dave join the pod and look at what's next for the club.A very happy Julien Laurens comes on to give his expert view on PSG and how they came very close to being knocked out of the competition. The pod heads to Spain where Ian Dennis and Matt Upson have been inside the Arsenal camp ahead of their game against Real Madrid – Mikel Arteta and Jude Bellingham both make cameo appearances on this episode too.And Jules gives his predictions on how Kylian Mbappe will fare against Arsenal on Wednesday night. Timecodes: 01:00 – Aston Villa analysis. 14:12 – PSG section 26:26 - Arsenal preview. 28:29 - Mikel Arteta interview 32:40 – Jude Bellingham interview. 35:20 – Real Madrid and Mbappe section. Thursday 17th April EUROPA LEAGUE: Manchester United v Lyon – KO 2000 on 5 live.
Musa and Ryan begin with a quick Premier League round-up (02:51), which saw Fulham inflict only the second league defeat of the season for Liverpool. Villa and Forest also served up a cracker at Villa Park, and it was goals and red cards at Selhurst Park. Plus, Southampton were relegated. They then turn their attention to the Manchester derby, which wasn't a classic, and a catalyst to talk about Manchester United, Ruben Amorim, and the club's future (08:04). Finally, there's a quick look around La Liga, where Valencia won at the Bernabéu for the first time in 17 years (29:38), plus the Bundesliga and Serie A.
