Hij vertelt ons over zijn keuze voor de NCAA, zijn leven in Amerika en zijn toekomstplannen.Daarna gaan Maarten en Matthijs in op het afgelopen speelweekend in de BNXT League. Maarten was bij het feest in Aalst, dat won van Spirou in de Belgian Young Bloods Match. Matthijs was - per ongeluk - bij Kortrijk tegen Leiden, waar de Nederlandse kampioen struikelde over het team met de meeste personele wisselingen. De andere wedstrijd worden kort besproken - op basis van box score. Ook behandelen we de percentages in de Home Grown Usage, en bij welke teams de U23-spelers de meeste minuten maakten.Enjoy!

In der neuesten Episode von „Flutlicht & Flipcharts“ beleuchten wir den besonderen Werdegang von Mathias Schiele. Seit Juli 2024 ist er bei Borussia Dortmund und arbeitet sowohl mit den Talenten in der U17, U19 und U23, als auch mit Profis aus der Lizenzmannschaft. Mathias‘ Lebensgeschichte ist alles andere als gewöhnlich und geht weit über seine heutige Tätigkeit auf den Trainingsplätzen hinaus: Als noch aktiver Spieler wird bei ihm mit 19 Jahren ein Hirntumor diagnostiziert. Nach einem schwierigen Genesungsprozess ändern sich sowohl seine Perspektive auf sich selbst als auch einige der eigenen kognitiven Fähigkeiten. Dieser Weg hat ihn letztlich über viele Stationen – unter anderem Philadelphia, Augsburg und Stuttgart – zum BVB geführt, wo er heute innovatives, individuelles Fußballtraining unter Berücksichtigung von Wahrnehmung, Kognition und Motorik konzipiert und umsetzt. Die eigenen Erfahrungen und neugewonnenen Perspektiven nutzt Mathias im beruflichen Alltag als eine seiner großen Stärken: Bedingungsloser und maximaler Einsatz, persönliche und charakterliche Weiterentwicklung sowie das Gefühl für den eigenen Körper – all diese und noch viele Aspekte mehr stehen täglich im Mittelpunkt seiner intensiven Arbeit mit schwarzgelben Fußballern.

In 2025, Christopher Blevins won 9 UCI World Cup races and was the first American Male to earn the UCI Men's World Cup Overall Championship in 34 years. He raced for Team USA at the 2020 (held in 2021) and 2024 Olympic Games and won the inaugural UCI Short Track MTB World Championship in 2021. Before any of those accomplishments, in the summer of 2021, Blevins was an early guest on this podcast. Cam Jones has had a pretty memorable 2025 season, rocketing from Grand Prix wild card to winner of Unbound. And yet, that dramatic turn of events pales in comparison to his 2022 season. For his final year as a U23, Cam planned to race every World Cup in the hope that it might secure him a team for the start of his Elite career. After a promising start to the season, things went downhill fast.
