In 2013, our host was attacked, strangled and sitting with her late grandfather in heaven before she woke up again. After she months spent dealing with the brain injury, brain therapy, depression and anxiety, she knew she had to put one foot in front of the other and try to heal. When she did, she started sharing her story and noticed something profound happening when she did so: the person she was talking to always had an incredible story to share in return about how they experienced something difficult and chose to rise above it. She left these interactions feeling so inspired by most humans she met and happy about her second chance at life. Carley wondered if people would want to hear these conversations in the form of a podcast so that even one other person could be reminded of life's shit show and know they're never alone either. She wanted to incorporate her loud, unfiltered, and goofy personality; so this podcast is peppered with laughter, bourbon and PBR with some "feel-good" vibes guaranteed.
