A significant number of people suffer from documented and undocumented mood disorders. There is data to suggest that Creatives are particularly vulnerable to afflictions like anxiety and depression. We all wear social masks. It is not the norm to openly discuss or share struggles involving temperament. There is even more pressure on a Creative who has a professional persona to uphold to smash down any lurking noonday demons. Additionally, in real estate work, we often deal with clients who may express some of these traits. This poses unique challenges. In this episode, I offer practical techniques to help you get out of the reactive mind and into the observing mind so you can function at a higher level and find some space from mental storms. Why is it so hard for a Creative to do something the same way every time?Maybe it's because to innovate and explore is part and parcel of our creative nature. In this solo episode, I discuss my realizations in the area of consistency and how the practice of real estate and even something as relevant as setting up the mic to record this show pushes me to work my "consistency muscle," awkward as it may feel sometimes. I also touch on the "magic" of leaving room for uncertainty, being receptive, and allowing things to come to us in their own time, including real estate deals. He is also an incredible drummer, record producer, and filmmaker. In the 25th episode of 'The Creative Real Estate Agent,' I have a conversation with David Cantero, creator and CEO of Enspired Digital. David has consulted thousands of small business owners on the subject of social media marketing & Facebook advertising. David's particular niche is, in fact, real estate agents! I met David back in 2018 when I was only about a year into my real estate career. He changed the way I looked at what was possible with Facebook and lead gen. David has figured out exactly what most agents are missing in their marketing strategies and how to fix it! We talk about all of this and more in this show. In this video, I talk all about confidence. What is confidence? What's the difference between confidence in ourselves and confidence in things that are seemingly external to us? What role does confidence play in the world of real estate and in our profession as real estate agents? Where does confidence come from? How do we lose confidence? How can we build our confidence back up when we feel it's been depleted? Those of you who miss me interviewing amazing guests, don't despair. They shall return. For now, you get me. In this episode, I talk about the challenges of working in the current real estate market, while trying not to come across as depressing. You're welcome. Welcome to the 19th episode of “The Creative Real Estate Agent!” In this episode, I chat with Meg Nordmann, a super-creative! I'm calling Meg a Super-Creative because she is a woman of many talents including music, art, writing, stay-at-home mothering, and many more. Meg and her husband have achieved their goal of retiring before the age of 40 by relying on the practices of minimalism and frugality, and through the passive income they generate, largely through real estate investments. Meg brought so much to the show and I look forward to having her back again to dig even deeper into the creative side of things!Check out Meg's Website at ➡️: http://megnordmann.com/ to read her blog, learn more about early retirement & minimalist living, or order her book "Have Yourself a Minimalist Christmas."Find All Podcast Episodes Here ➡️: https://bit.ly/theCREASchedule a One on One w/ Me Here ➡️: https://creativerealestateagents.com/Interested in a Career at EXP Realty? In this episode of The Creative Real Estate Agent, I have the pleasure of speaking with Steven Ross, real estate agent and author of the book “Doors Open When You Knock.” Currently based in Colorado, Steven has been in real estate since 2005, building his business around door knocking. Contrary to what you might expect from someone who has knocked over 125,000 doors, Steven describes himself as lazy and anti-social. However, Steven is not afraid to do the “hard stuff,” taking an active, creative role over a reactive one. Don't be fooled, this conversation isn't about door-knocking, per say, but is actually more about being the captain of your real estate ship all while being patient, allowing things to unfold. In this episode, I talk about turning the "so I can" mindset into an "and I can" mindset. Thinking we are doing one thing so we can do another is a trap because these two things become competing motivations. Consistently burying our creativity in the name of a polished real estate persona is asking for trouble. So we need to develop a life that integrates all of us, including our creativity, into what we do as real estate agents. This episode is a jumpstart in ideas you can try right away to integrate your creativity into your business while building a community and connections around you. In this episode of "The Creative Real Estate Agent," I feature Carol Beth Anderson (aka “Beth”). Unlike many of the previous guests who have been realtors or professionals in housing-related fields, Beth is a Realtor-turned-author! Since 2017, Beth has published NINE books (her tenth is coming out soon). Beth and I chat about how she integrated creativity into her career as a real estate professional, as well as what it was like taking the leap into a full-time creative profession. In this episode of "The Creative Real Estate Agent,” I have the honor of speaking with Teza Lord, an artist & author currently based in the St. Augustine, FL area. In this episode of The Creative Real Estate Agent, I have a fun conversation with Sean Forrest, who happens to be my husband and business partner, as well as a highly skilled General Contractor and Realtor. Like me, Sean has a creative background, which is in fact, how we met. However, that is not the topic of this show. In this show we talk about Sean's history of being involved in music and construction, balancing work responsibilities with family + some semblance of creative expression, as well as what is going on with the escalating prices in the world of construction and real estate. Emily is still very much in the real estate world, but more so on the other side of the lens, so to speak! I say this because, alongside her husband, Casey, Emily co-founded and directs HomeFX, an amazing company that specializes in real estate photography! Emily is also a fellow creative! She enjoys playing the flute, singing, and cooking, among other creative hobbies. What do creativity, spirituality and running business have a in common? In this episode, Anastasia goes solo and talks about the "Flow State!" Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi recognized and developed the "flow" concept as it is known in positive psychology. This resulted from years of studying high performing individuals from many different fields as well as his childhood experiences during the struggles of World War II. But what is "flow" and what does it mean for us as creatives and business people? Is being in "flow" true happiness? Does it lead to better outcomes? What happens when we are out of "the flow" for an extended period of time? How can we access "flow state" to perform at the highest level and fulfill our potential? Greg is also co-host of Real Estate Uncensored and has a great deal of experience as a real estate coach. He also happens to be my EXP sponsor! Greg has a background in traditional “boots on the ground” salesmanship involving door knocking, cold calling, scripts & dialogues, on top of which he has heaped a whole lot of modern finesse! Greg and I had a blast of a conversation about being who you are and making real connections with people; what it's like being a part of the thriving, fast-growing community of EXP Realty; and the power of intent & manifestation when it comes to your goals, dreams, & desires.Find All Podcast Episodes Here ➡️: https://bit.ly/theCREASchedule a One on One w/ Me Here ➡️: https://creativerealestateagents.com/Interested in a Career at EXP Realty? This episode of “The Creative Real Estate Agent” features Meredith Masony of "That's Inappropriate." I met Meredith serendipitously through a recent real estate transaction. Meredith is a shining example of a"finding your niche" success story. By sharing her "filter-free" life with the world, that is, what it's really LIKE being a mom, Meredith has attracted a thriving community around her. With nearly 3M followers on Facebook (and many more on a plethora of other platforms), each time Meredith goes live, she has anywhere between 1k-3k+ fans tuning in and hanging on her every word. Can Meredith's story of creating and cultivating a community of moms be transferrable to what we can do in real estate as we cultivate our real estate brand? Absolutely, resoundingly, yes! In the fifth episode of "The Creative Real Estate Agent," I have a great conversation with Alicia Maddox, Realtor working out of Northern Georgia, who is doing inspiring and creative things with her Instagram account, "Happy Hour Home." Alicia brings to her real estate practice a background in finance, sales, & marketing but she says that the majority, if not all the things she is doing with Instagram, are skills she's picked up along the way. This is certainly encouraging to the rest of us, as it suggests that successful social media marketing is more achievable than one might think. Alicia and I also discussed how she converts conversations sparked by social media posts into clients and closings! In the fourth episode of "The Creative Real Estate Agent," I go solo. I give listeners a peek into my background and how creativity is woven into my story. This history includes, but is not limited to the role of creativity, particularly through music, in my life as a teenager, throughout college, my battle with cancer, the meeting of my husband + business partner, and now, in my career in Real Estate. I talk about the challenges and successes I've experienced in applying my creativity to my real estate brand & career. I wrap it up by explaining that "The Creative Real Estate Agent" is both a creative outlet for me and a place for other creatives to connect, be inspired, and tell their stories. On the third episode of “The Creative Real Estate Agent,” I had the opportunity to speak with Matt Johnson, co-host of the popular podcast “Real Estate Uncensored,” as well as author, business owner, & thought leader in the real estate & niche marketing space. Matt is also a lifelong musician who plays multiple instruments, write songs, and even pursued a full time music career for a few years. Matt brought so much value to the show from sharing his story as well as practical advice gleaned from firsthand experience of balancing the creative drive with the daily grind. One of my favorite takeaways from this conversation is that not only can creativity and business co-exist in one's life, but that it is actually imperative to allow space for your creative time in order for you to show up as an integrated self in your professional life.Find All Podcast Episodes Here ➡️: https://bit.ly/theCREASchedule a One on One w/ Me Here ➡️: https://creativerealestateagents.com/Interested in a Career at EXP Realty?
