Kausar got a young start in the entertainment and theater industry and has been keeping busy ever since. She plays series lead in Paul Feig's dramedy, East of La Brea, a show about two Muslim-American twenty somethings navigating their changing LA landscape. Kausar has also worked alongside Taraji P. Phillip Youmans is a 19 year old African-American filmmaker who wrote, shot, directed and edited his first feature-length film, Burning Cane, when he was just 17 years old. Phillip’s movie won the Founders Prize and the prize for best cinematography in a U.S. narrative feature film at the 2019 Tribeca Film Festival. Phillip is the first African-American director to receive the Founders Prize and he’s also the youngest director to have a film accepted to the Tribeca Film Festival.
