It's been a couple years since the last episode of this podcast. The Covid-19 pandemic shut down everything in a haste and the studio where I recorded, Canal Street Radio, was closed for an indefinite amount of time. Thus, the podcast went on hiatus. I decided to bring back the podcast, now that life has opened up post-pandemic. Canal Street Radio re-opened their doors and have graciously allowed me to come back to record this podcast. Stay tuned for new episodes coming soon!

Ahmed El-Shourbagy is an Egyptian-American entrepreneur and business-man living in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In fact, I was with Ahmed when Instagram first came out. I selfishly took the name @Kareem but Ahmed had much grander aspirations when we took the name @DOGSOFINSTAGRAM which now boasts over 4.5 million followers. Being as smart as he is, Ahmed enlisted the help of his genius wife and business partner, Ashley, to grow the account into a social media powerhouse and spin-off an entirely new business called Lucy & Co. which is a direct-to-consumer brand for pet parents. Jaeki Says... Shomi didn’t start his professional career as a filmmaker, but he always had the foresight on what’s to come. Hailing from Virginia Beach and obsessed with hip-hop culture, it was fate he connected with Pharrell’s Star Trak imprint. He utilized his web-savvy early on, building websites and customizing MySpace pages for Star Trak artists. Then, when tasked to capture behind the scenes footage for a Clipse music video shoot with Kanye West, he quickly grasped the importance of video and taught himself editing and production. After several stints with various media companies (Karmaloop, Fader), he’s now an established music video director with his own production house (Illusive Media) working with ASAP Rocky, ASAP Ferg, Jaden Smith, and even world-class names like Will Smith and Mariah Carey.
