Buckle up for a wild ride with Opie and a star-studded lineup including Carl Ruiz, Craig Gass, Waka Flocka, Mark Normand, Artie Lange, Louis CK, and more! This episode of Comedy Quick Hits dives into hilarious rants on Girl Scout cookie-flavored weed, overrated ribs, sushi that's still wiggling, and why Chinese people “don't laugh.” From betting on Duke to teaching the toilet who's boss, no topic is off-limits—whether it's smoothie guilt, Trump as your coworker, or why dinosaurs can F off. Laugh till you cry (no crying in comedy!) with bits on bathroom humor, M&Ms in the bedroom, and Katy Perry blasting into space.
This week on Virgo Season, we kick things off questioning the current state of music, ask why J.Lo keeps trying those high notes, and somehow end up deciding whether $100 from a public toilet is worth the risk. From hilarious “This or That” debates to Joyhdae explaining why she's fully ready to abandon Earth if given the chance, things quickly spiral—but in the best way.We break down Pope Francis' dramatic exit after meeting JD Vance (literally shaking hands and heading to glory), Kendrick Lamar's new Chanel partnership and why it's the perfect level of petty, and wonder if Waka Flocka is trolling the entire internet with his Tyler Perry biopic announcement.Meanwhile, Will Smith is out here trying to reboot his rap career (no thanks), Kevin Gates is giving the worst relationship advice known to man, LeBron James reminds everyone why he's King—and Chinese factories are reminding America that they are world-class at being petty, dragging Trump's new tariffs without breaking a sweat. And yes, we even have a brief existential crisis about immortality and whether you really want to live long enough to see the Earth reboot itself into Mad Max territory.New here? On this week's episode of MARS, Matthew and Rizzle reflect on last week's WIP Meetup, where Bay Backner curated a tour of DCL's Metaverse Fashion Week and mused on potential monetization approaches that may be behind this year's absolutely stacked in-world event calendar (which Bay, Kim, and their entire team are responsible for). We love you and everything you do Bay!From there, the conversation shifts to Rizzle's increasing appreciation for the explosion of mini-apps on Farcaster including a preview of a new app by Matthew & Cameron called Tipnearn.com, a simple app that lets folks tip specific tokenized projects and earn trading fees automagically.Support MARS by minting a free edition of this episode at Pods.Media.Shout-outs & Shots-fired:@baybackner @decentraland @metamask @AnneZanneSilver @matchzimmerman @makeanft @roblox @nifty_island @hyperfy_io @supahmarbler @ashconnell @kompreni @trislit @henrydfrog @warpcast_ @rebaserefi @qrcoindotfun @0FJAKE @dragonateyt @conniedigital @dlrowiam @forceshidden @WakaFlocka @jarule @terrycrews @linkedin @nfcsummit @atbarbaralove @buildtree_io @jasondesimone @johnkarp @JoelKruger @cent @paradoxx_arts @nineoverzero @dragonatesmom

Episode 83 kicks off with some light banter before diving into the recent buzz around Chris Brown — starting with his feature on Leon Thomas' “Mutt” remix, which helped the song shoot up the charts. They discuss the success of Chris Brown's upcoming stadium tour alongside Bryson Tiller and Summer Walker, and get into the online debate comparing Chris Brown's controversies to R. Kelly's — is it really a 1:1 comparison, or are there important differences and nuances? After that heated back-and-forth, the conversation shifts to Stephen A. Smith's recent criticism of LeBron James — what some are calling a full-blown “hate tour” as Stephen A. makes his rounds across various media outlets. The crew breaks down LeBron's response and tries to unpack when and why the tension between LeBron and Stephen A. really started. Sticking with basketball, Trivelle brings a player comparison debate to the table, challenging the group to decide who was better at their peak between two NBA stars. After an unexpected commercial break, Trivelle gets surprised with a gift — new merch from EverythingOShauN's latest clothing line (now available). From there, the crew checks out Miley Cyrus' new musical direction and upcoming album, leading to a conversation about artistry and what ingredients feel like they're missing in today's music-making process. They also touch on online chatter from fans feeling bad for PARTYNEXTDOOR — suggesting he was used to help usher in Drake's new era, especially after being left out of the “Nokia” song and video. The episode wraps with a discussion on Marvin Sapp's “closed door policy” when it comes to collecting offerings in church — and a debate over whether Waka Flocka was right when he said he would save his wife over his child.

Rites of Spring (originally named Rite of Spring) is an annual spring semester music festival held at Rhodes. These days, the events usually happen over two or three days: the first day has games and parties and the second day has the main headlining performer and other opening acts. All kinds of artists have visited our beautiful campus for Rites of Spring, with some key examples being Three Six Mafia, The Black Keys, and Waka Flocka. It all started in the 1970s. Back in the good old days when rotary phones and Third Term were still a thing and when Rhodes was called Southwestern. Music was everywhere with genres like jazz, disco, soul, county and reggae blasting on radios across the country. Lynx to the Past host Kahlila Bandele '27 is joined by Randy Robertson '76 and Neil Mara '77 to record the origin of this beloved campus tradition.
New week, new audio crack. Scoob & Slikk are back with hot takes on the L.A. wild fires, Obama linking up with Trump at president Jimmy Carter's funeral, Rory & Mal firing Julian, and Waka Flocka lying about getting jumped. In music, sounds like Liangelo Ball got a new slap “Tweaker”, Nate Dogg's son drops some new heat “City On Fire Freestyle”, Joey Badass responded to Kendrick Lamar, and then Ray Vaughn responded to Joey Badass, and we can't forget about Drake leaking “Fighting Irish Freestyle”. In sports, Dwight Howard still trying to run a fade with Shaq, Bare Knuckle water fight, plus the NFL playoffs are here. Enjoy !

In the music video for her new single with Manni Dee, Manuka Honey embarks on a money heist, robbing a venue with a comically tiny Louis Vuitton bag. Wearing a barely-there outfit, her cutesy goth girl demeanour and memeworthy one-liners capture many facets of modern-day pop culture. Whether through her music, fashion or astrology practice, the artist, born Marissa Malik, speaks to a large demographic of fans. Her sound is a composite of club genres from across the globe—everything from baile funk to gqom to pop edits. She he describes herself as an "unhinged, hostile girl" and is known for unfettered self-expression. "When you come to my sets, often, my tit will accidentally fall out or I'll step on the decks," she once told RA. Malik brings a sort of sensual chaos to the dance floor. Her DJ sets and productions are rooted in hot and humid rhythms that often distort into acrobatic shapes or blend into one another in a maximalist approach. Last year's Machete / 777 for Club Romantico combined elements of reggaeton with ballroom, while one Boiler Room show last year went from Waka Flocka's "No Hands" to new-school guaracha banger "Calentura Vaginal" (which translates to "vaginal heat"). She's dedicated to supporting the worldwide Latin diaspora through her music, which heavily skews towards regional styles like guaracha and raptor house, as well as with her collective and party SUZIO. Malik's many influences shine on her RA Podcast. Moving from dancehall to Afro house to bassy dembow, the hour-long high-intensity workout captures her core sound palette. It's energetic, steamy and a little disorienting—just how she likes it. @manuka_honey Read more at https://ra.co/podcast/921

This episode encompasses multifaceted discussions. It begins by dissecting societal perceptions of public figures like Lori Harvey, highlighting the judgment they face in relationships. Moving to Teyona Taylor and Iman breakup, it delves into the reasons behind it, perhaps linking to narcissism's impact on relationship dynamics.Financial dynamics' role in power dynamics within relationships is explored, underscoring how money influences these power structures. The conversation then navigates through the challenges posed by changing personalities within relationships, shedding light on the strain it causes.Beyond relationships, this episode spans a gamut of topics, from TI's son King's family altercation to speculations about Waka Flocka's uncle being King's father. This intriguingly veers into discussions on paternity tests, children's preferences between money and parental time, and personal experiences with financial struggles. The dialogue broadens to explore the role of clubs in relationships, the prevalence of STDs among older age groups, and speculations about Diddy's behavior, drawing parallels to historical figures. This leads to questioning Kimora Lee Simmons' involvement and contemplation about the deaths of people associated with Diddy, creating a nuanced perspective on fame and power dynamics within relationships.Support the show

I made a lot of mistakes because I was hard-headed. I couldn't put all of these people behind me on the word of the guy to my right because what if he fucks us all up? I had to go and learn how to set up LLCs, and companies, and bring this back to my family to teach them myself." -Waka Flocka Flame How to Get Involved: This planet is based on an algorithm and with every positive action, there is an adverse reaction.
