Jason Weigandt, Jason Thomas and Steve Matthes have been previewing the Monster Energy Supercross season for a dozen-plus years now, and the show returns for 2025 with Monster Energy, Maxima, Fly Racing and Motosport.com on board. This is the audio version of the five-part video series. This year's arguments include: If Eli Tomac is better now than he was early in 2024 and is that good enough now to challenge and beat Jett Lawrence? Are Chase Sexton's bike issues fixed? Will Jett Lawrence embracing the haters impact his results long term or short term? Is Hunter Lawrence part of the elite group that can win 450SX races on any night? Did we diss out Ken Roczen by leaving him until show 3? Everyone agrees that Cooper Webb will be a contender, now and forever, but there are many, many more arguments to have, now and forever. Enjoy the full kit right here in podcast format. The Racer X Exhaust podcast is presented by Yoshimura and Racer X brand.

Mike Webb tells more behind-the-scenes stories from working with Ryan Dungey and James Stewart with Team Suzuki. Plus, how it all shut down. Mike Webb lived the dream life, moving to the top of the racing food chain, as Suzuki team manager for the off-road squad and then transitioning into the top of the motocross and supercross team. From tons of GNCC championships to working with Ryan Dungey and James Stewart, Mike saw it all. However, it's not always as glorious as it seems, as Mike's time in the supercross paddock came after Roger De Coster and Ian Harrison left for KTM, and Suzuki's support budget was starting to wane. Mike inherited Ryan Dungey and the 450SX and 450MX titles, but Dungey wanted to leave with Roger, immediately. His Suzuki contract forced him to stay. Then Mike and company faced hard luck trying to defend the titles with Dungey, which left a mark. Mike eventually rebuilt with none other than James Stewart. Years later, Suzuki would shut Mike's factory program down, not once, but twice. There are some deep, deep stories from behind the scenes in this interview you won't want to miss. This is part 2 of our two-part podcast with Webb. The Racer X Exhaust podcast is presented by Yoshimura and Racer X Brand.

When Monster Energy Kawasaki announced that Joey Savatgy would take a factory 450 slot for 2019, fans voiced their complaints. This was puzzling, because while Savatgy had come up short of 250 titles in heartbreaking fashion, he was at least a proven race winner. Why did the fans spin so negative? In Part 1 of this interview, Jason Weigandt asks about his rookie 450SX season—which has been good enough to quiet his detractors—but also about Joey's persona and personality. Joey's been through some battles, but he tries to keep his feelings to himself and take the high road, which was fine before the days of social media but leaves people wanting more in an age of transparency. Joey understands that, but he's also staying true to himself. The Racer X Exhaust podcast is presented by Yoshimura.

David Vuillemin captured premier-class supercross race wins while battling some of the best ever—he's one of the few who can claim to have beaten both Jeremy McGrath and Ricky Carmichael for a victory—and these days works with fellow Frenchmen Marvin Musquin and Dylan Ferrandis. His influence was felt on Saturday, when both riders took the 450SX and 250SX victories in Seattle. Vuillemin is one of the most outspoken and unfiltered characters in the sport. In this podcast, recorded during the Seattle post-race press conference, he shares his thoughts on many topics, such as Chad Reed still being the best in the whoops and how starts don't matter as much as people say. DV doesn't focus on the mental game, the hype, or the gossip: he looks at the riding. The riding is what matters. There's some similar no-nonsense work going on in the helmet game these days, as a focus on concussions has led many helmet companies to make huge improvements. Many brands use MIPS to improve the safety of their helmets. What's the science behind it? Company CEO Johan Thiel comes on to discuss. The Racer X Exhaust Podcast is presented by Yoshimura.

We gots Blair and Randy in studio too!!
In 2015, Cole Seely solidified his place among the top 450SX riders, notching his debut premier-class Supercross win as well as numerous podium appearances, finishing third in the final points standings and earning official Rookie of the Year honors. 2018 proved to be a challenge for Seely as he suffered a nearly career-ending crash at the Tampa Supercross, which sidelined him for the remainder of the year. The JGR/Yoshimura Suzuki team announced its official 2019 lineup this week, and with four 250 riders and a 450 lineup of Justin Hill and Chad Reed, the squad looks solid. This off-season was not solid, though, because the team endured many stressful moments after losing its title sponsor, trying to find a new one, dealing with the massive injuries to Weston Peick, and trying to find a spot for Reed on the team. In this podcast, Jason Weigandt explains some of the behind-the-scenes stresses on the team and then talks to Hill, who will make his full-time 450SX debut in 2019. The Racer X Exhaust podcast is presented by Yoshimura.

Honda HRC’s Cole Seely had an off-night in Arizona after an impressive showing at the first Monster Energy Supercross Triple Crown race of the year at Anaheim 2. Cole was forced to miss some of the critical testing and prep time this off-season after having some hardware removed from his finger, but we fully expect him to be battling up front all year. Cole is truly one of the good guys in the sport and we appreciate him always putting up with us and our nonsense. Monster Energy/Knich/Factory Yamaha’s Cooper Webb suffered an injury in December that kept the hopeful 450SX championship contender less than 100% coming into the season. He put in his best ride last week in Glendale and we’ll get his thoughts on the season, doubters and anything else he wants to get off his chest tonight. The 9th Annual Ricky Carmichael Amateur Supercross (RCSX) returns to the Daytona International Speedway for the biggest two-day amateur supercross event in the world in just a few short weeks from now.
