Erin Moser serves as Chief Advancement Officer at Musana Community Development Organization, where her calling grew from a simple act of generosity into a lifelong commitment to dignifying, sustainable impact. After encountering Musana's founder through a local church, Erin and her family began supporting the work quietly. However, it was travelling to Uganda and witnessing firsthand how God was using local leadership, not Western charity, to restore communities that reshaped her understanding of generosity, stewardship, and what lasting faith-driven impact can look like on the ground. Today, Erin helps advance Musana's enterprise-driven model, where schools, hospitals, women's training centers, and businesses work together to address poverty at its roots. Rather than creating dependence, Musana invests in infrastructure that becomes locally owned, locally led, and financially sustainable. Erin shares hard lessons learned along the way, the importance of humility in giving, and why stewardship means deploying resources wisely so communities can flourish long after outside support steps back. Listen to this episode to reconsider how faith, generosity, and wise stewardship can multiply impact through local ownership and trust in God's design. Major Topics Include: Moving from charity to dignifying partnership Local ownership as the path to lasting impact Addressing poverty through job creation Infrastructure over programs for sustainability Humility in learning across cultures Letting communities lead their own solutions Measuring success beyond short-term outcomes QUOTES TO REMEMBER “Orphanages create orphans.” “Generosity should be catalytic. It should restore dignity, not take it away.” “How dignifying is it to a parent to say, you can't provide for your own child, so let someone from the West do it for you?” “We have to stop imposing our Western ideals and learn together with what actually works in their landscape.” “Faithful stewardship isn't about how much we give, but how we intentionally deploy what God has entrusted to us.” “We don't run programs. We build infrastructure.” “Economists say no developing country will ever lift itself out of poverty by charity alone.” “Once we got on the ground, we realized how insignificant we were to the solution.” “They didn't need us as much as we needed them.” “The locals are the heroes of their own story.” “God just kept putting one simple step in front of the other.” “It started with saying yes, and the understanding came later.” “God doesn't call us to preserve our resources. He calls us to put them to work.” LINKS FROM THE SHOW Musana Community Development Organization BIBLE REFERENCES FROM THE SHOW Zechariah 4:10 | Faithful Small Beginnings “For whoever has despised the day of small things shall rejoice, and shall see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel.” Matthew 25:14–30 | Stewardship of Entrusted Resources Matthew 6:1–4 | Heart Posture in Giving Mark 12:41–44 | The Widow's Offering TAKE A STEP DEEPER On the Finish Line podcast, we are all about stories, seeing how God draws us into generosity over a lifetime. In this episode of "The Fear Less Now," hosts Jamie Pastrano and Brittany Moser join me to discuss the launch of Synchrony's innovative AI-powered social support tool, Jesse. Designed specifically for neurodivergent adults, Jesse offers real-time conversation coaching to help reduce social anxiety and foster deeper connections. The conversation will delve into the pressing issue of social isolation and loneliness among autistic individuals and those with other neurodevelopmental differences, particularly in early adulthood when traditional support structures often become less available. Recent research highlights the increasing prevalence of loneliness during this life stage. Jamie and Brittany will explore how Jesse, while not a replacement for therapy, can act as a supportive coach to build foundational skills such as social confidence, resilience, and connection. By strengthening these everyday skills, Jesse can play an important role in fostering well-being and creating the conditions for meaningful, lasting friendships. The discussion will also touch on the potential benefits and limitations of AI in supporting neurodivergent individuals, drawing on insights from various sources. For instance, AI can help with script practice, document drafting, and confidence building in social interactions. However, it's also important to consider the risks of over-reliance on such technology. Tune in to this insightful conversation to learn more about how Jesse and similar tools might be shaping the future of support for neurodivergent adults.

Episode Title: This Shit Works. But Only If You Stop Lying to Yourself I Julie Brown Most Executives don't fail because they lack talent. They fail because they avoid slow, unglamorous behaviors that don't reward the ego immediately but compound relentlessly over time. Julie Brown, author of “This Shit Works” dismantles the biggest lies professionals tell themselves about networking, visibility, and career growth, grounded in the landmark study by Wolff and Moser. This conversation moves beyond advice and into evidence. What you'll hear is not about “putting yourself out there.” It's the how and why networking doesn't just correlate with success. It predicts salary growth over time If you're still buying the dangerous myth that “your work will speak for itself” think again. Internal networking drives more career growth than external visibility. Plus: Why high performers are statistically vulnerable The hidden role of shame and avoidance in stalled careers What laid-off professionals must stop avoiding immediately if they want momentum back Why job security is gone and what act About the Research Referenced The conversation is anchored in a longitudinal study by Hans-Georg Wolff and Klaus Moser, which examined networking behaviors and career success over multiple years. The findings show that networking predicts not just current salary, but future salary growth, especially when relationships are actively maintained over time. 0:00 - It's tough to get into a rhythm right now, since Nuggets players are entering and exiting the lineup left an right. Joker and CB are finally back, but they're still shaking off the rust. Adelman is changing things on the fly and doing the best he can with who he has.14:27 - There's a Double Diparoo tonight, which necessitates a Double Keys-A-Roo! What are the keys to a Nuggets victory over the Knickerbockers, and an Avs victory over the Sharks? After that, Vic is in SF at Media Row and he met our hero. Our idol. Our friend(?) Mel Owens. The Golden Bachelor. Vic asked Mel if Moser would ever have a chance of becoming the Golden Bachelor. And let's just say...Mel is on Moser's "List" now. 31:32 - The NBA All-Star break is (mercifully) about 2 weeks away. What are our biggest concerns with the Nuggets right now?
Jamie Pastrano, Rebecca Matchett and Brittany Moser are the co-founders of Symphony, a platform pairing AI-powered social coaching with intentional interest-based matching, in a safe, simple, and supportive space for the neurodivergent. Jamie, inspired to build the new app by her son's autism, joined with serial entrepreneur Rebecca, COO, with a track record of building successful fashion companies, including alice+olivia and TrioFit, and Brittany Moser, an autism specialist and digital learning expert. The Synchrony app launches this month.
0:00 - Some texters accused us of making excuses for the Avs! We never faily criticize the players or the coaches. We're too soft. Is that the case? Are we not being hard enough on the Avs who are clearly sputtering right now? Or are they elsewhere mentally and in desperate need of the Olympic break?11:15 - Nuggets are in Detriot taking on the Pistons. What are the Keys to a Nugs victory?Which winter sports are we keeping? Which ones are we getting rid of? It's time for our time-honored Olympics tradition where Moser evaluates every sport one at a time. 33:32 - Vic is live at Radio Row for the Super Bowl Media Week, and he ended up sharing a table with some dude from Wichita. Does he have anything good to say? Let's put him on the mic. Why not?
0:00 - Erik Johnson has had ENOUGH of the spray tan accusations! He asked to join our show and put the rumors to bed once and for all. Since we had him on the line anyway, we decided to ask him some actual hockey questions about the Avalanche as well. God forbid we talk sports on this show!14:03 - In last night's Nuggets vs Thunder game, Jaylen Williams wrapped up Jokic, square danced with him, twerked with him, and the refs didn't call a foul. This is Jokic's curse. The Thunder will always push the foul boundaries and get a beneficial whistle, so the Nuggets will have to figure out how to win in spite of it.33:38 - Happy Groundhog Day and Moser's birthday! We're celebrating by taking a show trip to Gobbler's Knob. Wait what?
We're not just a church. We're a Family. Our Vision is clear, simple, and unique. Our vision is Jesus in you. Our vision is for the people of God to have a faith that holds them. The kind of faith that vanquishes doubt, verifies identity, and voraciously contends for inner peace. A faith that removes the past, clarifies the present, and breathes life into the future. Our vision is the Kingdom of God built within the people of this obscure, yet mighty generation. A kingdom so great that its purpose destroys the common lack of self worth. A kingdom that sharpens the eyes, tenses the muscles, and readies itself for the battle against darkness. A Kingdom that brings purpose and healing to those who have failed more than succeeded, who are sinners more than saints, and who have known more pain than pleasure. Our vision is to challenge the weak and unproductive church of our day. To step beyond those who are religiously immature and search out those who for their love for Christ cannot be offended. Our hope is to raise warriors instead of those who think God only exists to keep bad things from happening. To raise those who know that following Christ means suffering loss yet gaining all things. Our vision is clear, simple, and unique…. It is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
On this episode, we zoom out and examine a broader shift underway in the watch industry as major groups begin to prioritize focus over expansion. Using the sale of Baume & Mercier as a starting point, we break down why brand exits and portfolio pruning have returned as strategic tools, and what this move reveals about consolidation, integration costs, and the realities of owning watch brands at scale. We then turn to the other side of the equation, unpacking rumors around Zenith and why selling a deeply integrated brand is far more complicated than headlines suggest. This leads to a wider discussion about how watch groups think about differentiation, redundancy, and long-term brand value when growth slows and pressure increases across the middle of the market. Finally, we shift to Watches & Wonders and what presence and placement at the show now signal. We talk through H. Moser & Cie.'s expanded role, including its move into Montblanc's former booth, and what that says about independence and momentum, alongside Audemars Piguet's positioning at the show and why it matters. Taken together, this episode is about consolidation, visibility, and how the watch industry is quietly reshaping itself in real time. Hosted by Asher Rapkin and Gabe Reilly, co-founders of Collective Horology, Openwork goes inside the watch industry. You can find us online at collectivehorology.com. 0:00 - Jeff Legwold joined us live from the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama. We asked him about the drama with Bill Belichick and the Hall of Fame...if Jeff's even allowed to tell us anything. Also, what does Jeff think about the Sean Payton/Bo Nix Ankle Surgerygate? Can he explain what Joe Lombardi's role was as Broncos OC and why he got fired? 20:33 - It's a double diparoo tonight, which necessitates a Double KEYS-a-roo! How can both the Avs and Nuggets get bounce-back wins tonight? Also, Greg Penner truly understands his role in the Broncos organization. It's not an owner's responsibility to make nitty gritty roster and personnel decisions. If it is, you end up with dumpster fires like the Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Browns. And somehow, Moser ended up pole dancing in his Montreal hotel room, and Vic took a phone call from his Italian aunt on the air.34:50 - MPJ will face the Nuggets in Denver for the first time since joining the Brooklyn Nets. In honor of his return...it's time..to dust off...IN ITS ENTIRETY...the hottest rap song of 2021...Stepback J Kabloom.

0:00 - Could the Broncos take an unconventional approach to fixing the run game? Maybe a method that involves Nelly?18:07 - I think we started talking about Nuggets basketball...then the conversation devolved into a debate about who's taller: Vic or Mose?32:57 - Andy Lindahl didn't appreciate some accusations that Vic made about him and Nate, so he HAD to call the show and respond. He just had to. XXXL couldn't help himself.
Mike Moser, lead pastor at Connection Christian Church, speaks on the importance of fixing your eyes on Jesus in a world full of distractions.
0:00 - Broncos Linebacker Jonathan Cooper said something yesterday that makes us think maybe...just MAYBE...Vance Joseph is staying with the Broncos. Also, Moser is IN OTTAWA at the practice rink WATCHING THE AVALANCHE SKATE, and yet he didn't break any news. We had to get the news from Pierre LeBrun on Twitter.13:22 - Nate & Andy did what they did best: dug up some numbers and analytics to justify Sean Payton going for it on 4th and 1 instead of kicking the FG. That's cool, nerds. Nice numbers. They don't tell the full story, though. Still should've kicked the FG. No numbers will change that.Somehow, it turned into a discussion of pets and when they should be put down. 31:40 - The Buffalo Bills have a new head coach! JK Dobbins raves about the Broncos ownership. How cool is Sam Darnold's comeback story? Let's hit a whole smorgasbord of NFL Tidbits.

0:00 - We've been trying to predict how the Broncos will look on Sunday in the AFC Championship with a backup QB but in reality...we know nothing. This situation is so foreign to us that it's impossible to truly predict how Stiddy will play in the biggest game of his career. But what is our job in radio if not to speculate wildly?16:21 - Moser spent all morning compiling a list of Broncos Musts! These are all the musts for a win on Sunday. 34:00 - Does weather affect QBs? Should we be factoring in Sunday's forecast at all? Let's call someone who's played plenty of QB in frigid conditions: Coach Mike Sanford.
0:00 - Let's preview the AFC Championship with a former NFLer who actually played for the Patriots at one point: Chad Brown.10:41 - The legendary Jim Nantz, who will be calling the AFC Championship game for CBS, joined us today to preview the game. He's called plenty of exciting Broncos games this year, and he's expecting Sunday to be no exception, even without Bo Nix.Also, there are only 2 NFL games this weekend. But that won't stop Moser...from LAYIN IT DOWNNNNNNN.31:39 - The time has finally come. The fellas make their final predictions once and for all for the AFC Championship game. Then it's our favorite part of the week DRUNK TAKES! We take clips from throughout the week, slow em down to half speed and it makes us sound like we're hammered.
0:00 - It's a term we throw around too much, or at least we used to. Last night, it actually happened for real. The Avs got Goalied™14:55 - DMac made an appearance on 98.5 The Sports Hub in Boston yesterday, and his Boston accent crept out. It happens to the best of us when you least expect it.Also, Stiddy finally addressed the media for the first time since being named the starting QB. How's the Mayor of Stiddy City feeling?36:25 - Why not believe in Stiddy? Why not hop on the hype train? WHY NOT? What do you gain by being a Negative Nancy like Moser?
0:00 - Moser has a great story about an angry pig, and we'll get back to it any minute now. Also, Nuggets are in DC tonight to face the Wizards. What are the keys to a Nuggets victory?13:20 - It seems like we aren't taking Drake Maye as a serious threat. Why is that? Should we be worried about him?30:54 - An old friend swung by the studio today, and it turns out things haven't changed a bit.
0:00 - The Broncos do one thing really well. And the Patriots do that thing poorly. It's one angle that could give Denver the edge in the AFC Championship. 11:14 - The dropoff in abilities between Bo Nix and Jarrett Stidham isn't that steep! And that's not an insult to Bo. That's more of a compliment to Stiddy.Friend of the Program Kyle Keefe texted Moser during this segment and made a prediction: the Broncos will win the Super Bowl with Stiddy at QB, then we'll have a full-blown QB controversy between him and Nix all offseason long.31:18 - We're trying to predict Sunday's game as best we can, but in reality, we're in uncharted territory. We've never seen this before. A QB who hasn't attempted a pass in a regular season game in over 2 years is starting in the AFC Championship? Completely and totally unprecedented.
0:00 - Let's preview tomorrow's Broncos vs Bills divisional playoff game with a man who's played in his fair share of NFL playoff games: Chad Brown!14:44 - Brett's nervous about the Broncos game tomorrow. Not because he thinks Denver will lose. But how could you not be?? Nerves are to be expected! And think about how much is at stake for both of these teams! Also, there are only 4 NFL games this weekend...but you better believe Moser...is still...gonna LAY IT DOWN! (and yes, I left in his grunting and breathing for all the podcast sickos who enjoy it)31:23 - It's our favorite part of the week DRUNK TAKES! We take clips from throughout the week, slow em down to half speed and it makes us sound like we're hammered!
0:00 - Brett Kane is fighting the Denver Plauge, so DMac is back in studio to drive the bus.Second night of a back-to-back, no Jokic, no problem. The Nuggets beat Dallas last night in Dallas and they're now #2 in the West. This stretch of non-Jokic games has gone better than any of us could've predicted or imagined, and it's awesome.15:46 - Did Moser actually do some research into Saturday's Broncos game?? Did he look something up and then draw a conclusion based on what he found?? Well butter my butt and call me a biscuit.35:40 - We tweeted something that angered Bills Mafia. They've staged an electronic attack on us that we haven't seen since the Greeks and Panathanaikos fans this summer.

0:00 - NFL Wild Card weekend is (almost) in the books. What are Adam Schefter's takeaways? Will Matt LaFleur have a job in Green Bay next season? Why do Ben Johnson and Matt LaFleur have beef? Was it unprofessional for that Jacksonville reporter to console Liam Coen in the postgame press conference? Let's pick Shefty's brain on all of it.19:19 - Avs are hosting the Leafs tonight at Ball Arena! What are the keys to an Avs victory? Also, can we get Moser to call tonight's game using an Old Timey announcer voice?34:30 - What's your top priority: watching the Broncos playoff game this Saturday?
