Presented by Maxxis and Outhouse Coffee Co. Wow, what a race the 2026 Houston Supercross was! The Triple Crown format always yields some intense racing, but last weekend's race took the cake, with the overall winner in the premier 450 division not being decided until the very end! Of course, we all know that defending Supercross Champion Cooper Webb used consistency to earn his first win of the season, doing so without winning any of the three main events. At the same time, Ken Roczen, Hunter Lawrence, and Eli Tomac each lit the candles. The 250 Western Division, in contrast, was a statement from defending champion Haiden Deegan, who handily won all three main events and notched his third consecutive win. Levi Kitchen and Cameron McAdoo rounded out the podium. We cover all of this, and more, on this week's show!

Bobby shares his story from his younger years to where the team is today, opens up about how gambling helped fund the early days of Star Racing Yamaha, and breaks down the team dynamics and tactics he used to get the most out of his riders—including pinning Cooper Webb and Jeremy Martin against each other. He also explains why he was so committed to Cooper Webb, what he saw in him early on, and even shares what Haiden Deegan is really like as both an athlete and a person.Gypsy Gang, as always, thanks for listening. Presented by Maxxis and Outhouse Coffee Co. Last weekend, the Monster Energy Supermotocross World Championship Playoffs got underway in Concord, North Carolina, at xMAX Dragway, and severe weather forced the cancellation of the event after the first 250 and 450 motos were run. Four lightning strikes in the area initially halted the event, but the ongoing threat of lightning, plus steady rain and impending nightfall, finally did the race in. For the most part, racers were relieved, but the fans on hand were upset, demanding refunds and the like. There is no debating the fact that the race could not have run with the lack of lighting in the motocross section of the course outside of the stadium, and the course was challenging enough without throwing in mud and poor visibility into the mix. Eli Tomac told us after Friday's practice sessions that it was "The sketchiest track I have ever ridden on." Throughout the weekend, the track claimed many victims, including top riders like Malcolm Stewart, Seth Hammaker, Julien Beaumer, and Garrett Marchbanks. Jett Lawrence said after the race that the track had a limit that could not be pushed, and that you had "to take your medicine out there," in the rough conditions. We talk about that, and a lot more, in this week's Kickstart Podcast, presented by Maxxis and Outhouse Coffee Co.!

Johnny Hopper joins us in studio once again, and this time we dive into some controversy. At the post-race press conference after Round 4 at High Point, Johnny asked Aaron Plessinger a question about Eli Tomac's potential switch to KTM — a moment that sparked backlash across the industry. Some loved the question, others hated it, and we break it all down, including Steve Matthes' reaction. We also discuss whether Supercross should start a feeder series, if scoop tires should be regulated, whether Jorge Prado can figure out the Kawasaki, and how Chase Sexton might adjust to that platform if he makes the switch. This one's full of drama — don't miss it! Gypsy Gang — if you liked this chapter, remember to like, subscribe, and hit that notification bell so you never miss a new drop!SPONSORS:
