April Peters voice has the same soul ingenuity and tone of India Arie’s ballads.  So kindly, she allowed me to play her latest song “Fly” in Episode 8. Angela V. McKnight was elected as the first African American Assemblywoman for the 31st District in the State of New Jersey back in 2015.  She is now serving her second term.  With the collaboration of Tiffany “The Budgenista” Aliche, they will empower the children in New Jersey to be financial fit. The one word to describe Angela is PASSION! Even though she wears many hats (including a political one), her number one priority is her grandson.  While loving her corporate job as a director in a medical education company, her mother and grandmother passed away.  This prompted Angela to begin the for-profit company called Care About You.  After realizing the dire straights the elderly were in financially, Angela left her corporate job and started a non-profit called AngelaCares,Inc. which is an intergenerational program. Due to the success of those programs, the Hudson County Democratic Organization and the Mayor personally approached her about running for Assemblywoman. She likes to say she was “drafted.” Since being elected in, she continues to work her programs AND be an Assemblywoman.  With Tiffany Aliche, she directly impacted the financial literacy of New Jersey’s current youth and future generations.
