Before Jason and Lisa can get to the horror holy land, they must get through one more bland Blumhouse Productions film. That is "Graduation", which is basically if "Oceans 11" was on the WB Network in the mid-2000's.
Well it isn't exactly Friday the 13th, but today seems as good a Friday as any to start a journey through our next horror franchise! Devyn Ray is back to go through every movie in the Friday the 13th series. We start with the film that started it all in 1980. Before Jason was taking Manhattan, or journeying to space, it was just a simple low budget horror movie, cashing in on the success of the movie Halloween. This first film is wild. It has lots of sex, strange camera angles, sweaters in summer, and Kevin Bacon! Zacary and Devyn go into all of the gory details, and as usual, they give out their awards for “scream queen of the week”, and “kill of the week”! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/inanotherworld/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/inanotherworld/support
Everyone knows that Bert from Mary Poppins is the earliest example of a one-man band - but that doesn’t mean he’s the best. Imagine if he was cranking out blackened, doomgazey post-metal, had a less confusing accent and didn't force innocents to dive into his chalk-based nightmarescapes. That's essentially Jason Roberts - multi-instrumentalist and sole member of Breaths. Jason joins us from Richmond, Virginia to chat about Breaths’ incredibly good debut album, Lined in Silver. We talk about influences, juggling music with a full time job and family life, and Jason informs us, in the most relaxed manner, that he once opened for a band so famous even your gran knows them. No big deal. Before Jason ushers the kids out of the house and psyches himself up for being on the world’s greatest podcast*, Graham and Kieran broach a broad range of enthralling topics - gardening, painting, cleaning and securing the future of this humble show by having babies within ten days of each other. Sometimes we wish we were listeners rather than hosts, so we could ride this audio rollercoaster unaware of the thrills that await us. *subject to opinion

In June of 1991, 20-year-old Jason Dies returned from Operation Desert Storm when the USS Horne docked in San Diego, California. He was now on leave and had a month to report to a new duty station in Pensacola, Florida. Jason never showed up and was classified as an unauthorized absentee and later a deserter. Before Jason disappeared, he mailed some packages to his family back in Louisiana. He phoned them and asked them not to open the packages. The mystery of what was in the packages and what happened to Jason loomed over his family for years. What had he sent them? Military secrets? Was there some kind of conspiracy? When Jason’s younger cousin grew up, she embarked on a journey to find him. She opened the packages and started pressing for answers. If you have any information about the disappearance of Jason Dies, please call NCIS at 850-452-4211. You can submit a tip online at https://www.ncis.navy.mil.

Before Jason deep dives into Total War: Three Kingdoms, we discuss what we’ve been playing. SPOILER ALERT: Besides Total War: Three Kingdoms we’ve been playing terrible games; like, super-terrible. Then we move on to gaming news: EA’s full line-up at E3, is GamePass coming for PC, Hideo Kojima might be insane, finally getting some news on Square Enix/Crystal’s ‘Avengers,’ Pokemon watches you sleep, and lootboxes!!! Then Jason mispronounces fairly easy-to-pronounce Chinese names. Jason Johnson has a passion for Police K-9’s and he has dedicated his life to working with them, as well as training and taking care of them. Jason believes that Police K-9’s perform selflessly for the departments and agencies they work for, and in return, they are not offered that same respect, in their retirement years, by those they served. It is Jason’s goal to ensure he educates the public on the costs and responsibilities of adopting a retired hero and that every Police K-9 in the United States has their medical, food and end of duty costs taken care of for them so they may live the healthy and happy retirement that they deserve. Currently, Jason works full-time as President and CEO of K-9 Solutions International (K-9SI), where he manages domestic and international K-9 detection contracts and consults with civilian and government agencies. When he isn’t actively working for K-9SI, he volunteers for Project K-9 Hero, working hard to grow the foundation so that he can serve as many retired K-9 heroes as possible. Before Jason began splitting his time between K-9SI and Project K-9 Hero, Jason served as a Field Canine Coordinator for the U.S. Government, where he provided program oversight and subject matter expertise to law enforcement canine teams and federal canine teams. He provided leadership, technical advice, guidance and direction to ensure the overall effectiveness and utilization of explosive detection K-9 teams. He ensured that national program policy, standards and guidelines were communicated in a clear and effective manner to a variety of internal and external stakeholders, while also ensuring adherence to such measures. He served as a K-9 liaison to civilian and law enforcement officials on the federal, state and local government levels. Cinematic Sound Radio - Soundtracks, Film, TV and Video Game Music
Welcome one and all to this very special International Podcast Day broadcast here on CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO. I’m Erik Woods the host and producer of CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO and today’s program is a film music roundtable discussion. On September 22nd, Jason Drury the host of THE ARCHIVE on CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO paid us a visit all the way from Ramsgate in the UK. He spent a week here in the Kitchener Waterloo area, visited the sites and traveled to Toronto for a day to check out the CN Tower and a Toronto Blue Jays games. Before Jason's visit, Robert Daniels of VISIONS IN SOUND and myself thought that with Jason here in town we should do a roundtable film music discussion. Just basically chat about film music and see if anything good comes out of it. We also invited composer David Coscina to participate. On Sunday, September 23rd, at 8 pm Robert, David, Jason and I crammed ourselves in one of the production studios at CKWR in Waterloo. We sat there and chatted for 2 hours and discussed a wide variety of topics from technology in film music, to the lack of women writing music for film to candid film composer interviews and everything in between. Before we jump into the show I just want to introduce the panel to you. Jason Drury is the host of THE ARCHIVE on CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO. He is also the producer of the fabulous epic three-part radio documentary on the life and music of James Horner. Also in the booth is David Coscina. On his Soundcloud page, he called his himself an anachronistic composer who believes strongly in the foundations of music laid out by Mahler, Stravinsky, Ravel, Debussy, Shostakovich, Vaughan Williams among countless others. David and I have been fortunate enough to work together on a few projects and since 2013 he’s giving CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO a unique musical voice by composing the CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO FANFARE AND THEME that you hear off the topic of every program. Manning the board is Robert Daniels. Robert has been hosting and producing his very own soundtrack radio program called VISIONS IN SOUND, which is quickly closing in on the 1000 episode milestone. The show can be heard on CKWR 98.5FM in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. The show airs live every Saturday morning from 12-2am (Eastern Time), Friday 9-11pm (Pacific Time) and you can listen to the program online at visionsinsound.ca Thank you very much for taking the time to join us on this very special day for podcasters. Let us know what you thought about the show. And if you have a suggestion for a future program then please email Erik Woods or make a suggestion via Twitter or Facebook. And if you listen to this program via iTunes please take a few moments to leave us a rating and some feedback. You read that right. This week is your opportunity to eat some wings and do some good. Lee’s Summit attorney Chris Turney joins the show to talk about his Wings 4 Water charity event taking place Thursday night in the parking lot at Bridge Space in downtown Lee’s Summit. Before Jason and Nick get to the wings, though, they talk a little about a proposed office development in downtown Lee’s Summit and how the developer has made changes to the plan based on feedback from area residents, property owners and other stakeholders.
Before Jason was 30, he had an entire empty room dedicated to a wood plank that he called his "bench." And before Kylee was 30, she owned a big, black futon. For the design curious, these unsightly symptoms highlight the home design goals we so desperately needed to hit when we grew out of the futon era. On today's episode of Pouf! – Home Design Goals To Hit By Age 30!
