Welcome back to Perko's Podcast!Well today, I am excited to introduce you to Clay Cooney. Clay is from the metro Atlanta, GA area. He grew up in an incredible family with two loving parents and three younger brothers. Clay's father is a real estate attorney and his mum is a stay at home mum. Clay majored in Economics and thought he wanted to be a lawyer like his dad for most of his life, but had a change of heart during his last year of university. After graduation, he went to work for a non-profit organization called Lighthouse Family Retreat, where families dealing with childhood cancer come to the beach for a week long getaway. After coming back to Atlanta where he had accepted a job doing commercial title insurance and he became involved in a new church plant that was just getting started in his hometown. He spent about one year working for a consulting firm in the Atlanta area and started a small business called Be At Ease Co. before making the decision to pursue ministry full time. Clay joined the North Point Residency Program, where he had the opportunity to work for North Point Community Church and attend Dallas Theological Seminary simultaneously. He has been working on his Masters of Theology degree and is currently the Director of Young Adults at North Point. The young adults is a new ministry that is being built in the Alpharetta area for adults in their 20's. Clay also met his (now) wife in the residency program and got married last year in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. It was a crazy year, but they have loved getting to be married.I hope you enjoy this conversation with my friend, Clay Cooney…More From Clay:beateaseco.comInstagram:https://www.instagram.com/jclaycooney/https://www.instagram.com/beateaseco/https://www.instagram.com/northpointyoungadults/Contact Jason:hello@jasonperkoperkins.comInstagram: @jasonperkoperkinsTwitter: @perkosplaceFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/jasonperkoperkins/https://linktr.ee/jasonperkoperkinsIf you like what you hear, feel free to share this episode with a friend! Welcome back to Perko's Podcast!Today on the podcast I am having a very encouraging conversation with my good friend, Peter Thomas, who is the director of Capernwray Australia. Let me share a little bit of who Peter is...Having grown up at Capernwray Hall (Torchbearers), England, Peter trained as a school teacher and taught in North Wales before joining staff at Capernwray Hall and then not long after joined staff with Capernwray in New Zealand. After 25 years leading the ministry in NZ he and his wife Elizabeth to Australia at the end of 2013 to lead the Capernwray Australia work based near Moss Vale, NSW. They have two children now grown up – Callum (who is married to Jazlyn) and Alexandra (a trainee nurse) – both love the Lord and serve in ministry in various ways.As well as his education degree, Peter has a Bachelor of Divinity and a Master of Theological Studies degree and preaches and speaks in a number of churches and conferences, as well as his main responsibility as National Director for Capernwray Australia and Principal of the Bible School.Peter is on the Board of MECO (Middle East Christian Outreach) Australia and has a deep interest in the history and current issues happening in the Middle East. His passion is teaching the timeless truths of Christ's life through the Word of God and relating that teaching to the everyday world. He is still keen on all sports and used to play soccer, and squash to a reasonable standard – he says the older he gets the better he was! He loves books and reads widely (both Christian and non-Christian material). Another obsession is coffee and his typical day starts with a personally ground and brewed espresso coffee.Contact Jason:hello@jasonperkoperkins.comInstagram: @jasonperkoperkinsTwitter: @perkosplaceFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/jasonperkoperkins/https://linktr.ee/jasonperkoperkinsIf you like what you hear, feel free to share this episode with a friend! Kim gives a teaser for her America's Veteran's Stories show this Sunday at 3 pm on KLZ. The bravery of the men and women who fought for the American Idea and against tyranny during WWII leaves us speechless. Gov. Polis' “Build Back Stronger” is reminiscent of Biden's “Build Back Better,” the same wording as the World Economic Forum. Polis announced a $700 million COVID-19 stimulus package. Karen Levine, award-winning realtor with RE/MAX Alliance and long-standing sponsor, states that the housing spring season is gearing up with high energy. Karen gives a few suggestions for those thinking of selling their house, including declutter. Most important is to have a professional representing your interests. Give Karen a call at 303-877-7516 to ensure that whether you are buying or selling a home you have a professional representing you. Aurora City Councilman Dave Gruber and the head of Public Safety Council discuss with Kim SB21-062 Jail Population Management Tools, which has a new “Double Speak” title. The bill currently stands to prevent some criminals from going to jail, such car theives; when one goes before a judge, the judge cannot force the accused to post a monetary bond, only a personal recourse bond and; the bill prevents sheriffs from jailing certain people/criminals. This legislation has no regard for personal property or the safety of the general population which is the primary role of government. Jason McBride, Senior Vice President with Presidential Wealth Management, reports that the DOW closed at an all-time high along with the small caps. NASDAQ took a slight dip. Contact Jason at 303-694-1600 to analyze your portfolio to see if you have a good mix of investment vehicles to secure financial success. Guest Reggie Carr, founder of i'MA Trumpster (imatrumpster.com) and i'MASuperPac (imasuperpac.com), joins Kim to discuss legislation at both the state of Colorado and national levels protecting criminals at the extreme detriment of the innocent and our property rights. Reggie emphasizes the need of everyday messaging on the founding principles of America to ethnic communities and our youth. Criminal activities that have no consequences give criminals complete power in their neighborhoods and crimes will only escalate along with more kids participating and losing innocence. The Colorado legislature is proposing legislation where criminals are not held accountable. Another piece of legislation, Colorado SB21-132, clamps down on “Freedom of Speech” and potentially fines Coloradans $5000/day for speaking the Truth. Reggie needs help with his mission of messaging to ethnic communities and our youth. He'd like to propose his plan to President Trump. Write to Trump at: President Donald Trump c/o Mar-a-Lago Club 1100 S. Ocean Blvd. Palm Beach, FL 33480 to encourage him to meet with Reggie.

The one thing that stands out between a high performing team and a non high performing team is relationships the team members have with each other and the trust they have. This dictates the performance and success of the team. There has to be strategy, tactics and tools used by the leader to ensure team performance. It's necessary to do this intentionally so as to ensure performance. Teamwork has to be a strategic priority. When a leader senses that a team member or two isn't really connected with the others what are some of the things they could do? One of Jason’s games is a set of cards that gets people to play simple question and answers. Asking each other 36 questions over 45 minutes and it leads to creating better understanding of each other. The key thing about trust is how you ask more vulnerable questions that allows people to share their personal experiences in a group because then other people see themselves in that person. What happens is that people focus on answering the questions or listening and they stop noticing the differences. That brings a stop to the made-up stories one has told oneself about the other person as they now have actual fact that they have heard from the person concerned. What this also does is help an individual to create a how-to-work-with-me manual by putting together questions the answers to which would help the person choose to work with the other. Given that we're all working remotely at the moment how do we connect better? Strategy is key. Recognizing how we are feeling, in the group sessions and in the one-on-one discussions, is key. In the pandemic disconnection creates loneliness. So reaching out an supporting the individual in a way that helps that individual is essential for a leader to do. A simple way to do this is to ask the group who helped whom in the past week for example and how. Hearing one say how the other helped creates a huge amount of emotional engagement. Being connected and feeling like one belongs are the key in having better connection between team members. Understanding basic human needs and working on that helps in creating the conversations that get team members to build trust and connectivity. Having these conversations bring about clarity and transparency of goals and processes and fosters accountability and responsibility willingly. It helps the leader keep the team engaged, connected and motivated specially through such times and ends up creating the required performance. How do you optimize your sales team to create more freedom? Sales success consultant, podcast host and author Jason Cutter has the answer! On today’s podcast, Jason discusses his role in helping businesses sell more effectively as well as his business wisdom. Jason is the founder of Cutter Consulting Group, where he works tirelessly to breathe new life into the sales industry. His focus is to help businesses fill in the gaps within their sales team so their reps are ready to hit the ground running. If your sales are stagnating, you have some gaps within your business or you have an uninspired sales team on your hands, Jason will help you optimize your sales tactics to help you meet your goals. His vision is to make sales more than just taking an order but rather an exciting, thrilling career. Jason’s Business WisdomOn today’s show, Jason also shares his wisdom learned from being in business for almost 20 years. He says one of the biggest challenges in business is being self-aware as an owner. Business owners need to ask themselves what their strengths and weaknesses are, what they need to focus on and what areas they need to bring in help for. Many business owners are typically biased toward one area of their organization, usually, the one they have the most experience with such as sales or marketing. With this bias in place, the other areas of the business suffer. Being self-aware of what you’re good at will allow you to delegate tasks that you don’t want to do. You have to put trust in your team and surround yourself with the right people for the job. These ideas are especially true when working in the digital space, as many businesses are dealing with chaos and overwhelm. Luckily, when it comes to sales, Jason’s consulting group has new and exciting ways to help your reps go beyond their quotas and really enjoy their careers. Thus, making YOU more money (and who doesn’t love that?).Are you ready to jumpstart your sales career? Does your sales team need a revamp? Will the streaming wars end the ability to advertise on TV? Whether or not that happens, creating content on YouTube is a tremendous opportunity for attorneys to grow their brand awareness and get more clients. YouTube is the world's second largest search engine, and if you can get in front of people looking for legal information on YouTube with interesting and educational videos, then you can turn some of those viewers into paying clients. Streaming is the future, and video content creation is a great opportunity to benefit from that future.Contact Jason - https://lawfirmppc.com/

Today we are joined by Jason Suttie, a mortgage broker based out of Chilliwack, BC. Jason is a member of our 10 Loans a Month program and he joins us to discuss his journey into brokering and the importance of enjoying your work. [2:05] What was your path into brokering like? I had zero finance experience. Out of college I had a marketing diploma and was bartending. I was recruited into life insurance and my father in-law asked me ‘Do you love insurance?’. He set me up to meet a broker friend of his and I took a job as his assistant. I’ve now been in the business for 18 years. [4:18] How long did you work as his assistant? 1 year. I spent another year training assistants and learning the business and products. It’s a hard dynamic. In the beginning you are paid more than you’re worth, then you reach a value for dollar level and most people jump ship. I believed I owed him for the experience so I was happy to make less than I was worth to help him for a time. [9:22] What is a quote that has had an impact on you? How do you implement it in life? “Maybe I destroyed the game, or maybe you’re just making excuses.” -Michael Jordan. “Don’t wish it was easier, wish you were better.” -Jim Roam. I am big on responsibility. I am accountable for everything. I don’t dwell on things; I’d rather just take action. [11:20] What failures have you had in your career and what lessons did you learn? A client was buying a presale, with only 6 months to close. He worked for his family’s business, and the income and company ownership were weird. The insurer backed out. We went to the old lender to structure a new deal. The financials were pulled and this type of business is notorious for having bad financials. I knew I would have to tell the client to sue me because he had removed the subjects. The experience gave me confidence - I know as long as I don’t tell you to remove subjects, I am fine. [16:32] What changes have you made in your systems to improve your business in the last 12 months? Hiring an assistant. It has improved my mindset and alleviates worry. They also hold you accountable for cutting corners. [18:30] What improvements have you made to your sales strategies? Working with you on the program has helped me to present a great product to realtors. It’s difficult to present a product and add value. I used to hate sales calls but now I love them. I’ve also worked out a strategy for social media marketing and networking. [21:06] What advice would you give to someone starting out in the business? Work on your product knowledge. Build relationships with lenders. [25:41] What’s your biggest takeaway from the 10 Loans a Month program? The product and the community. [27:19] What is the one thing that is holding back brokers? Getting caught in the weeds. Not leading. [28:14] What are your habits for success? Follow ups; There’s always a next step. [29:11] What are your favourite software resources/tools? A CRM. Automation will change your life. [29:46] What book would you recommend everyone read? Start with Why by Simon Sinek [29:51] If you had $100,000 to invest in your business, what would you do? Invest further in my CRM and marketing. Contact Jason here: https://suttiemortgage.com If you’re interested in becoming a deal creator, visit https://www.10loansamonth.com/call/ to find out more.

There are three types of keywords in Google Ads that attorneys will encounter: red, yellow, and green. Change takes time, there’s no where to hide, success you will find but only if you rise up and grind. Your mind will play tricks, trying to steal your wits and beat you down, leaving you with a frown, broken, defeated, these voices won’t leave you, so now we must focus and see through this goal of yours in a different lens, tracking the light as the beam bends. It’s the small wins that feed our soul, Im sure you’ve been told, close your eyes and hold your heart close to visualize the path you’ll take to succeed and realize the dreams you need to complete are merely a sequence of things, regardless of what life brings, have the courage to gather what makes the mind sing, new and novel ways of attacking the day and quickly you’ll find those voices will quite allowing your vision to gain the wisdom and thus you will finally achieve them." The U.S. sees six to eight medical malpractice claims per 100 doctors per year says Dr. Jason Shah, cofounder of Flagship Healthcare. If a judge rules in favor of the patient, the average settlement or judgment is about $400,000 — although that can vary widely based on where the claim is filed and the physician’s specialty. At the most basic level, physicians need to be insured for the potential of a malpractice suit. Check out the show with Jason as he walks us through the basics and nuances when pursuing this type of insurance. Jason Shah, M.D. is cofounder of Flagship Healthcare, a medical malpractice insurance firm that was acquired by Alera Group in 2017. Listen to this uplifting interview with Hypnotherapist Tamara Westwood and Intuitive Psychic Medium Jason M. Ciofalo d/b/a Jason Zuk. Jason adopted the pseudonym "Jason Zuk" in honor of his grandfather whose death inspired him on his spiritual path. When Jason's grandfather passed away in August 2004, he developed his intuitive abilities and realized that he possesses the ability to communicate with the other side. Since that time, Jason has read for hundreds of people and he has learned that our deceased loved ones tend to remain with us after they cross over to the other side. Common Jason Shares about death : (1) Time does not exist on the other side. (2) Death itself represents a peaceful process wherein the body creates a protective energy "cocoon" around the soul which safeguards the soul on its journey to the spiritual realm. (3) Most people do not realize that they have passed on until a close relative of theirs who has predeceased them greets them on the other side for the first time. (4) Death has been described by those who experience it as equal to when "one falls asleep on the couch while watching television." (5) Our Loved Ones can communicate with us and send us subtle messages and cues in our everyday lives. (6) Visitation Dreams represent a significant opportunity to interact with our Loved Ones while we are asleep. (7) Our Loved Ones can observe us and understand our daily activities and they will often refer to this information when they communicate with their "living" relatives during a session. Like many entrepreneurs, our story begins with annoying children. Of course, we’re talking about ourselves - Jason, from Albany, NY, and Bao from Richmond, VA. For those who know us, it’s no surprise that we were both classic ‘why’ kids… as in “Mommy, why do dogs have fur? Why do we do it that way? Why this? Why that?” You get the picture. Formal apologies to our parents are forthcoming. We were both brought up in neighborhoods full of other young families. Weekends were spent with dozens of people, neighbors and family alike, telling stories over food and drinks while the ‘why’ kids we’re busy puzzling over new and improved ways to create havoc in someone’s yard. Needless to say, it led us both to a deep appreciation of community. That love of community set us both independently on the path to real estate development where we could build high-rises that would have a positive lasting impact on our neighborhoods and create financial upside for investors. Jason Johnson – Project K9 Hero In this episode, Jerry Bradshaw and Jason Johnson discusses: · How Project K9 Hero came about and what it does today. · The different types of operational missions that one might have with explosive dogs and how to train for those. · A recent Facebook thread on false alerts and false responses from K9s and Jason’s take on that thread and what he saw on missions he was on. · The Cargo Screening Initiative and how the detection is changing and where it is going. Key Takeaways: · When working dogs are retired from government, they do not have a retirement fund to help with their medical bills regardless of what they do during their career. Project K9 Hero is striving to honor these dogs and ensure the best quality of life for them. · Train in your operational environment to give the dogs the best opportunity to work on the operations. · Don’t necessarily discount a training reward type. There are positives and negatives to both food rewards and toy rewards. Learn what works with your dog. Consider using both. · We should use dogs more proactively, rather than reactively, to increase the safety around the world. "If we want to be a secure nation, we’ve got to step up our K9 game. In Episode 7, we take a moment of pause from discussing our usual training, competing, and physical culture in order to look at strength in a whole new light. We look at the strength of the human heart, both literally and figuratively.
