Want to simplify how you run your business? Get it out of your head and into a system. Your project work, To-Do list, SOPs, content calendar, launch steps, swipe files, and more can all be housed in one system instead of across various apps and software, making it easy to store and find everything you need in seconds. This is so handy when you want to manage your time and boost your productivity, when you're ready to start delegating or outsourcing parts of your business, or if you just want to reduce the mental load as a business owner or entrepreneur. If you've already tried Trello, Asana, Monday, Dropbox your Notes app, and paper planners and none of them helped, we don't blame you for giving up and just winging it as best you can. But if you want to grow your business without burning out, systemising it is a must. The good news is, it doesn't have to be difficult. You just need a bit of know-how, a little guidance, and a helpful resource or two from someone who is already using a good system successfully - and we have the perfect person for you! In this episode, Marissa chats with owner of Socially Graceful Carly Smith about using Notion to simplify your business. Carly's passion is helping business owners nail their social media and email marketing, writing & implementing strategies for them, and freeing them up to focus on growing and scaling. Carly has a real knack for practical strategy that cuts out all the noise and helps you focus on the things that make a difference in your business. From social and email content to apps and software that make your job easier, Carly has the inside info on all of it! Object work - is it just a necessary evil or is the creation and continuity of imaginary objects in scenes vital. What power does object work have when it comes to affecting us, our scene partners and our audiences and where does it fit in the hierarchy of improv techniques and tools?Love this podcast? Listen in on a powerful journey of anorexia and the fight for inner beauty with my courageous friend Carly Smith. At 17 years old, Carly has more hard won, Christ centered wisdom, than most. Following a collapse on the track field and months of unsuccessful counseling, she entered an out of state treatment program without access to social media. In those screen free months she clung to God and began a life long journey of knowing her triggers, knowing her worth in Christ, and healing.
In this week's episode, the gang along with their special guest, Carly Smith, a Graphic Designer from Fogelsville, celebrate their milestone by discussing what constitutes a salad, the Higher education system and whether or not it is a waste of money to go to college, and open relationships, diving a bit deeper and discussing polyamory and polygamy. Find out if the cast of "May I Speak" survives this heated debate!
“Adjunctification is really this process of replacing full time academic positions with part time academic positions at lower wages and usually inferior, if any, benefits as a cost saving measure.” In this episode, we speak with Carly Smith and Susan DiRaimo, two adjunct professors at the City University of New York, the public university system of New York City and the largest urban university system in the country. They tell us about the daily reality for adjuncts and how their union, the Professional Staff Congress, helps them fight for better wages and working conditions. Their current battle is for a minimum salary of $7K per course that they teach, a radical demand that could finally bring many adjuncts out of poverty and change the national conversation about funding for public education. Music: “Better World,” by Woody Guthrie. Produced by Interference Archive
