We're back with some more Gilmore Girls! Join us in this journey on social media - @gilmorethemerrierpod. ABOUT: GILMORE GIRLS (SEASON 2 EPISODE 14) Christopher and girlfriend Sherry visit Stars Hollow. Lorelai brings Christopher to her parents' Friday night dinner, potentially stirring up family dynamics and past feelings. AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR: GILMORE GIRLS (SEASON 2 EPISODE 14) February 12, 2002 | The WB CAST & CREW OF: GILMORE GIRLS (SEASON 2 EPISODE 14) Lauren Graham as Lorelai Gilmore Alexis Bledel as Rory Gilmore BRAN'S GILMORE GIRLS (SEASON 2 EPISODE 14) SYNOPSIS Lorelai and Rory get to Luke's and no one is there! Just one of those lulls. Rory tells Lorelai about her debate competition this week. Lane calls Rory at the diner. Naturally, Lane can see the diner with a telescope from her room where she is stuck cuz she's grounded. They head home to watch some random British baking show called Two Fat Ladies, but they're interrupted by Paris who showed up because she thinks Rory needs more practice on the debate competition. Lorelai gets a call from Christopher. Turns out he's close by and she invites him to come to the debate competition. He says he'll be there. The next day, Rory walks by a payphone and naturally Lane calls it and asks her to pick up a new single for her. Lane is not well. It's debate time! The topic is a light one - doctor assisted suicide. They do a coin flip to decide who is pro or con. Paris picks pro. Christopher shows up….with another woman! Chilton wins. Afterwards, Lorelai and Sookie go to meet Christopher's girlfriend, Sherry. Lorelai and Rory come up with a game plan on how to handle this unexpected visit and they invite them home. Before they leave, Paris asks Rory to hang out and celebrate but she can't, which really upsets Paris if you can believe it. Sherry pulls Lorelai aside and is like you don't have to get to know me. Just because we've both had a relationship with Christopher doesn't mean we have to be friends. But she really wants to get to know Rory and asks if they can hang out tonight even though it's Friday night dinner. Lorelai is like uhhh sure. Lorelai talks to Rory and Rory says she's fine hanging out with Sherry. Lorelai asks if Christopher wants to come to dinner and he's like it's good grub, why not. They get to dinner, and when Emily hears that Rory is just having this night with Sherry, she's not thrilled and starts to interrogate Christopher about this Sherry. Then Rory bursts out that she doesn't think Emily should miss Friday night dinners unless she's sick and storms out. Lorelai goes after her and Emily says it should've been you! When Christopher finally got his life together, he should've been with you! To make matters worse, Emily blames Lorelai for everything. She says she's gonna go lay down. The next morning, Lorelai and Rory meet up at Luke's. Lorelai begs Rory for all the Sherry deets. And she gives her ALLLLL the deets including how Sherry wants kids. Lorelai asks Rory if she ever hoped that she and Christopher would get together. Rory says sure I've pictured you being with dad but I've also pictured you being with Pee-wee Herman and living in his playhouse. Before they can get back to the serious convo, Rory has to run out to watch and make sure the plan to get Lane her CD works, including Kirk stopping Mrs. Kim to talk and Michel jogging by and dropping the CD in the bag. Back at Luke's, Sherry and Christopher come by to say goodbye. Sherry leaves to say goodbye to Rory and Christopher apologizes to Lorelai for last night. Lorelai says I realized something last night - all these years, I always had you in the back of my mind. The prospect of us being together. I think I subconsciously sabotaged every relationship I've ever been in because I knew you were always there. Now that I know you're not, I can move on. Believe it or not, Christopher doesn't handle that well. He says don't put that on me. You're dumping 15 years of being unhappy on me. Don't blame me. This blowup is loud and naturally Luke watches and does nothing. Watch the show on Youtube - www.deckthehallmark.com/youtubeInterested in advertising on the show? Antares just closed a massive $470M Series C, was welcomed to the Oval Office by President Trump to celebrate becoming the first startup to achieve reactor criticality under the Department of Energy's reactor pilot program, and is now racing toward delivering the first commercial microreactors to the U.S. military. It's Marvel Monday and we're meeting the Eternals! ABOUT ETERNALS The saga of the Eternals, a race of immortal beings who lived on Earth and shaped its history and civilizations. AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR ETERNALS November 5, 2021 | Theatrical Release CAST & CREW OF ETERNALS Director: Chloé Zhao Writers: Chloé Zhao, Patrick Burleigh, Ryan Firpo Cast: Gemma Chan as Sersi Richard Madden as Ikaris Angelina Jolie as Thena Salma Hayek as Ajak Kit Harington as Dane Whitman Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo Lia McHugh as Sprite Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos Lauren Ridloff as Makkari Barry Keoghan as Druig Ma Dong-seok as Gilgamesh Harish Patel as Karun Bill Skarsgård as Kro Harry Styles as Eros BRAN'S MOVIE SYNOPSIS This movie starts off with too many words. But no fun music like Star Wars, so I didn't read it. Cut to a triangle flying close to something that looks like the sun. Inside, these folks in funny robes stand back against a wall when a voice says it is time. This gold stuff turns into their suits. Apparently they don't know each other. It's 5000 BC in Mesopotamia and a crazy sea monster eats this kid's dad. Suddenly, this superhero flies in and takes that monster down. We see the other heroes take down other monsters. We got a group of 10 superheroes on our hands. They stand in V formation and wait for the people to thank them. One of the heroes leans down and hands a kid a knife. Here's who we have: Ikaris: basically Superman Sersi: can like mess with matter Thena: creates a weapon out of pure cosmic energy Kingo: laser fingers Phastos: creates advanced weapons and technology Makkari: basically the Flash Druig: mind control Gilgamesh: Hulk but not green Sprite: can change the appearance of things and appears as a child Ajak: the spiritual leader and healer who serves as the primary communicator with their Celestial creator Cut to present day and that knife is in a museum as an artifact that shaped history. The Eternals are still alive, cuz they're eternal. Sersi and Sprite live together in London. Ikaris left her without explanation centuries earlier. She's moved on and is now in a relationship with human Dane. When the trio is attacked by a monster like in the beginning. They're called Deviants. Ikaris arrives just in time to save the day. The Eternals were under the assumption there were no more Deviants. Which is why the Eternals haven't been in action for the past 500 years. We see a flashback of when Sersi and Ikaris got together…and I mean got together. #NotMyMarvel. They end up getting married. Back in the present, the 3 Eternals make it to South Dakota expecting to meet up with Ajak, only to find her dead. So it's time to get the band back together to figure out what to do next. Sersi is the new leader and meets with Arishem - the Celestial that sent the Eternals to Earth. Sersi learns that the Eternals' mission was actually to prepare Earth for the Emergence of a new Celestial. See, for millions of years, he has been planting Celestial seeds inside planets where the energy from large populations allows new Celestials to be born. The Deviants were sent to destroy the apex predators of each planet to ensure the development of intelligent life, but the Deviants evolved and started eating said intelligent life. So he created the Eternals to fight them. Now that the population of humans has reached the necessary size to allow the new Celestial to be born, Earth will be no more. Sersi doesn't love this and tells everyone else. Everyone is down to stop the plan. Everyone except for Ikaris. We find out that Ajak wanted to stop the Emergence and save humanity, so he led her to the Deviants and allowed them to kill her. Sprite joins Ikaris cuz she's in love with Ikaris while Kingo chooses to leave, agreeing with Ikaris but not wanting to hurt his friends. It's time for another truly insane Festive Friday movie! ABOUT A CHRISTMAS SNOWED IN WITH A PRINCE During a freak blizzard, a remote British lodge is shut down with just two guests: Ellie, a sarcastic travel blogger, and a handsome, overly polite guest who's definitely not from around here. Turns out, he's Prince Alaric, stranded while trying to escape royal duties. With only each other and no Wi-Fi, sparks (and snowballs) fly. AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR A CHRISTMAS SNOWED IN WITH A PRINCE December 8, 2025 | Streaming CAST & CREW OF A CHRISTMAS SNOWED IN WITH A PRINCE Director: E J Marshall Writer: Craig McLearie Cast: Faith Kiggundu as Ellie Christian Ndonda as Prince Alaric BRAN'S MOVIE SYNOPSIS This movie is 1hr and 11 minutes and you'd think that would mean they'd get right to it. Wrong!! We see scenery for a while. Suddenly, we're in the woods. We meet Ellie. She's a travel blogger who is trying to find this remote lodge. She walks around in the woods for a longgg time, saying things like "oh no" and looking at a map. She finally finds a lodge and when she walks in, she sees a guy. He's very confused by this check in book thing. So she helps him. His name is Alaric. When the lodge owner shows up, she assumes they're together. Ellie explains she's trying to find the wellness retreat. Turns out she's way lost and with the big storm hitting, she's gonna have to stay the night. The internet is down so she has to pay cash for the room which she doesn't have, so Alaric pays for her room. She's very annoyed by Alaric but when he says he doesn't know how to cook, she offers to make them dinner. They eat and talk. He doesn't know what a blog is. It's a whole thing. Suddenly, another couple shows up. They met at the lodge decades ago and come every year. But the lodge has slowly become less popular. They decide to all decorate the lodge together. Martha shows back up for some reason. She's grumpy. The next morning, Alaric tries to make breakfast and it's an absolute disaster. Ellie comes in and is both horrified and charmed. She encourages him to loosen up with the way he talks. But they're having a good time hanging out. She tries to get to know him more - where he's from, why he talks this way, etc. He's not having it. He thinks she's gonna use it in one of her stories. So they get in a snowball fight. He opens up about his troubles with his family. They don't see eye to eye. They all sit down to eat together but first, Christmas crackers. In his cracker is a paper crown which makes him real upset and he storms off. She goes to calm him down and tells him how nice this trip has been because of him. He finally tells her that he is a Prince, but he doesn't want to be. She agrees to keep his secret. Later that night, they talk some more and end up kissing big ones under the mistletoe. The next day, THEY FOUND ALARIC! Ellie wants to go with him but he says it won't be safe. He says his goodbyes and leaves. Ellie is finally able to make it home. She's feeling sad, so she goes onto her blog to read some good comments and respond to some comments about how amazing she is. She starts to write blogs called The Prince and the Nobody. And it starts blowing up. She gets a call from a publisher who wants to publish a book version. I'm unsure of the timeline but it seems like the book comes out and it's a smash hit. She wants to go back to the lodge to have a book reading. Alaric shows up and tells her that he's denounced his title and wants to be with her. They kiss and decide to spend Christmas together at the lodge. It's Tuesday which means there's a new Hallmark movie to review! ABOUT SNOWBOUND FOR THE HOLIDAYS A ski lodge owner faces financial ruin and possible loss of his family's mountain retreat. As he grapples with mounting debt, a savvy hotel executive arrives to assess the property, setting the stage for an unexpected holiday adventure. AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR SNOWBOUND FOR THE HOLIDAYS July 18, 2026 | Hallmark Channel CAST & CREW OF SNOWBOUND FOR THE HOLIDAYS Director: Christopher Giroux Writers: Courtney McAllister, Tim Stubinski Cast: Vanessa Lengies as Cassidy Evergreen Marcus Rosner as Trey Sanderson BRAN'S MOVIE SYNOPSIS Trey Sanderson runs a ski lodge but still finds time to get out there on the slopes. Trey is a unique fella who still prefers to listen to his tunes with a Walkman and crappy headphones. We then meet Cassidy Evergreen who helps run hotels with her bossy mom. She wants to be VP of Operations. Her mom is like nah. You don't have what it takes. You're not tough enough. Plus, she spends money on custom ornaments. That's not what executives do. Cassidy says well how about I go assess a property and show you I have what it takes to make big decisions. Of course, that property happens to be a certain ski lodge. Trey's father-in-law, Sam, who Trey runs the lodge with, tells him that he's ready to retire and he thinks they should consider selling to a dude named Asherton. Trey isn't having it. He's not ready to give up on this place. Cassidy shows up and checks in and is immediately charmed by Trey's daughter, Lilly. Speaking of Trey, the lights flicker and he ends up bumping into Cassidy, spilling her hot chocolate all over the floor. Talk about a meet cute! It doesn't take Cassidy long to realize that this place is struggling. The snowmobiles aren't working. And to make matters worse, the power goes out. And we're only a few days from Christmas Fest! Trey realizes who Cassidy is and is quickly annoyed by how much she pipes in with her thoughts and opinions. She overhears him talking to Sam about how he doesn't want to sell. She says I want to help you save your lodge by making Christmas Fest bigger and better than ever and maybe get it into some new technology in the process. She starts opening up to him about how she feels like her mom doesn't really believe in her. And he opens up to her about the loss of his wife. She tells him that if he does need to sell, he could also work into the deal that he needs to stay on and keep the staff. They go out tubing together and when they get back to the lodge, she's shocked to see that her mom showed up. Clearly she doesn't trust her to do this on her own! Her mom hears about what she's doing and tells her if you're banking on Christmas Fest saving the day, you're setting yourself up for disappointment. Turns out, her mom actually went to the lodge as a kid, every year for 10 years. That explains why she and Sam were flirty flirty the night before. After dancing to some music on his tape player the night before she's supposed to leave, they end up ALMOSTTTT kissing, but are interrupted by his daughter. They go to a Christmas lantern event and almost kiss again. They say their goodbyes and it's very sweet but she ends up missing her flight! So she gets to stay a little longer which gives her this idea - Evergreen should buy the lodge. She knows that this Asherton guy is a bad guy. Before she can talk to them, Asherton shows up and is like the mountain is mine baby! Cassidy runs in and is like no it's not, cuz we just bought it! Trey does not take any of this well. She goes after him and is like I know it looks like I went behind your back but I promise we just wanted to save the lodge. But Trey isn't having it and storms off, saying she obviously only cares about trying to get a promotion. She needs to find him to talk to him but he's on the slopes. So she has to conquer her fear of skiing and find him. She crashes into him and they laugh. She pitches what their plan really is which honestly sounds like a really bad business plan for the Evergreen family. The deal is a go! And Cassidy is going to stay!!! And they end up kisssingggggg! Lori Foster talks to Carol Fitzgerald about her latest novel, THE LAKE HOUSE, which our reviewer Bronwyn Miller says "would be perfect to toss into your bag as you head to the beach or the lake, or as you're relaxing in your yard when you need a sweet escape from the everyday." Set in Bramble, Kentucky, it's the second installment in her Firefly Summer series, following last year's THE GUEST COTTAGE (though it easily can be read as a stand-alone title). Lori talks about being a linear writer, allowing the story to bring her along. The role of her new character, Brogan Rafferty, as an inexperienced caregiver provides both emotional depth and comic relief, grounding the novel in relatable human experiences. Amusingly, Lori enlisted her loved ones during a Sunday gathering to help her do the math on the ages of her characters across these two books, which became a fun family activity. From there, Critter Corner returns with a lively look at the Uinta ground squirrel—its habits, its hijinks, and why this little burrower is a true sign of spring across the Mountain West. The storytelling fire burns bright with a new tale of Flint Mallory, a snowstorm, and Bramble's legendary Biscotti Warmer, a contraption whose origins may be as mysterious as the blizzard itself. Expect myth, mischief, and that signature Den blend of sincerity and absurdity. To close out the night, the Bighorn Buckaroos bring the barn roof up with their new Western Swing number, “Snowball Spring Swing,” a toe‑tapping tune perfect for the season's thaw.If you enjoy cozy fiction, frontier storytelling, Americana music, wholesome comedy, or old‑time radio‑style podcasts, Dawson's Den is your weekly place by the fire. Read transcriptDigivolve your PlayStation controllers and prepare to shuffle your way through the most wonderfully confused identity crisis in gaming history, because this week on Play Comics we're tapping into the pixelated card-battling chaos that is Digimon Digital Card Battle for the PS1! Released in 2001 when every entertainment franchise on Earth was racing to cash in on the trading card game gold rush sparked by Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh, Bandai decided their digital monsters deserved a piece of that sweet, sweet card-slinging action. The twist? They didn't just adapt the existing Digimon trading card game – oh no, that would be far too simple. Instead, they created an entirely NEW card game exclusively for this PS1 title, because apparently someone at BEC thought “You know what kids collecting physical cards really need? A completely different set of rules that only exists in digital form!” What emerged was a gloriously polygonal fever dream where Veemon, Hawkmon, and Armadillomon became your partners in a card-battling odyssey through Battle Arenas, all while you sacrifice Digimon from your hand like some kind of digital monster cult leader gathering “DP” (Digivolve Points, not whatever your brain just went to) to evolve your creatures into increasingly ridiculous forms. It's rock-paper-scissors meets card game mechanics meets “please stop making me grind the same battles 300 times to unlock the secret final boss.” Joining us for this digivolved discussion is the phenomenally talented Sahoni from Bramble Wolf Games! When they're not busy crafting games that actually mean something or channeling their Queer and Indigenous (ᏣᎳᎩᏱ ᏕᏣᏓᏂᎸᎩ) storytelling magic into unforgettable tabletop experiences, Sahoni brings their narrative expertise to help us understand how this PS1 oddity somehow convinced an entire generation that carrying around 30 digital cards was infinitely more practical than the hundreds of physical ones weighing down their backpacks. So crack open that PS1 jewel case, practice your best “I'm going to pretend I understand these Support Card effects” face, and prepare for an episode more entertaining than watching the same Digimon battle animation for the 47th time. We'll explore whether this card-game-that-never-was actually honored the spirit of the Digimon franchise, or if it just left us wondering why we couldn't trade our digital cards with friends like we could in literally every other TCG game of the era! Learn such things as: If watching the same PS1-era polygonal battle animations 300+ times builds character or just destroys your will to live? Why the game forces you to read tiny PS1-resolution text on cards and whether that counts as an accessibility nightmare or just “authentic retro experience” Why creating a brand-new trading card game that only exists in one video game is either pure genius or complete madness (spoiler: probably both) And so much more! Send us a textFrom Deities to Deep Throats: A Stellar Ride with Mina BrowerGods who beg. Dreams that fuck. Grief, guilt, and galaxy-sized smut.In this unholy episode, debut indie baddie Mina Brower takes us on a wild ride through A God of Moonlight and Stardust, her slow-burn, soul-punching romantasy where a haunted heroine is torn between two powerful men: one who mourns her, one who dreams of her, and both who want to ruin her in ways that are… spiritually devastating. We go deep (in every sense) on writing trauma with tenderness, slipping spice into celestial settings, and the anatomy of a good "squelch" scene. Plus, Mina spills the behind-the-scenes filth—including dream threesomes, villain worship, clit-sucking commentary, and why the word “grind” should win a Pulitzer.Featuring a “Sip & Strip” segment that had us sweating and a quote so filthy it nearly broke the transcript.Spoiler-free. Spiritually feral. Galactic thirst turned all the way up. You're not ready—but press play anyway.GRAB YOUR COPY OF: A God of Moonlight and Stardust!✨ Follow Mina: @minabrowerauthor
