Today's message comes from the passage in Acts where Paul stands before King Agrippa and relates his conversion experience. The challenge from this message is for all of us to strive toward opening the eyes of the lost and to have them turn from darkness to light. As Christians we need to do what Jesus wants us to do--to reach the world for Him. This audio message was from the broadcast shown that morning on local TV from Two River Baptist Church in Nashville, Tennessee.

Ephesians 5:25-26 - Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, Transcript: What kind of church does Christ want? What kind of congregation does Christ want your church to be? In Ephesians, chapter five, we read that he wants a church that's submissive as a wife is to a husband. He wants a church that is glorious. He wants a church that is without spot or wrinkle, verse 27, or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. Christ wants a church that's been washed in the blood, and that's holy and sanctified. Does that describe your church? Dig a little deeper in God's word and learn more today. Text of the Day: Believers who are poor have something to boast about, for God has honored them. And those who are rich should boast that God has humbled them. They will fade away like a little flower in the field. The hot sun rises and the grass withers; the little flower droops and falls, and its beauty fades away. In the same way, the rich will fade away with all of their achievements. God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. (James 1:9-12) Reflection Questions: 1 — When people ask you what you “do,” how do you answer them? (In some ways, this is where you have placed your identity, and sometimes, your value). 2 —What can you do to readjust what you are proud of in your life? Of what do you boast? 3 —How can you remind all of those around you of your identity in Christ? Want to get in touch with someone at CRSWLK? Email podcast@crosswalkvillage.com
Here are some questions to get you thinking: 1— Are you prepared to put your identity completely in Christ? 2— Are you willing to see the opportunity in the trials and troubles you will inevitably have to endure? 3— If you put your identity in Christ, what would that mean to you every day, every hour, every minute? 4— Is there someone you greatly admire in faith that you would like to echo in your life? 5— Can you reach out to them and ask for mentorship? 6— What is the design you would like your faith to take? 7— How can you be explicit in identifying what that ultimate design looks like in your life so you can begin to engineer your path to it? 8— Who are examples from scripture you would like to emulate? 9— Why is faith so hard sometimes? 10— What sort of trials and troubles are you currently experiencing and how is it growing you closer to Christ?
