Gustaff Young dj and producer born in Salamanca in the mid-90s, who from the age of 12 began to be interested in electronic music, with influences such as Ricardo Villalobos, Carl Cox, Sven Vath ... but little by little he found his true musical trend, basing his sets on a very characteristic groove, between house and techno, influenced by artists such as Darkrow, Guille Placencia, George Privatti ... In 2017 he began his career as a producer editing on labels such as HardCutz, where he managed to support by Maceo Plex on one of his remixes of his first release. Shortly after, he has signed with labels such as Datagroove, SelectechHouse, 1994 Music, Shake Recordings, DzB Records ... In this 2017 he has managed to enter the section of highlights on the cover of Beatport twice, once in the Tech House genre and another in Minimal As a DJ, this past year has helped him to get to know various venues in Spain, sharing the bill with artists of the level of Alan Fitzpatrick, Davide Squillace, Paul Ritch, Luca Agnelli, Raul Pacheco, Mar-T, Richi Risco, Charles Ramirez ... Getting recognition from Todd Terry by doing an official remix for his label InHouse which Todd charted highly in both his Spotify & Traxsource charts and also releasing on a classic favourite record label Nervous Records (NYC). DC Dubz launched in 2016 as a podcast to showcase his DJ sets and build his audience from the ground up, the releases soon followed with tracks out on Datagroove, My Own Beat Records Mexico , Music Related London, Porky Records , Whoyostro. After a few months the show gained some recognition and was given a bigger platform, now hosted on Data Transmission Radio monthly, this is a great home for the show and in good company too along with shows from Defected, Circo Loco, Nic Fanciulli, Steve Lawler, Roger Sanchez and many more making up the Data Transmission rosta. DC Dubz is lucky enough to have experienced several musical movements over the last two decades, heavily influenced by the sounds coming from the House,Rave,Jungle/Drum & Bass and Garage scenes growing up in London in the 90’s/00s was a melting pot of creativity and down right good parties! Spending his teens working behind the counter of Cage Records Ealing and frequently visiting the likes of Uptown Records & Blackmarket he was submerged in music from the likes of Todd Terry, DJ Sneak, Armand Van Helden, Kerri Chandler, Masters At Work, while embracing the sounds coming from both the US & the UK a career in music was the only logical path. Visiting Fabric religiously every Saturday as well as regular trips to the End, Turnmills and many other great venues in London helped shape DC Dubz’ knowledge and musical style along with frequent trips to Ibiza attending Cocoon to see Loco Dice, Ricardo Villalobos, Marco Carola and of course Sven Vath, opened up a whole new spectrum of sounds and this is what inspired and motivated him to get into producing his own tracks.
