This podcast is full of innovative, exclusive and underground music, presenting the listener with new and fresh music from top Djs and producers all over the world. Gustaff Young dj and producer born in Salamanca in the mid-90s, who from the age of 12 began to be interested in electronic music, with influences such as Ricardo Villalobos, Carl Cox, Sven Vath ... but little by little he found his true musical trend, basing his sets on a very characteristic groove, between house and techno, influenced by artists such as Darkrow, Guille Placencia, George Privatti ... Estudiando solfeo y piano durante mas de 8 años, ya con 16 años descubrió el mundo de la electrónica y es en 2006 donde tuvo su primera toma de contacto con los Technics y los vinilos. En poco tiempo es residente de la discoteca OH (A.Coruña) de la mano de Miss Dune y compartió cabina con grandes de la música electrónica como Darkrow, Mario D´Fer, David Herrero o Cristian Varela. Por aquel entonces estaba muy influenciado por la música Techno, Ben Sims, Sven Vath, Carola, Carl, Varela, Umek, Richi etc cuando los bpms no bajaban de 138 pero a partir de 2010 y con las nuevas tendencias de la época, empieza a experimentar por otro camino, el nuevo Tech-House, eso sí, sin perder el ritmo ni la contundencia típica de los bombos Techno haciendo sus sets muy dinámicos y potentes. Ahora en la actualidad está influenciado por D-Unity, Matt Sassari, Dennis Cruz, Andrés Campo, Wade y otro largo etc. Después de recorrer discotecas desde Galicia a Castilla León y pasando una temporada por Coimbra en Portugal, decide residir en Madrid, donde pincha en numerosas salas/clubs y fiestas privadas y comparte cabina desde Mario Mendoza hasta Pelacha, César Almena, Iñaki Villasante entre otros. Desde aquí también visitó salas de Zaragoza y Valencia donde pincho en la mítica sala Spook, una historia viviente de la ruta del bakalao. Después de una largo aprendizaje tras tantos años de mezclas consigue que sus sets estén impregnados de sentimiento, profundidad y gran ritmo en cualquier pista de baile. Lleva tiempo jugando con Ableton deseando plasmar toda su pasión por la electrónica, perfeccionando su sonido día tras día hasta poder lanzar un buen Original Mix. After a long apprenticeship after so many years of mixing, he manages that his sets are imbued with feeling, depth and great rhythm on any dance floor. He has been playing with Ableton for a long time wanting to express all his passion for electronics, perfecting his sound day after day until he can launch a good Original Mix. Welcome to this week's edition of Subterranean Homesick Grooves™, a weekly electronica-based radio show presented originally on CHMA FM 106.9 at Mount Allison University in Atlantic Canada (but expanded to distribution on other terrestrial and internet-based radio stations), and also distributed as a global podcast through iTunes. The show is normally programmed and mixed by Jonathan Clark (as DJ Bolivia), although some weeks very occasionally feature guest mixes by other Canadian DJ's. The show encompasses many sub-genres within the realm of electronic dance music, but the main focus is definitely on tech-house and techno, and a small amount of progressive, trance, & minimal. Due to the mix of styles, you may hear combinations of tracks that wouldn't normally be featured together in a DJ's live set, but this show is intended to feature various styles of electronic/dance music. I pay a lot of attention to the programming, and to the development of energy levels. If you're a first-time listener, you might think that the start of the show is quite tame, on the slower and "deeper" side of house or techno. However, give it time. Pay attention to how the styles change throughout the mix, and how the energy builds. Sometimes, I'll be very erratic and jump around between several genres, just for fun. Sometimes, I'll do a particularly dark show, with a heavy emphasis on techno. Most of the time however, you'll find a mix of mostly deep house or minimal or deep techno for the first third of the mix, building into a more upbeat section of tech-house through the middle, perhaps building up to some energetic tracks at the end, which often trespass into the realm of more contemporary house. Don't treat the show as a collection of individual tracks ... think of it as a cohesive experience; an hour-long aural journey of reflection and beats. infeCtious 018 comes from Diego Matias. Diego Matias, a.k.a Diego M, was born on a 7th of July, 1992 in Quilmes, the south side of Buenos Aires, Argentina. At the age of 4, his family moves to Madrid, Spain. Here's where he started to get a feel for house music by the old raves in the towns party’s. In 2003 he moved back again to Buenos Aires, and at the age of 15 he starts his amateur dj career winning his first dj competition and creates Brothers whit his best friend, and they start playing b2b in a lot of parties and clubs. Influenced by international djs like Marco Carola, Joris Voorn, Richie Hawtin, Loco Dice, Paco Osuna, Pig & Dan, and some local national djs such as Ariel Rodz, Adrian Hour, Juan Zolbaran, Mariano Trocca and Matias Sundblad, he finds his music style that goes from quality deep house trough groovy tech house and techno. They have played in many underground clubs from Buenos Aires, but the most important was the gig at the recognized club, Bahrein, whit Sebastian Arevalo, at the Moulhouse Crew party. You can hear Diego M's tracks at international labels such as Bedroom Muzic, Comfusion Records, Steel Ground Records, 666 Recordings, Royal Box and Yaakun Records to name a few.
