Jaye Ward, what a bloody legend! In the sometimes insipid, fickle and murky waters of the dance world not many have navigated its depths with the wisdom, style and sophistication that Jaye Ward has. A force of nature who's been wielding the acid, since acid began, Jaye still embodies the raw spirit of UK club culture – screaming into the void and moving bodies. For three decades, she's been keeping it real in the sweaty backrooms of Stoke-on-Trent's Golden to the hallowed halls of fabric. Her path weaves through the history of British dance music like a rebel's tale – from squat parties to Sabresonic, from The End to Turnmills, from Homobloc and Dalston Superstore to Field Maneuvers…and maybe somewhere else this summer that we might have a little hand in. Jaye, like the best of these humans walking this rather odd planet, is a restless spirit and this mix she's done for us is a fucking belter that reflects that. It's an examination of Jaye's unwavering devotion to the weird and wonderful corners of dance music. From a DJ who's seen it all, Jaye remains perpetually curious. Get this in your ears, expect the unexpected, blur the conventional and dissolve into pure feeling…ONWARDS Read more: https://www.theransomnote.com/music/mixes/jaye-ward-the-alternate-currents-ransom-note-mix/

Hey Everybody, 2000 to 2010 was a great decade. I hit that milestone of 40yrs half way through & for me, the deep house / underground house scene was at its zenith during that period. I spent the 80's in disco's called things like, The Roxy. I spent the 90's mostly in fields or disused aircraft hangers, but the 00's, with de-restriction on opening & licensing hours, was what bought underground clubbing to the masses. When I wasn't playing out, I was on a lot of guest lists so my core group & I did a lot of clubbing. We also did our best to consume as many pharmaceuticals as possible & sleep was something of an illusion for most weekends. Our gang had a mostly similar musical taste, though all preferred their house a little more generic than I would've chosen. So we'd maybe start off smart & sweet smelling at Pacha, then head down to Turnmills to get our sweat on to a little tougher. 6am saw us kicked out, but you could just rejoin the queue & go back in for Trade, a gay night that toughened things up a little more & ran through till lunchtime. A quick cab home to shower & change, then it was off to Vauxhall for Fire. Another gay gig that negated our change of clothes as everyone in the place was stripped to their waists & throbbing along to the soundtrack. So it came that eventually we would make it back to my mates place to settle in for the comedown. Of course, by this time I was desperate to hear “my music”, either to shuffle-dance along with myself, or to sink into the luxurious carpet & contemplate the complexities of existential dichotomies whilst transported to far away places by soulful beats over a booming bassline. Naturally, or rather chemically, I was in no condition to dj for myself, so I put together a couple of premixed CD's of the deep & soulful kind. Those two CD's hit 18yrs & 20yrs this summer, so by way of a celebration, this mix is an amalgamation of them both & a loving tribute to the amazing hours I spent on carpets in Putney & the people that shared them with me, all coming together for a track-list that went like this..... In April 2019 KAV SANDHU (Happy Mondays) launched BLITZ VEGA with ANDY ROURKE, the legendary bassist who helped craft the iconic sound of the 80s with seminal band, The Smiths. His recognizable and undeniable iconic bass lines from Barbarism Begins at Home to How Soon Is Now helped solidify the sound of the Smiths. I'm excited today, as we welcome as we have a double header of guests! Firstly we have Grammy Award-nominated DJ/Producer Todd Terry has been engulfed in dance music since he first started listening to European dance music records while growing up in Brooklyn. In the mid 90's, the Ministry of Sound's eponymous UK label released A Day In The Life, a collection of Todd Terry tracks that had been causing dance floor panic. That then led the way to a deal with Mercury Records allowing him to set up a context in which to work with his favourite singers and performers. The first release, Keep On Jumpin' on featured a vocal workout from super-divas Martha Wash and Jocelyn Brown, together for the first time ever. The song became a top 10 UK crossover pop hit and a worldwide smash. Secondly, my good friend Mr Steve Mac, is an English house music producer and DJ who is half of Rhythm Masters but also had a few alias including These Machines and under his own name. And it's as Rhythm Masters when I first learnt about Steve remixed Keep On Jumpin' - which to this is one of my favourite all time remixes and one of the first records i ever brought. I then became friends with Steve whilst working at Turnmills and Rhythm Masters and Steve have been part of Data Transmission birthday celebrations across 8th, 9th, 10th, and now in our 15th month… Flash forward a quarter of a century and last month, Todd's freeze records released a mighty mash-up of two Todd's classics, ‘Jumpin' and ‘Keep On Jumpin', courtesy of Steve Mac, who has been tearing up dance floors with this potent secret weapon. If you want to release on the biggest labels and DJ for the biggest brands, this podcast will give you a wealth of insights into how to do just that!
Trade at Turnmills was a legendary London Queer nightclub that's unapologetically hedonistic late-night parties transformed the way we party. Opened in the wake of the AIDS crisis and a decade of conservatism under Margaret Thatcher's rule, Trade gave LGBTQ+ people a space to celebrate and explore their identity, carving out a revolutionary space for London's queer community to party at while their very existence was under attack. In this episode, Dan is talking to Brandon Block. Brandon is an internationally renowned DJ who strives to help people struggling with alcohol and drug addiction after going through rehab many years ago. Dan and Brandon talk about the extent of his addiction, sharing crazy stories and tips on how to stay on the path to recovery. KEY TAKEAWAYS Brandon talks about his book “The Life and Lines of Brandon Block” where he discusses his history with drug use and his dramatic recovery. There is an innate human urge to help and give back. Everyone is connected and we all work best when supporting each other. Brandon once got so high on Cocaine that he jumped off a Ferry into dirty, radiated water in Hong Kong, which resulting in him having part of his lung removed. He also tells the story of how he stormed on stage at the Brit awards and got in trouble! We live in a world that promotes anxiety and keeps us on edge. This is why it is really important to stay in the present. Practice meditation to release anxiety and get clarity! Burnout occurs when you are overstimulated and you become braindead. Brandon talks about his experience with Burnout and how he overcame it. The media sometimes forced Brandon into taking Cocaine for the cameras, it became necessary for him to be able to “perform”. BEST MOMENTS “All music was about love, we championed club music from all around the world” “The crazy days were CRAZY, nothing could happen apart from partying” “I was existing on Cocaine, that was my life” “Anxiety is our inbuilt fight or flight reaction” VALUABLE RESOURCES https://www.cocaineanonymous.org.uk ABOUT THE GUEST Brandon's incredible career started in 1985 at his local boozer in Harrow, before the emergence of Acid House in the late 80s brought numerous gigs at super clubs including Ministry of Sound, Turnmills and Miss Moneypenny's and several appearances on BBC Radio 1's Essential Mix. Brandon cemented his superstar DJ status alongside Alex P on the legendary terrace at Space, Ibiza in the 90s. As official DJ to the icons like Elton John, Kate Moss and Donatella Versace, he is also one of the fashion scene's go to performers. As one of club culture's most notorious - and best loved - figures, Tony is a complete force of nature. In his recent book I Don't Take Requests, he tells the most extraordinary stories of depravity and hedonism, of week-long benders and extreme self-destruction - and of recovery, redemption, friendship and the joy of a good tune.'Anyone can get a party started, but no one keeps it going like Fat Tony, the energy never dips andwhat a life he's lived.. He's a tosser but we still love him.' ELTON JOHN & DAVID FURNISHDJ Fat Tony has been described as 'the closest thing that club culture has to a national treasure' and the 'unlikely cult hero of quarantine'. Few people have crammed so many lives into one: when your first line of cocaine is aged 16 with Freddie Mercury, where do you go from there? I Don't Take Requests is Fat Tony's breathtakingly candid and outrageous memoir of a life of extremes. From his childhood on an estate in Battersea where he honed his petty criminality, was abused by an older man and made friends with Boy George, to his teenage years spent parading the Kings Road in his latest (stolen) clobber, working as a receptionist for a prostitute, hanging out with Leigh Bowery and Sue Tilley and creating his drag persona, to his life as DJ to the stars and his spiral into serious drug addiction. Now, he is 16 years sober and, alongside working to help others overcome addiction, DJing for everyone from Elton John to Louis Vuitton - and running one of lockdown's most popular Instagram accounts with its wickedly funny memes. It’s O’Cardio and you listening to new episode of Telavivusession #24 Two first tracks was my last works and for sure is it will be available as ‘’free download’’, so if you like it, you can get it from my page! This EP have special guest, my big Soundcloud-friend from London - Mark Bailey also knows like MAN 2.0 in the second part! Check it out! Mark Bailey aka MAN2.0 has been splicing together sounds longer than he can remember, as a teen he graced the microphones of some terrible covers bands as well as DJing some of the most hedonistic house parties that Hayes Town had to offer, while by day working at the local record store. After throwing away his guitars and buying an appregiator his music gained a bit of attention from the Ransom Note and was taken under the wing of Tronik Youth. From the age of 18 he regularly attended Fabric and the now defunct End nightclub and Turnmills immersing himself in London’s club scene. With forthcoming releases on Nein and Night Noise, he gets the opportunity to attempt to emulate the sounds of his heroes Laurent Garnier, Darren Emerson, Ivan Smagghe, Andrew Weatherall and Justin Robertson. I'm in the company of greatest this week with two of the biggest exports to come from Northern Ireland. Champions in their own right. One is a superstar DJ & the other is a Bantamweight World Champion Boxer. Both living in the Entertainment Capital Of The World & adapting to life during the Coronavirus. The first time in a life time that Las Vegas has ever closed. This is an extended version of the Lockdown with two unbelievable success stories, the first podcast they have done together & it's really worth a listen. A world champion boxer who fought two of boxing's best, Prince Naseem & Erik Morales & went the full distance with both of them. Never once knocked down in his professional career. From being a champion to more recently finding himself in the depths of despair & coming right back up again.Fergie has DJ'd all over the world, since sneaking into nightclubs aged 14. To playing 250 dates a year in Vegas, to now enjoying studio life & the first downtime of his career. More recently playing to 150 thousand people at MDL BEAST. The first ever music festival to take place in Saudi Arabia.Taking me on a road trip with a parrot (a real one). Being refused entry to Turnmills at Ministry Of Sound in London a night that he was headlining. Eventually was allowed in because he was with me. We still to this day don't know who that doorman thought I was.Sure you know yourself. (There is a little tiny bit of strong language - This podcast was recorded in advance of the Premier League restarting.)
016: Smokin Jo. Smokin Jo is a DJ who has been on the scene since the early days of the UK club scene. Her meteoric rise saw her top the DJ Magazine Top 100 DJs poll back in 1992 and, to this day, she remains the only female to have won that accolade. Building her career by regularly playing to huge crowds at Trade at Turnmills, Jo’s career went to the next level after she became a resident at Space in Ibiza for a decade and remains an ever-present name on the scene appearing frequently at events like Glitterbox. In this chat we talk about all of the above as well as her love for yoga and her training up of a new generation of superstar DJs.FOLLOW US Instagram: @houseculturenetSpotify: House Culture - Perfect PlaylistOnline: www.houseculture.net|| See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
We are back with Madame Electrifie (aka Little Jo) talking about her glittering DJ career and journey into production with her band Cassini Circles. Fusing the best vintage beats with the best of the modern age; Madame Electrifie takes classic grooves and threads through everything from hip hop, to house, breaks and drum and bass to create a raucous dance floor focused party, all with that distinctive driving sound that's a firm nod to her breaks and tech roots missed with plenty of funk, fun and nonsense on the way. In 18 years on the decks, she's played some of the UK's leading venues across the years, from Ministry to Turnmills, and has graced many of the leading London warehouse parties supporting some of the biggest names in electronic music over the years across all spectrums of the dance music world including The Stanton Warriors, Jon Carter, Elite Force, A Skillz, , Annie Nightingale, Rob Da Bank, Krafty Kuts, and a whole host of bands. In contrast, her band Cassini Circles are a electronica act featuring vocalist Shannon Kait and producers Jo Burns (Madame Electrifie) and Yoshe Watson. Their music takes a journey through dark brooding basslines and haunting vocal melodies, through electronica, trip hop and house. Influenced by the energy of the dancefloor combined with the ambience of the after party, it's a heavy blend taking in influence from everything from jazz to dub. https://soundcloud.com/cassinicircles https://soundcloud.com/madame-electrifie Soundcloud.com/threadsradio
013: Tall Paul. Tall Paul is a giant on the DJ scene who has been rocking dancefloors for nearly 30 years. Honing his skills by apperaing on (and running) pirate radio stations in London, Paul and his family found themselves in the right place at the right time to take on the Turnmills building - turning it into one of the capital's icons of clubland with regualr nights like Trade and The Gallery. Still very active on the scene, Paul continues to play his unique mix of high energy house music to crowds across the globe and in this chat we talk about the house music history he has partied his way through as well as his exciting plans for the future. Tall Paul was one of the biggest UK DJs of the 1990s, made famous originally via his residencies at Turnmills in London. In fact, his Turnmills Friday night "The Gallery" is still running (nowadays at Ministry of Sound). He toured America and the world, has an Ibiza residency, and scored a couple of huge hits, not least Camisra's "Let Me Show You".Changing times, family, burnout and a loss of direction all took their toll on Paul in the 2000s, as his passion for music warped into business commitments, and he stepped back for several years. Recently however, spurred on by the revival of interest in 90s UK clubbing, he has returned to the studio and to gigging regularly. In this episode of Tales From The Dancefloor, he shares his the story of his ups and downs.Paul's Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/dj1tallpaul/
Grahame Farmer's music career commenced on the dance floor of renowned London Club, Turnmills of Clerkenwell Road 15 years ago, when a chance meeting with club owner Danny Newman and a ballsy statement along the lines of "your website is shit" resulted in Grahame running and managing all of the Turnmills online presence for its remaining five years in operation. In this interview we talk frankly about fun times in the glory days of the club, and what Grahame fondly describes as his "Cavernous Wonderland", including Roger Sanchez's parties, reforming the Happy Mondays in Turnmills studios, and the subdued shivery nature of Monday mornings at the office following a weekend of raving at the club. Grahame also shares his self taught strategy for the growth of his business, Data Transmission, which started in Turnmills and has now grown to become an online music platform that extends into all social media channels and that has recently expanding its service portfolio into online radio, a record label and consultancy services for DJ's and professionals in the music industry. He talks openly about the bumpy ride of being in the music business and shares some of the insight behind what it has taken to shape Data Transmission into the credible and well respected music brand that it is today. Grahame doesn't hold back either, as he recounts what it took to turn around a business that was hemorrhaging money in order to climb out of a cash flow hole and reboot the business into profitability.Helping artists promote themselves is now at the heart of what Grahame does and in the last year he shares how his "Boost" service for DJ's and emerging artist has helped increase bookings, get DJ's signed to labels and provided clarity to artists on their social media strategies. With all that plus running a Traxsource acclaimed record label, an interview with David Guetta at ADE, a packed 2020 calendar and Grahame's favourite track of all time right at the end, makes this an open and fun chat with plenty of insight and laughs from an evolving master of music media.Thank you very much Grahame for taking the time to share all this with me!A bit about me …. Fiona White I love playing chilled, deep, and tech house music as well as listening and sharing stories from artists and people that inspire me. Box of Frogs (my very own Frogcast) is my way of doing that, whilst also connecting with people who, like me, enjoy smiling more through life.

Peace. P.
Hello amigos This week , we have a producer / DJ from London DC Dubz You Can follow the show: Sunday at 21.00 on Radio Vibration Bruxelles 107.2 FM - Mons 91.0 FM http://www.vibration.fm/player/brussels.htm Monday at 08.00 on HouseOfHouse Radio * http://houseofhouse.be/ * Tuesday at 21.00 on XBeat * http://www.xbeat.org * Wednesday at 22.00 on HouseOfHouse Radio * http://houseofhouse.be/ * BIOGRAPHY DC Dubz has been fortunate enough to work with some of his early influencer’s, and childhood heroes! Getting recognition from Todd Terry by doing an official remix for his label InHouse which Todd charted highly in both his Spotify & Traxsource charts and also releasing on a classic favourite record label Nervous Records (NYC). DC Dubz launched in 2016 as a podcast to showcase his DJ sets and build his audience from the ground up, the releases soon followed with tracks out on Datagroove, My Own Beat Records Mexico , Music Related London, Porky Records , Whoyostro. After a few months the show gained some recognition and was given a bigger platform, now hosted on Data Transmission Radio monthly, this is a great home for the show and in good company too along with shows from Defected, Circo Loco, Nic Fanciulli, Steve Lawler, Roger Sanchez and many more making up the Data Transmission rosta. DC Dubz is lucky enough to have experienced several musical movements over the last two decades, heavily influenced by the sounds coming from the House,Rave,Jungle/Drum & Bass and Garage scenes growing up in London in the 90’s/00s was a melting pot of creativity and down right good parties! Spending his teens working behind the counter of Cage Records Ealing and frequently visiting the likes of Uptown Records & Blackmarket he was submerged in music from the likes of Todd Terry, DJ Sneak, Armand Van Helden, Kerri Chandler, Masters At Work, while embracing the sounds coming from both the US & the UK a career in music was the only logical path. Visiting Fabric religiously every Saturday as well as regular trips to the End, Turnmills and many other great venues in London helped shape DC Dubz’ knowledge and musical style along with frequent trips to Ibiza attending Cocoon to see Loco Dice, Ricardo Villalobos, Marco Carola and of course Sven Vath, opened up a whole new spectrum of sounds and this is what inspired and motivated him to get into producing his own tracks. So first off, thanks for all the positive feedback on the last episode. People like the jams! Or at least that mix fired up the people that like to provided feedback. I was very conflicted on that episode because it was so long but I just had so much trouble making cuts! Glad it worked out. Also glad y'all are making use of the Spotify playlists, which you can find here. It's slow going but I am backfilling. Eventually they'll all be up. However, I'm finding for the early podcasts many songs are not on Spotify. You'll have to just check the original episode. I've been listening to the really old episodes and I had forgotten, they used to be less than ten tracks. And once again got me thinking about the pro and cons of playlist size creep. I think less than ten is too short for a podcast that only comes out monthly but then again, for the most part, I think 30 is too many. Sometimes it's okay though. And occasionally it has to happen! With that in mind, brought down the editorial ax much more severely on this episode. It went through a lot of revisions. The original feel I was going for changed dramatically but it is 100% prime cuts now, start to finish. Couple comments and corrections to the voice over. First, I misspoke. I first featured Maribou State not on podcast 55 as I said but instead on podcast 52, Understated House. Coincidentally, it was the first episode I featured Rufus (now Rufus du Sol). And second, I realized why I found that guitar sample on the Nightmares on Wax track so familiar. It's because Pretty Lights used the same sample for his song Finally Moving. Who sampled it first? Hard to say since both albums were released in 2006 but my money is on N.O.W. since he's the vet. I only realized today that the album I linked to for "You Wish" wasn't the classic In A Space Outta Sound but was instead from N.O.W. Is the Time, a best of compilation from Nightmares on Wax celebrating his 25 year career as the longest serving artist on Warp Records. And now I realize with all that talking I've said almost nothing about the actual music on offer today. Eh. Just listen. It's good. Thanks for listening and don't forget to support the artists. Chubby! on Facebook: www.facebook.com/chubbyrecords Don Carlos on Facebook: www.facebook.com/doncarlosdj Carlo Troja aka Don Carlos hails from Varese, in the North of Italy, and has been active as a DJ from the late 70's. He debuted as a producer towards the end of the 80's with the single 'Alone' on Calypso Records (IMRA), which became one of the cult tracks of the international Deep House scene. His productions have always mixed House rhythms with afro-american jazz sounds, verging sometime towards disco, sometime towards progressive house or electronic soul. In 1992 IRMA USA released his first album 'Mediterraneo', followed in 1993 by the Montego Bay project, produced together with Stefano Tirone (S-Tone Inc.), also on IRMA. He then released some singles on the Chicago based label Guidance under the Aquanauts moniker. He also reached the UK charts with the hit ‘You Make Me Feel’, sung by Byron Stingley, cover of the cult song by Sylvester. In 2000 he released a single on Erik Morillo's Subliminal Soul label and played highly acclaimed gigs at Ministry of Sound and Turnmills in London. In 2002 he released his third album ‘Music in My Mind’ featuring top guest vocalists like Kim Mazelle, Michelle Weeks, Taka Boom and Kevin Bryant. Following two mixed compilations ('Cafe De Paris Saint Tropez' and 'DJ Set') in 2004 IRMA released a collection of his 90's productions titled 'Mediterraneo', like his debut US album.
"THE DEEP CONTROL" presents a series of podcasts ! Darien J (London, United Kingdom) Bio: Darien's innate passion for music started early at 12; being unofficially, but undeniably responsible for the all-important mix tape for the Friday Stockton-On-Tees after-school gathering. He quickly realised the unadulterated personal pleasure derived from seeing others light up and bond as a result of sounds he'd selected. This desire to help orchestrate togetherness and pure joy on a dance floor has only strengthened and is what drives him today. From these early days, DJing has featured heavily in Darien's life. In 1994 he moved to London which is, in his words, 'the epicentre of the world's most innovative and influential dance music'. Inspired by legends like Sasha, Danny Rampling and Laurent Garnier, Darien began to develop a trademark sound, sharing this with the crowds at many of London's iconic clubs including Turnmills and The Egg through the naughties. His growing love of a particular style led him to start creating his own music, with his first release in 2008. Darien J's sound is distinctive; at its core deep bass but fused with acid house, deep minimal and melodic techno combining to create an infectious groove. He started recording in 1990 for Sheffield label Ozone Recordings under the name of Panic with a release called Voices Of Energy, which was then licensed to Buzz in Belgium, Buzz 001. Buzz then went on to release classics by Carl Craig and Derrick May. Aubrey set up his own label in the same year - Solid Groove Records. The label had 30 vinyl releases over thirteen years and tracks were licensed by Derrick May, Terry Francis, Pete Tong, Adam X, and Carl Cox. As well as this he ran four other labels - Textures, Dark, DOT, and Cheap Knob Gags. Recorded Live at Out-ER Showcase at OHM (Berlin) on 26.11.2015 At the age of twelve he became an avid bedroom DJ which taught him the skills that have taken him through a successful and professional career spanning twenty-two years. From his first residency at the Portsmouth club Central Park at eighteen, he soon found himself in London spinning next to Carl Cox, Groove Rider, Colin Dale, Mr. C etc, at such raves as Energy, Raindance, and clubs such as The Astoria, The Gardening Club, The Pirate Club, The Marquee, Turnmills, Deep Space, Ministry Of Sound, Mr. C’s Release partyies and residencies for Fantasy FM and the famous south coast club Sterns. His music tastes are very varied with his first love of Hip Hop as a teenager, moving quickly onto the emerging Acid House scene from Chicago and then to Detroit Techno and New York House. Due to working in record shops he has a big knowledge of all three genres.

This was the style of music I originally started playing in London at Warriors which was the Sunday night at the now defunct Turnmills, home of Trade. I was asked to spin Trade in 2002 and became a regular on the main floor. You can hear the heavy influences Tony De Vit and Tall Paul had on my early sound and productions/remixes.
With my beloved Sands and Sam away in SA as its fairly hot here in Dubai, I am in that quieter time of year again and finally I was able to spend a few days record shopping. After a couple of house mixes and a big beat bouncer earlier this year, I fancied making something more progressive and uplifting and the end product is 3 hrs long, using 33 mostly new tunes. I did however manage to sprinkle in 3 or 4 oldies for good measure including the last tune "I am" by Chakra albeit a new A&B remix. This is a classic for me as I first purchased the original on vinyl way back in 1997 this was when we used to go to Peach at Camden Palace or Gallery at Turnmills back when trance was trance! The mix starts slow almost classical then into some deeper progressive stuff but builds quickly to full on progressive house where it stays for a good while before I pick up the tempo towards the end moving into some big room stuff and some full on trance at the end. Turn it on, turn it UP, sit back and let the goosebumps flow! Tracklisting is below: 1. Quiter is Louder - Above & Beyond - Anjunabeats2. The Bridge feat Sian Evans - Jody Wisternoff - Anjunadeep3. This weeks episode of the CityWestPodcast comes from Shindig resident Mark Lowry. Monikers - Mardel, Airgroove, S-Low, Damaged People, Black Atlantic, Solaris Heights. Easily surpassing over a decade and a half of active service as one of the North East’s most successful and notably humble DJ’s and producers of electronic music, Mark's dedication towards production values has landed him gigs and invites up and down the UK at some of the countries best clubs including Turnmills, The End and Global Gathering Festival. Mention the word “Resident” though, amongst Newcastle's proud cobbled alleys of clubbing and Mark's reputation will most certainly come up in conversation. Not one to simply fade into the background as part of the furniture only to reappear on a Saturday night on cue, Marks versatility to deliver to Shindig’s fiercely loyal crowd with quality house music at night is backed up by the exceptional standard of production coming out of his studio by day. Mark has dabbled in deep house, progressive and techno along the way and in the process built up a impressive CV; Past and present studio work covering all angles and including non-dance related teaching projects are a welcome escape and development platform for Mark's sound, which ranges from club oriented sounds, to soul infected grooves; all seemingly operating on a common notion of melody. In 2008, Mark took his Shindig relationship even further collaborating with Lexicon Avenue's Scott Bradford and Mark Armstrong under the alias S-Low & Damaged People. Collaborations and accompanied remix projects, on labels such as UrbanTorque, Saw (Mardel), Movim (Airgroove) and Positiva, have not only gained plenty of support from underground DJ's, but represent another chapter and slice of Mark's output, whilst subsequently raising his profile as a name always on the rise. In particular re-workings of Pete Moss and Scope giving a outlook and passion for music, not tethered by style but of consistently layered deep house, never forgetting the important and often overlooked drench of musicality. With no shortage or ideas or goals, Mark now co-runs the Urban Music Training academy in Newcastle (that our very own CityWestRecords are also in partnership with) and is still heavily involved in the Shindig Warehouse Parties at W34. 1.Disclosure Feat Sinead Harnett "Boiling" 2.Monte "True" 3.Dog Days "Mia" Rodriguez Jnr Remix 4.Dusky "Mystics" 5.Hasan Mogol "Gedankenzirkus" Art Of Tones Remix 6.Fred Everything "Get Up" 7.Digitaria "You Bring Me Down" 8.Andre Crom "Reality" Dusky Remix 9.Halo Varga "Future" Hipp E Remix 10.Chopstick "Listen" 11.Maxxi Soundsystem "Get Up" Danny Daze Remix 12.Lovebirds "The Beast" 13.Homework "Im Into This" 14.Bonnar Bradbury "Carlos The Jackal" http://www.residentadvisor.net/dj/marklowry https://www.facebook.com/events/403049106409018/

Rod B, Mareis & Garfunk Brings you Miami Undeground Movement - A true force to be reckoned with as a DJ and producer, Nicole Moudaber’s rise through the ranks of the DJ elite has been swift, purposeful and striking. Propelled by her flawlessly executed, sleazy, edgy house and tough, soulful techno sound, she picked up no less than Carl Cox and Steve Lawler as early fans. Carl snapped up her early tracks for INTEC and Steve featured her music on VIVa & iVAV. Since then she’s supplied killer tracks for labels like 8Sided Dice, Kling Klong, Monique Musique and Waveform Recordings, while remixing names including Santos, Martin Eyer, Mauro Picotto and Fergie. Pretty much a perfect start to an artist career that began relatively recently. Hitting New York after a youth spent in Africa and the Middle East, Nicole initially explored her passion for electronic music as a promoter, bringing the NYC style parties she loved to Beirut for the first time, then booking huge acts for her Soundworx nights at London’s legendary Turnmills club and running Southeast Recordings. But it was the decision to dive in and start to DJ and make music herself that was proven the most important. Once she unleashed her creativity, everything simply went ‘boom’. Carl Cox identified her as exactly the kind of fresh talent he wanted to playing at his weekly nights at Space in Ibiza, where Nicole has since DJed regularly alongside him for the last 3 seasons. Requests for guest mixes on both Carl and John Digweed’s internationally syndicated radio shows followed, as did the endorsement of Pete Tong, who named Nicole a rising star on BBC Radio 1’s Essential Selection. Her tracks picked up the support of yet more DJ royalty like Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer, Loco Dice and Danny Tenaglia, who was so impressed when he DJed with Nicole that the two of them have been working together both in the studio and on throwing an incredible outdoor party at Ushuaia in Ibiza. With further residencies in Ibiza - the place she now calls home – and Cologne, plus recent high profile gigs at Ministry of Sound and the SW4 festival in London plus the Dance.Here.Now Festival in New York, her reputation for groovy main room mastery has really taken hold. Meanwhile plans for a launching a label of her own, plus a mix and tour for the hugely influential Global Underground series are all under way.

Rod B. & Alvaro Garfunk bring you the Miami Underground Movement Pioneer "is one that first opens or discover paths through unknown regions." The career of DJ and producer Anderson Noise is a pioneer in electronic music from Brazil. Марк Марберг сделал несколько ремиксов на такие треки, как "I begin to wonder" и "Perfect Accident". Johan Gielen. Having exploded on the scene as a DJ to watch back in 2004, Anil Chawla has since soared through the ranks of the music world to establish himself as one of the UK’s most hotly-tipped electronic DJ/Producers.Anil’s tale began in Maidstone, Kent – as a resident for local night Mongo Bongo, which saw him mix it up alongside the then (relatively) unknowns Nic Fanciulli and Mark Knight. As word of his talent soon spread, it wasn’t long before dance bible Mixmag made Anil as one of their first ever ‘Mixmag Future Heroes’ and some of London’s leading clubs came knocking on his door. The legendary (now defunct) Turnmills wasted no time in offering Anil as many gigs as they could muster and unbelievably the following year (2005), Anil DJ’d at the club more times than any other DJ in the world – something ridiculous like 35 sets in total… not a bad start for a rookie at the start of his career! As a Together resident (and a very popular one at that), Anil has shared the bill with some of the world’s most influential players including Green Velvet, Josh Wink, John Acquaviva, David Guetta and Felix Da Housecat to name a few and every time his sets have stood out equally alongside those of the more experienced global stars. Other regular commitments include gigs in in UK (Manchester, Brighton, Leeds) and abroad (Canada, Poland and Georgia), plus rather excitingly, the prospect of an ongoing international tour with cult label Global Underground.Anil’s debut track with partner Dale - 'Disco Stew', was snapped up by Nic Fanciulli for his Saved Records label, whilst the follow up ‘Makes Me Feel’ featured on Fanciulli’s ‘Renaissance presents Nic Fanciulli Vol.1’ compilation. ‘Disco Stew’ and ‘Makes Me Feel’ are also set for a re-release this year complete with a new remix package. With so many of his own tracks (productions & remixes) to pick from, Anil’s sets remain highly charged, very unique and always entertaining. Anil is very much the clubber’s DJ… always unselfishly playing for the crowd and letting the mood of the night determine his next track. Anil is held in very high regard by his peers and big-hitters like Hernan Cattaneo, Funk D’Void, Pete Tong, Dave Seaman, Max Graham, Chris Lake, Tim Sheridan, Cass & Mangan, Tom Stephan, Greg Vickers and James Talk are constantly championing his sound all over the world. Catch this amazing live set from Ministry of Sound's Global Underground party for the launch of Felix Da Housecat's GU Milan album in May 2008.MySpace: Anil ChawlaDownload as mp3Subscribe to this podcast with iTunesSubscribe via your RSS reader

Hailing from the murkiest waters of Southampton, James has already achieved a tremendous amount at such a young age and it seems like things aren't slowing down either. Be it through his DJing or productions, causing mayhem on the world's finest dancefloors with the very best in funky tech and acid house is his specialist subject and it takes no mastermind to realize that Talk is the name and very much the answer. Rewind ten years and James' addiction to this stuff we call house was already in its infancy. Allured by the acid basslines piercing their way through the sky every Saturday night from nearby fields and warehouses, James soon discovered that his attention was being drawn away from his eight times table and towards the likes of Prodigy and Underworld. James' fascination rapidly reached new levels when at the age of 14 he purchased his first set of decks, followed soon after by his first DJ gig in a youth club in his home town. With many gigs at student nights soon to follow, these early steps paved the way for James to nurture his unique sound and gain a greater understanding of how to move a crowd. Fast forward to the new millennium and James decided to try his hand at production with almost immediate success. His first track 'Eggs Are Cute' was signed by Nu-Republic Records, receiving major support from the planets leading DJs including James Zabiela and Sasha. Tracks packed with similar acid riffs and killer b-lines were soon to follow with three of them being instantly signed to Saved Records, following a chance meeting with label boss Nic Fanciulli. The first 'Love That Acid', reached no 10 in the UK Buzz Charts, whilst the other two 'House Rhythm' and 'Get Down', both received critical acclaim from all sides of the dance music press, with the latter appearing on Nic's Renaissance mix compilation. Further praise was given to James in a major interview when Fanciulli uttered just three words when asked who the next big thing in dance music was; "James Talk ' Amazing." James has continued to work alongside individuals who have helped him advance musically by completing reworks for the likes of Buick Project, Audio Magnetics and Danny Howells, whilst a three track EP, under his Ri-Tek alias, has been signed to Phil Docherty's Pravo Recordings and gained support from the likes of John Digweed, Steve Lawler and King Unique. Recently James has been working with none other than Pete Tong in the studio, with the duo recently completing a remix of Wally Lopez for Pacha Records. Such productions have also resulted in James' DJ diary fill up rapidly, only furthered by a superb guest mix on John Digweed's Kiss 100 show in February 2005. He has now played all over the UK and beyond alongside luminaries such as Nic Fanciulli, Lee Burridge, James Zabiela and Desyn Masiello and looks forward to upcoming gigs at Godskitchen, Renaissance, Fandango at Turnmills and New Years Eve for High Tide. James will finalise what has been a fantastic year by mixing the next CD in the Thinking Out Loud series, due for release at the end of 2005.
