It's The Good Glow with the incredible Ben Hunt Davis, who is a former British Olympic rower turned performance coach, keynote speaker, and author. He wrote the book Will It Make The Boat Go Faster. This way of thinking became huge within The Good Glow community after Dr Brian Pennie told Ben's brilliant story at one of our live shows. It's only natural that we had to approach Ben to hear this story from him. We are so grateful for his time. This is an excellent episode that will help remind you of ALL THAT IS POSSIBLE, once you set your mind to it. Thank you Electrosal for all the support this season Tickets - Christmas Show
Today, we share a story that is deeply moving, and this is not a sad story, I promise you that. This is a story of true resilience, overcoming and gratitude. And it will inspire you to appreciate every minute and afterwards, your heart will be full. Tracy Holmes lives in Greystones with her family. Her son Harry was born in 2018 and shortly afterwards, Tracy and her husband Andrew, decided to try for a second. Shocked, she discovered she was expecting twins. And when Theo and Freddie were born, Tracy was told Freddie has Down syndrome. What could have broken her made her see how strong she really is. One particular low day, it was an interaction with a lady who was cleaning in Crumlin hospital that changed everything for her. Then a sign from the universe cemented her hope even more. Freddie has defied all odds, he is changing the world with his spirit and determination, and once you listen to this podcast with Tracy, it isn't hard to see where he got it from. Calvin O'Brien and Terrance Flower aka as the creators of the Talking Bollox podcast join me on the podcast today. They had one intention when they started their podcast and that was to change the perception of the North Inner City. That they've done and more. 300 episodes later, multiple sell out live shows, the lads have not only changed people's perception but have become trailblazers, pillars of their community, champions for sobriety. In a world that is paying very close attention to Donald Trump, Andrew Tate and toxic men, they are exactly what we need and excellent role models for young people in Ireland. I loved every second of this episode and I hope you do too. Thank you Electosal for supporting The Good Glow this season.

NEW! The 40's Stretch - Stretch Marks with Sinéad O'MoorePlease welcome my second guest, Laura Nolan Horgan, founder of LNH Edit, mother of 3 and BRCA gene warrior who in her early 30's said no thanks to Ovarian and Breast cancer and underwent a Salpingo Double Ooverectomy, full hysterectomy which removed her ovaries, fallopian tubes, cervix, womb and double mastectomy - and while this saved her life, it also plunged her straight into surgical menopause. Laura shared her story on Georgie's Good Glow podcast 4 years ago which gives a really good insight into her BRCA Gene story and well worth a listen - but here, with the grace of time and distance from this traumatic life grenade, Laura shares the hormonal impact thereafter. We talk about HRT, how Menopause and Women's Health specialist, Dr. Deirdre Lundy brought her back to life, reclaiming her sense of womanhood and the lessons every woman should know from someone who had to learn the hard way, far far too young.
