For all their good, surgical instruments can also be harmful when used incorrectly or irresponsibly. Once again, we welcome Dr. Ben Hechler to the show as he and Dr. Stucki walk us through the best practices for preventing injuries caused by dental instruments. We discover how oral surgeons view their instruments before learning of the dangers of surgical blades and dental elevators. Then, we explore the importance of jaw pressure, dental drills gone wrong, common dental instruments that also pose a threat, and the slippery tools that may cause harm if not carefully considered. We also discuss forceps and how to use them better to prevent injury, what you need to know about suture needles, the inadvertent trauma of anesthetic needles, and the value of unbridled truth. Key Points From This Episode:How we perceive and use instruments as oral surgeons. Examples of how surgeons can cause harm with surgical blades. The dangers of misusing the periosteal elevator or dental elevator. Why you always need to pay attention to the amount of pressure you put on a patient's jaw. Highlighting potential injuries when using the dental handpiece. What to be weary of when using sweetheart retractors, throat packs, and sponges. Unpacking common forceps-induced injuries that Dr. Hechler encounters. The Minnesota cheek retractor, and other unexpected tools that may cause damage. Suture needles, and inadvertent trauma from dental anesthetic needles. Why surgeons shouldn't be ashamed about their instrument injuries. The importance of always being honest and upfront with your patients.Links Mentioned in Today's Episode:Dr. Ben Hechler on LinkedIn — https://www.linkedin.com/in/ben-hechler/ Moana 2 — https://www.imdb.com/title/tt13622970/ Wicked — https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1262426/ Hamilton — https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8503618/ The Music Man — https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0293437/ Bonhoeffer — https://www.imdb.com/title/tt26237514/ Supercommunicators — https://www.amazon.com/Supercommunicators-Unlock-Secret-Language-Connection/dp/0593243919 Jingle All The Way — https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0116705/ Good Burger — https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119215/ Everyday Oral Surgery Website — https://www.everydayoralsurgery.com/ Everyday Oral Surgery on Instagram — https://www.instagram.com/everydayoralsurgery/ Everyday Oral Surgery on Facebook — https://www.facebook.com/EverydayOralSurgery/Dr. Grant Stucki Email — grantstucki@gmail.comDr. Grant Stucki Phone — 720-441-6059

Not Today Jenn is finally Whamageddon'd by Eddie in the most devious way possible. The Grinch is a Christmas Classic, yes, the Jim Carrey one. You know what else is a great Christmas movie? You have to listen to the show to fins out. How important is "shared life experience" in a realtionship? The movie big was kinda gross. Finally, Eddie and the Wolf Pee meet. Also, Florida Man Friday!

Merry Christmas to everyone except Booster! Instead of watching some Killer Santa movie, we're tackling an actual family-friendly holiday flick starring the King of the Action Stars, Arnold Schwarzenneger. After ratcheting up action classic after action classic, Ah-nold decided to take it easy and do a Christmas movie: Jingle All The Way.While it raked in cash at the box office, the vast majority of critics put this movie on their naughty list. Does this movie represent the peak of consumerism and over-saturated movie stars, or is it a misunderstood holiday staple that stars some of comedies' finest talent from the '90s?
Arnold Schwarzenegger as a Christmas dad? Dom Bettinelli, Thomas Salerno, and Angela Sealana unwrap the chaos, comedy, and heartfelt themes. From hero archetypes to fatherhood and redemption, they reveal what makes this 90s classic a seasonal favorite. The post The Secrets of Jingle All the Way appeared first on StarQuest Media.

and some friendly rivalry for Louise in Mansfield and Jonathon in Chesterfield.
In 1996, mild mannered mattress salesman Howard Langston must get a specific Xmas present for his son Jamie. Of course, the toy is sold out and hilarity and hijinks ensue as Howard goes on a chaotic journey throughout the Twin Cities in Minnesota. 1996's Jingle All the Way stars Arnold Schwarzenegger as a detached father and husband who constantly disappoints his wife and son. This week, Rob, Kurt and Dave will go over this Christmas “classic” and see if the laughs and sight gags still hold up almost 30 years later. Will this workaholic dad and husband save the day and realize what's most important? Or, will he actually learn nothing, be rewarded for being a terrible person and continue to live his crazy life? We'll look at that plus the theme of capitalism and commercialism at Christmas all wrapped up in a shiny holiday package. Turbo Man may be the real winner, but we're left wondering why no one called CPS! Jingle All the Way (1996) Directed By: Brian Levant Starring: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sinbad, Phil Hartman, some other ho ho ho'ers I don't think he needed money, but Arnold put out some real stinkers in the late 90's. I think things were really shitshitsville after True Lies, but even the period between Termintator 2 and True Lies were some low times. In that "after True Lies" time frame came "Jingle All the Way", where Arnold is a shit dad that promised that brat from The Phantom Menace a Turboman figure, so he has to fight Sinbad to get it. IMDB has this to say about it: "A father vows to get his son a Turbo Man action figure for Christmas. However, every store is sold out, and he must travel all over town and compete with everybody else in order to find one." We Also Talked About: Mystic River (Amazon) Dune (Amazon) Dune: Part Two (Amazon) The Cop from the Wire The Prestige (Amazon) Deadpool and Wolverine (Amazon) Saturday Night (Amazon) Return of the Living Dead 4 - Necropolis (TubiTv) Like what you hear here? JJ, Mattson and Alec dive into a critical discussion of the 1996 holiday film "Jingle All the Way," highlighting its shortcomings and the reasons why it has garnered a negative reception. The hosts express their disdain for the movie, with one even giving it a score of 0.5, citing its over-the-top performances and lack of a compelling message about Christmas. The conversation shifts to the failed attempts at humor and the film's inability to deliver meaningful life lessons, contrasting it with more cherished holiday classics. Ultimately, the hosts share their mutual agreement on the film's poor quality, making for a lively and entertaining critique filled with personal anecdotes and shared frustrations.Support us:https://www.patreon.com/whatsourverdictEmail us: hosts@whatsourverdict.comFollow us:Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/whatsourverdictTwitter: @whatsourverdictInstagram: @whatsourverdictYouTube: https://youtube.com/channel/UC-K_E-ofs3b85BnoU4R6liAVisit us:www.whatsourverdict.com

They discuss director's cuts, the dangers of consumerism, and Jingle All the Way. Listen to more TFS Commentaries: TalkFilmSociety.com/TFSCommentaries
