This week Mark and Allen break down the Episode where we first hear a reference to Gryzzle! With the Pawnee-Eagleton merger forcing many cuts, including Pawnee Central High's prom, the Parks Department decides to throw prom for them, obviously on a very limited budget. Leslie meets with the prom committee, including Tom, Ben, Donna, and several high school students, with Leslie particularly impressed with a young lady named Allison Gliffert, who has many impressive Knope-like qualities (and binders). She reminds Leslie of herself, and the two get along great ... in fact, Leslie plans to offer Allison a summer internship with the Parks Department. When Ron finds out about this, we learn that Ron ALSO knows Allison and thinks a lot of her, bristles at the thought of Allison working for the government for free, and coaxes her to instead take a paying job working for his friend at the sawmill. Their clashing ideologies lead Leslie and Ron to butt heads as they try to win Allison over. This persists through both the pre-prom setup and the prom, getting more intense as time goes by, until Allison freaks out and runs away. Meanwhile, during the prom planning, Leslie assigns music to Ben and Tom. As expected, the two have very different tastes, styles, and schools of thought regarding music selection. Not only that, but Tom clearly looks at Ben with disdain, seeing him as an embarassing, out-of-touch old man. At the prom, Tom takes over and plays what he feels are cool, popular "bangers", convinced that everyone will love it. However, he is eventually told by students that they aren't really into his music choices. Tom takes this hard, concerned that he no longer knows what's cool. Finally, excited about the upcoming prom at Pawnee Central High, Andy happily asks April to go with him to prom. Due to her overt hatred for dancing, young people, fun (and apparently punch), April is NOT pleased about this ... but she loves Andy, he finally wins her over, and she reluctantly agrees to go. However, in typical April style, she dresses in all black, remains snarky, and seems to put very little effort into enjoying herself at the prom. She sees Andy cheerful, happy, getting along with everyone, and having a great time ... while she just wants to go home. This all makes her wonder ... how can she love him when she hates everything he loves? As always, we tackle the tough questions, such as ... As Leslie and Ron clash, can one of their ideologies prevail? Can Ben and Tom ever agree on what to play? Will April stay at the prom? What is the "Leslie Knope 10-Point Insanity Scale"? Is there anything Ben can do to make Tom feel better? Is there anyone that can give April some comfort and advice? Who is ... DJ Robo Drop? Who will the prom king and queen be? Leslie enlists the help of her boyfriend PO Sanderson to tail Pikitis to make sure he doesn't vandalize the Statue of Mayor Percy once again. Meanwhile, Ann reminds the Parks Dept. about her Halloween party and is disappointed to find out that in spite of her efforts to not invite Tom, Jerry has spilled the beans and Tom will attend. Ann's party is off to a boring and awkward start until Tom arrives dressed as T-pain and turns the living room into a dance floor. A possible spark between Ron and Wendy is kindled when Wendy tells Ron her Green Card marriage could soon come to an end. Meanwhile, Leslie and PO Sanderson's tailing of Pikitis turns up nothing and the two decide to go to Ann's Halloween party. However, while stopping by Leslie's office to pick up her Halloween costume, the two discover that the Parks Dept. has been TP'ed and vandalized, with the coup de grace being a peach pit left atop a pile of whip cream on Leslie's desk.Despite the fact they've watched Pikitis all night, Leslie is sure Pikitis is the perpetrator. Leslie convinces PO Sanderson to bring in Greg for questioning and after getting no where with him, Leslie decides to have Andy take a crack at him. Andy goes in hot with the FBI persona Burt Macklin, but Pikitis is so mean to him, Andy ends up crying. The scene ends with Pikitis' mom showing up and threatening to sue Leslie, PO Sanderson, and the FBI for holding a minor against his will. Andy helps Leslie clean up the Parks Dept. offices and after a few beers, the two decide to TP Greg Pikitis' house.  PO Sanderson shows up saying he's been called and an unfamiliar woman opens the front door and points to Leslie saying she's the reason the police were called. Leslie fears she has the wrong house until it's revealed that Greg goes on Craigslist to hire fake moms to get him out of trouble and the woman standing in front of them is actually Greg's real mom. When Leslie realizes Greg's not at home, she rushes to the statue of Mayor Percy and catches Pikitis in the act of vandalizing the statue.The episode ends with Leslie wondering how Greg could have gotten into the Parks Dept. to vandalize it and a flashback showing Greg pretending to be a janitor, hiding in the dumpster until everyone had left, and vandalizing the office. 

As Mark and Allen make elaborate plans for the Live from Pawnee 1-year Anniversary celebration in November, they've left the projector room in Constantine's hands and he is loading up the reel for S02E07 - Greg Pikitis! We are heading back October 29, 2009 and the new episodes of Community, Parks and Recreation, The Office, and 30 Rock that aired that night.With Halloween just two days away; I talk about four Halloween specials, I talk about Community S1E07 - "Introduction to Statistics", Parks & Recreation S2E07 - "Greg Pikitis", The Office S6E08 - "Koi Pond", and 30 Rock S4E03 - "Stone Mountain".  There's A LOT of tangents in here.  Thanks in advance for tolerating the extra long run-time.I finally talk about one of 2009's biggest news stories - Michael Jackson's death.  Other less than fun topics include Louis CK's guest appearances on Parks and the new deleted cold open to Koi Pond.  But; there's plenty of fun stuff too; like numerous references to the Dark Knight, some insights into how boring my life was in 2009, and brief reminder of how not-famous Jimmy Fallon was. Definitely had some complex topics that warranted a little bit extra runtime.  This will not be the norm; and I'll be going back to a short run times going forwardTOO LATE TO EDIT NOTE: At around 1:03:45; I foolishly ask if this is the first time Kenneth's hometown has been mentioned on screen.  I - way too late to try to edit out this mistake - have just re-watched "Blind Date", the THIRD episode of the SERIES, and Jack mentions it several times while playing poker against Kenneth.  Forgive me, I'm working hard on being better and will try to avoid such embarrassment in the future.
