Episode 110 of the Everyman Movie Review! I, like everyone, loved Napoleon Dynamite. I saw the title of this week's movie (When Jeff Tried to Save the World) and thought it was an end of the world movie; they're in pretty heavy rotation for me right now. But I was pleasantly surprised to find it wasn't exactly what I was expected. Then, I realized it was starring Jon Heder, Maya Erskine, Anna Konkle, Jim O'Heir, and Steve Berg - seemed like a can't miss! Was I disappointed? Check out the episode to find out! Spoiler Alert at 8:38 Back to the Show at 17:20 When Jeff Tried to Save the World on streaming. The Everyman Movie Review is a different kind of movie commentary - it's not about the art of movie-making, but rather about the enjoyment and entertainment of the film itself. It's not about me or my opinion, it's about the movie - does it deliver on what it promises? New episodes on Thursdays - subscribe to be notified when new episodes are available. They say never meet your heroes. Thank goodness Emmy Award Winning Jim O'Heir isn't AJ's hero! (Full disclosure, this blurb is being written in the third person by AJ so it's kind of surreal. Also, no need to take any of this seriously.) Actually, AJ considers Jim, who played Jerry Gergich on Parks and Rec, a good friend who he feels honored to joke around with. If only Jim would relax that darn restraining order on him! But really though, Jim is a prince of a man. Which is a coincidence because he has a Prince Albert! He forced AJ to look at it during the interview. Because Jim doesn't wear pants during interviews. Look it up. Jim is promoting an exciting new movie, Middle Man! It's out in theaters June 9th 2017! Catch it around the country in limited release! Which is rare for Jim. He usually demands full release. All joking aside, Jim is an absolutely wonderful guy; nice, caring and funny. You won't find a more genuine dude. And he genuinely dislikes AJ! It's kind of amazing we got this interview at all. Jim is fantastic. Enjoy! Steve Cooper talk with actor Jim O'Heir. Jim is best known for his role as Associate Director Jerry Gergich in NBC's critically acclaimed comedy Parks and Recreation. A Chicago native, Jim has worked successfully in every medium as a well-known character actor. His ability to move easily between drama and comedy in role after role is a testament to his skill and adeptness. Upon moving to Los Angeles in the late 90's, he got rave reviews on stage in the cult classic Stumpy's Gang which garnered him a Dramalogue Best Actor Award. With his love for theater, he always made sure he continued his passion while on camera as well. But his work in TV and film kept him busy, as he's worked in over 60 different series, movies of the week and feature films. Having been cast in numerous pilots, he also worked as a regular character on two Comedy Central series, Strip Mall and Knee High P.I. Other memorable portrayals were in Raising the Bar, Boston Legal, Without a Trace, Cold Case and Friends.
To commemorate the season finale of “Parks and Recreation,” “ADD Comedy with Dave Razowsky and Ian Foley” is re-releasing our interview with Jim O’Heir.
