She coached college athletes for over 13 years, first at Cornell University and most recently at Seattle University where she was the assistant soccer coach and high-performance manager for the women's soccer team. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA-CSCS) and holds several other fitness credentials. Beyond Training: Ignited Womxn Summit Alison’s passion for movement and strength training reaches beyond our impact on individual lives to a commitment to cultural change. Through years of working with women, she’s seen firsthand, the ways that women are limited and torn down by fitness industry narratives that would squeeze them into a one-size-fits-all box. In 2015 she founded the Ignited Womxn Summit, an annual wellness and leadership event designed for learning through an inclusive lens what wellness and leadership can mean so we can actively dismantle limiting narratives and systems that no longer serve us. https://allisontenneyfitness.com/ Are you enjoying the podcast?
