For faith to become real, it must be put into practice. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson invites us to stop being passive observers of Christianity, and instead take the attitude of field hands, ready to serve the Lord with our entire selves, wherever He leads. Pastor Allen explains why we all need Jesus, how to begin a relationship with Him, and how to lead others into God's Kingdom. He also provides valuable insight on communion, offering ways to make it a more frequent and impactful part of our lives. Exactly ten episodes ago, Kirk and Lindsey did a fine dining food auction to see who could create the best seven-course meal. It…did not go well. Lindsey was perfectly okay with never doing another one again. Kirk? Not so much. So, much like Hollywood giving a sequel to a movie no one asked for, they are doing it again! Will they get this fine dining food auction right this time? (Doubtful…very doubtful.) This may be the most personal encounter of all. Jesus was anointed by a sinful woman in the house of a Pharisee. Jesus let her touch him. Even though she was sinful. And Jesus saw her. Really saw her. And made sure the real sinner, Simon saw...

God wants something for you, not from you. Grace is countercultural. You are invited to leave checklist-Christianity behind and be embraced by God's grace. God wants a relationship with you; he wants your heart and not your works.
In this encounter, Jesus connects with 2 females whose stories are linked by the timeframe of 12 years. Yet for one, the 12 years is a very short time and for the other, it is a very long time. As Jesus set off to heal a sick (soon dead) girl…he...

Ever ask someone a question that you didn't think was persona, and they replied, "that's kinda personal, isn't it?". Salvation and Christianity IS personal because it is life-changing and soul saving. Don't be afraid to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, make it personal to you and make it personal to someone else. DISCLAIMER - We try our best, with the greatest of intentions, to provide accurate information regarding our Christianity, our relationship with God and our knowledge of the Bible. We never express to be infallible or to not make mistakes. As such, you may find something that is inaccurate - we try our best to correct our mistakes. Another words, we are human. Please try to understand that. Have a blessed day.
In today's podcast, Suanne will share her own personal emotional response to the events of the past year. There is no question that the world has shared a collective trauma. One year after the media took hold of our minds, we see clearly the attempts made by select groups to leverage existential fear and paranoia in order to craft an artificial reality with the intention of controlling people. While every single human being has been affected by these events, we're not experiencing these conditions in exactly the same way, each of us is responding based on our unique histories, programmed beliefs, strengths, and vulnerabilities. Past traumas have had an especially powerful effect on reactions to this pandemic. Millions of people with unhealed trauma had severe reactions to the actions of those claiming to have our best interests in mind. What does a trauma response look like? How can we recognize that we may be having a reactivation of past trauma and what can we do about it? How do we move forward when, collectively, we have been the victim of trauma? This dark time is, in truth, an opportunity to heal. Today, we look at one step in the direction of healing.
Developing a personal relationship with Christ is frequently talked about and yet rarely concretized. The readings for the Fifth Sunday of Easter provide a clear pathway, especially the images of vine and branches. Fr. Philip and Donna talk about their personal reflections and invite the listener into a deeper conversation about living a more personal faith in an impersonal world.

It's hard not to take it personally when someone criticises your thing - your product, your service, your company, your presentation, etc. Even though they want to stress that it's not personal, it's just their professional opinion...it is personal. To you. You're invested in that thing. But here's why you really should not take it personally... They can't possibly know all of the factors and conditions and considerations that got you to this point. They will never have the whole story. So, if they don't have the full picture, how can they possibly provide a complete critique? They can't. So, by all means take note of it, but don't take it personally. Interestingly, the same applies even to a personal criticism too. #criticism #keepitprofessional #selfawareness

Our special guest today is born and raised in the Greater Seattle area. She went to the University of Washington with a degree in Business. She did the "try somewhere new" after college and went to San Diego. After a year of being in a corporate job she hated, she said it's time to do what I've wanted to do since a kid and got her real estate license. For most of her childhood, her mother was a single mom, and not only that, she was an immigrant from Moscow, Russia. She saw her struggle, she saw her work hard, and she told herself she would never rely on anyone else or let her down. As the only child of a single mother, she moved around a lot. Though moving gave her some fantastic opportunities—and a keen understanding of Seattle and the Eastside—she also sometimes felt that she missed out on the experience of having a true sense of Home. Whether buying for the first time or moving for the umpteenth time, she serves as a guide and partner to find that true Home and help her clients move into the next phase of their real estate journey. Real estate is significant to her and speaks her drive to work with clients to find a place to call home. Now, she not only has a passion for finding people their Home but being a helpful and trustworthy advisor to make their lives happier & easier. Her clients turn to friends. When not in the office, she can be found walking the Kirkland streets with her French Bulldog Fonzi; keeping active through yoga, snowboarding, and ice skating; or trying out the latest local restaurant to pop up. She is an active member of the community through her involvement with the Junior League of Seattle, a collective of women committed to volunteerism and effective action and leadership in their communities. Welcome to our featured Guest, Veronica Morss. This is an episode that is surely worth exploring every minute of their discussion. Message by Pastor Mark Earle. Our relationship with God is not about the "abc's" and "123's" of it all and making sure that all of our boxes are checked. It is a personal thing that is not about following all the rules just right in order to win God's approval. When we put those things aside and choose to have a true and personal relationship with the Lord we naturally choose good, do right, and live up to the calling on our lives.
