The Boob Tubers are still enjoying their time with Nickelodeon's '90s game show for kids, the immortal Legends of the Hidden Temple. This time around, they're discussing season three episode 14, "The Mystical Spellbook of the Imperial Wizard." Look, it's not necessarily a cool, Gandalf-type wizard the show offers up, but game show host Kirk Fogg's passive aggressive needling of 12-year-olds more than makes up for the lack of purple hats. Will it be Spencer or Van who climbs the spider web faster to retrieve all of the plastic bats? Will Olmec consume Brian and take over hosting duties before episode's end? You'd better listen and find out

It was Indiana Jones who first introduced us to the idea of running for your life through an ancient temple in the middle of the jungle. But it was Nickelodeon who made that scenario a reality for nearly all the kids of the 90s. In today's episode, we're talking about what many consider to be the greatest game show of all time for kids (sorry Double Dare). Today, we're talking about Legends of the Hidden Temple with special guest...Kirk Fogg. You know, the host! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/heyyouguys/message

This week's episode of the Geek Fruit Podcast has us throwback to the times of adventure shows. No, not reality shows, not survivor, not idol, just plain good old fashioned adventure game shows, where we can all relax and watch the nameless contestants fail spectacularly, in contests of physical and mental challenge which we all thought we could best- sitting in the comfort of our homes of course. That's right! We are talking about two classic shows which all us MILLENIALS (Yes we didn't know that we were) remember fondly from the nineties, namely Channel 4's The Crystal Maze, and Nickolodean's The Legend of the Hidden Temple. Both are making a somewhat return if not in the original format, and in this episode we dissect the shows structure and the reason for their untimely demise. We discuss hosts Richard O' Brian and Kirk Fogg and their respective futures, as well as the reason why they resonated so well with the people who watched them at the time.
