This week, we're chatting to Katie Marsh. Katie has published 5 romantic fiction novels, ‘Unbreak your Heart', ‘The Rest of Me', ‘The Beautiful Life', ‘A Life Without You' and ‘My Everything', and has now completely switched genre. You can find out why in the podcast. Her new novel is 'How Not To Murder Your Ex', and tells the story of Clio, who opens the door to find her hated ex Gary dead on the lawn in front of her. It's no accident, and the eyes of blame quickly fall on her.We discuss why she holds herself back for 2 months before starting to write, also why she strives to be distraction free above all things, and why the genre switch really needs to work out for her.DISCLAIMER - sorry if your name is Gary.Support the show at patreon.com/writersroutineGet 10% off Plottr at go.plottr.com/routine@writerspodwritersroutine.com Hosted on Acast. Paulette Triplett is multiple award-winning Gospel/Christian Recording Artist, songwriter, musician, psalmist, worship Leader, and music instructor. Following in her mother's footsteps, Paulette was a child prodigy. She began singing at age 3, composing songs at age 10, anointed by God to play the organ at 15 years old, and began assisting her mother training choirs at 15 as well. To date, she catalogs 2000 plus songs, to which she adds to monthly. Starting in 1989 through the early 90's, Paulette received national attention as a recording artist as she recorded as lead singer with then, Pastor Alford and the Progressive Radio Choir of Maywood, Il. The songs she is known for singing lead on are "HOLD ON AND GO ON" (1989) and "BREAK FORTH INTO PRAISE". Both on SPARROW RECORDS. This Door, which was given through the favor of God manifested, led to other doors being opened for her to record as lead singer. She wrote songs for two Chicago Community Choirs. CARL MABINS AND CHANGED MINISTRIES (SO GLAD TO BE HERE" and "LIFE WITHOUT YOU") on PEARL RECORDS. The other choir is NU CITY MASS CHOIR (INDIE LABEL) "HE'S A RIGHT NOW GOD". Pastor Alford also had Paulette write three songs for his "SEVEN LAST WORDS of CHRIST" Gospel Musical Play and The Gospel Musical Play called "TROUBLE AT THE GATE" by KIMMCO PRODUCTIONS. In between recording, touring and writing for her own CD's and others, she was Minister of Music at various denominations in the Chicago and Detroit areas. In 2002, Paulette lost her grandmother, mother, and babysitter within months of one another. This shifted Paulette's music ministry, spirituality and natural life. God gave her a new line of songs that speak his heart to the hurting, depressed and people struggling. She calls these songs "PAULETTE'S SINGING LETTERS". Paulette recently received her 28th music award , via internet, for Psalmist of the Year 2021, from the "EXTRAORDINARY PEOPLE AWARD". Paulette is known as a standout singer because of her unique style of singing and the anointing she carries. She told God that she did want to be an entertainer but sing for souls to get set free and healed. Every Sunday with purpose she engages people in praise on their way to Church and does a Facebook Live show called "MY SUNDAY MORNING FLOW". Because she has been through so many life storms and wants to share with people the tools God has given her to come through victorious, she has another Facebook Live show on Thursdays called, PAULETTE'S MUSIC THERAPY MOMENTS". She loves God and is so grateful for all he's done and given her. On her REVERBNATION she has over 500,000 song plays. Her #1 song on her REVERBNATION page is "WHEN GOD MADE WOMAN HE MADE A GOOD THING". Her songs can be found on all digital Platforms. When it comes to Paulette, it's not about the music but God in the music. Today's Writing into the Day podcast will be featuring a poem by Nikki Wilfong, “Life Without You.” Have your pen or pencil out and be ready to write! As I read this poem, I want you to think about whether there is anyone in your life that you feel you couldn't live without. A friend, a family member, a sibling, a mentor, or simply someone special to you. This author uses similes, a comparison using like or as, to describe the concept of living without their special someone. Try to imagine how these similes make you feel. Are they effective? Are they painting a picture in your mind about how important this person is to the speaker? --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/writingintotheday/support

BSC lost a longtime friend when soul music great Otis Clay passed away on January 8th. Otis began his career in Mississippi performing in gospel groups, but fate brought him to Memphis where he rose to prominence behind R&B hits such as "Trying to Live my Life Without You" and "All Because of Your Love," each of those songs birthed through the production genius of Memphis' Willie Mitchell and the Hi Records Rhythm Section. This week's program was originally scheduled to air in February, but with Clay's passing, we felt an urgency to release it now in his memory. Otis Clay was a great friend to
