Sermon on Acts 10:34-43 and Mark 16:1-8. This is the second sermon in our Easter sermon series called How to Be a Christian. Most of this nine-week sermon series will focus on John's first epistle John's first letter to Christians is a sort of primer on how to live as Christians in the world. The primary idea is love empowered by the mission and ministry of the crucified and risen Christ. As we celebrate Jesus' resurrection and look forward to the gift of God's Holy Spirit, John will be our guide for living as Christians in a world that is rarely simple. Each week, we'll look at a practice that helps us offer God's love to a hungry world. In this sermon, we explore how because Jesus has overcome death, we can fearlessly live in love.

The Power of Love as Experienced by the One Being Loved // 1 Corinthians 13 Thank you for being patient with me. It gives me a sense of connection with you. And how I so appreciate your kindness, particularly when I don't deserve it. It lavishes me with great joy. You never show envy toward those who have more. Grace is your teacher pushing me to maturity. You never exalt yourself through pride and a boastful spirit. This allows me to experience great freedom in your presence. I'm immersed in a harsh world, but your lack of rudeness resurrects my soul. I am forced to take inventory of my own life. You avoid self-seeking, but set a higher standard with all humility of mind, by thinking more highly of others than you do yourself. Such virtue affords me great comfort. I have done many foolish and upsetting things, but you never display anger. This encourages me to be myself and learn from your gentle spirit. By never keeping a record of wrongs, I feel no judgment and can be at peace, which provides such comfort. You avoid, at all costs, delighting in evil, which ministers to my soul and lifts my spirit daily. You always protect me from myself and the harmful influences that surround me. How uplifting this is when I feel dejected and alone. You are so trusting by providing a safe haven in which to lay my burdens, deepest thoughts, and secrets at your feet. Thank you for giving me such hope, so as to maintain an eternal perspective. Your perseverance keeps me focused on that which is important. To lLove sSupremely. Love is God's idea. He created it. And, God wants us to excel at it. In fact, Jesus said the two greatest commandments are to love God and love others. Life all comes down to how we love. Therefore, having a great marriage starts today. It starts with putting God first in our own heart, putting God first in who we date and ultimately putting God first in our marriage. Love is a commitment, not just a feeling. Feelings come, and feelings go, but love is a commitment we make. If love were just a feeling, then it wouldn't be a commandment. Are you living in love? Are you dying to self and living for Jesus in all your relationships? Let's learn to live in love today.

Coming in all the way from Dubai, I welcome the beautiful Theresa Du Toit The Love Queen herself! While growing up love was never a strong presence in her world or home. Through her college years she started to teach herself how to love herself and all others. This was great timing as she married her sweetheart and had many happy years with him. She was then left alone after his long drawn out passing. Again Theresa found the ways to find love in everything even after this heartache. A few year later she found the second love of her life, and remarried. Now after only a few short and loving years her second husband passed in a fast heart attach. She would not be called The Love Queen if she was not able to find the love within these big grieving stages. Theresa became a Wedding Celebrant and now helps couples to have the love between them shin out around them.Let's Be Well Together!Host: Karla Turnerwww.KarlaTurner.caIG: @theansweriselephant & @karlaturner.holisticwellnessGuest: Theresa Du Toittheresadweddingcelebrant.comIG:  @theresadcelebrantSponsored By:Support the show

In this episode, we talk about aligning with your true self and not just pursuing external goals. We often set goals for future events or achievements – it could be a fitness goal for an upcoming reunion or wanting to look a certain way for an event. When we focus solely on achieving these external goals, we often disconnect from our true selves during the process. In the fitness world, I've seen this scenario play out countless times. People join a gym, commit to a strict program to lose weight or get in shape for an event, and they're successful in achieving their goals. But they often find themselves miserable during the process. They're unhappy with the actions they need to take – the strict diet and exercise routine. They get results, but they can't wait to go back to their old habits once the event is over. This pattern creates a yo-yo effect – they chase results with discomfort and pain, then revert to their old selves. It's a cycle of dissatisfaction, and it stems from doing something for an external goal, rather than being true to oneself in the present. Don't do things for external outcomes. Do things to become the person you want to be. If a goal or event inspires you, that's fine – but think about the daily actions and thoughts that person would have. If they align with who you are now and who you want to be, then love the process, embrace the actions, and celebrate your current state of actions, not just the future outcome. The real celebration should be about the thoughts and actions that align with your purpose, not about hitting a specific milestone. Fulfillment comes from aligning your thoughts and actions with your true self, not from external achievements, wealth, or impressing others. It's about loving the person you are today, and if you want to change, do it for today, not for a distant future. Remember, you cannot feel lost when you are in your guidance system every day. Following your true self daily, honoring your desires, and acting in alignment with your purpose are the keys to fulfillment. You are an emitter of energy, and your internal state radiates to the world. Be authentic, be true to yourself, and share your positive energy with the world. This entire experience is an expansion of love and light. Light is simply the warmth of love, and when you expand love, it needs to reach the dark corners where it's lacking. We all have our unique pathways, our own darkness, pain, and trauma to confront. We're here to expand love in those areas, to be the heroes of our own stories. Let this be a reminder not to do things solely for external gains but to embark on an internal journey of self-discovery and growth. Be the guiding light that you're meant to be, and remember, the true service to others is your authentic self. - Henry -------------------------------- Request Coaching Info -------------------------------- Social Media Say hi on TikTok Say Hi on Instagram Facebook Group! -------------------------------- Email Me henry@vibeabundant.com -------------------------------- Email List --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/positive-mindset-podcast/support

In this episode, we dive into a journey of self-discovery as we explore how to tap into your higher self. We frequently overlook our energetic self in favor of our physical one, but the energetic self holds the key to our limitless potential. Your soul and energy are timeless and infinite. They've always existed and always will because they're an integral part of the universe, an extension of the divine. When we identify with our soul and spirit, we understand our immense power. We recognize that the physical world shouldn't hold us back; we're merely visitors in it. Our past does not confine us, our heritage, our background, or our physical limitations. We are energetic beings having a human experience. Your energy is equal in value to everyone else's. It's the highest value you possess. When you embrace your energetic self, you realize you are equal to everyone; there's no one below or above you. If someone is achieving something, having something, or experiencing something, you have the same potential because your soul and energy are equally valuable and powerful. You just need to tap into this reservoir of potential. Choose to hold yourself to the high standard of your frequency, your soul, your true essence. Remember that you are here with a purpose, a calling that only you can fulfill. If you fully believe and serve that calling, you become invincible. You cease to be bound by the rules of the physical world or societal norms. Instead, you hold yourself accountable to the highest energy, where anything is possible. However, it's crucial to align your calling with love and upliftment. Your calling should always be a force for good, creating positive and loving impacts on others. This is your guiding system. Your spirit and soul will always steer you toward love, healing, and growth. You're not the job, the status, the money, or the possessions. Those are just aspects of your experience, not the core of your being. You can create your experience continually. Most of us get stuck in a cycle of recreating what we understand, often rooted in our past experiences. This is why generational traumas and issues persist – we keep identifying with the physical and forget the power within us. This cycle can lead to repeated lifetimes with the same lessons. It's like watching someone date the same type of relationship or pursue the same job with the same outcomes. You see the pattern externally but miss the internal pattern where you keep measuring yourself based on the physical. Your physical body belongs to the Earth; it's temporary. One day, it will be forgotten. However, your soul, energy, and frequency endure, whether here on Earth or in the vast universe. Your soul knows that there's more to life. You have to remember that and tap into it. Your true calling is meant to elevate you, aligning you with the highest frequency of love, God, or whatever resonates with you. This highest frequency calls you back but can't bring you there directly because of the law of attraction. Like attracts like, and to be in the highest frequency, you must operate at that frequency. You're a creator of energy, and your vibration or frequency determines what you create. So, your calling is meant to help you raise your frequency to the highest levels. This journey is about self-discovery, self-empowerment, and becoming the best version of yourself. - Henry -------------------------------- Request Coaching Info -------------------------------- Social Media Say hi on TikTok Say Hi on Instagram Facebook Group! -------------------------------- Email Me henry@vibeabundant.com -------------------------------- Email List --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/positive-mindset-podcast/support
