We kinda just bullshit and recap our weeks until we make a startling discovery about Zac's sexual history and then that dominates the rest of the episode. Sorry I was speaking so close into the mic. Still working out the kinks. Frankie is going on tour with one of his bands, @yutzi_band, and Caleb is opening for Mike Lebovitz in PA on 5/13. Zac continues to be an all around solid dude and blue collar laborer. Our ultimate goal is to get Marilyn on the cast and just do a figurative deep dive on that air strip.

Welcome to a new podcast featuring conversations between a comedian (Mike Lebovitz) and a philosopher (Duncan Gale) about matters both high and low brow. In this inaugural episode we learn a bit about our two heroes – Duncan has been obsessively studying German and reading Plato in an attempt to avoid exposure as a fraud, and Mike is on the verge of Christmas-induced bankruptcy. After these introductory remarks, the conversation quickly shifts to politics and the most burning question of the day – what the hell is going on in our country right now?! Mike and Duncan try to sort out the online debates about the January 6th attack on the Capitol building, and they reminisce about a time in American political debate when there were two intellectually legitimate points of view. Other topics are also addressed, such as the de-platforming of Trump on social media and what the ultimate legacy of his presidency will be, as well as some of the most common logical fallacies that come up in political arguments. This all probably sounds pretty serious, but there's a lot of laughs as well, and that's the basic mission statement of this podcast – funny conversations about serious topics, and serious conversations about funny topics.
Comedian/Actor Mike Lebovitz returns to talk about our Michael Jackson backlash on Twitter, Siege at the Capitol, Twitter Banning Trump, 1984, Auditioning, and we play a tough game of FMK! See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Mike began his comedy career at the age of six with clowning classes at the local JCC. He's been delighting crowds with his intoxicating brand of wild-eyed humor ever since. Mike’s irreverent bar-stool philosophy careens from topic to topic like a runaway freight train with some dubious couplings. Audiences have described the experience as “spontaneous,” “joyful’ and “slightly terrifying.” Mike cut his teeth in Chicago (not as painful as it sounds), where he was a regular at Zanies Comedy Club, The Laugh Factory and Comedy Bar Chicago. He co-founded the popular showcase, Comedians You Should Know, which he brought to New York City in 2016. It has since become the weekly go-to spot to see comedy legends and up-and-comers rock the same mic. Internationally, Mike has offended nostrils in Montreal as a "New Face" of the 2013 Just For Laughs, and he won The Montreux Comedy Festival competition in Switzerland. He’s been featured on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, Comedy Central, and HBO’s The Deuce. Look for his debut album, LEBO, in early 2019 on Stand Up Records.

Comedian Mike Lebovitz landed Montreal Just For Laughs New Faces and Last Comic Standing appearances from his hometown of Chicago, Illinois. But, after tasting those successes, he set his sights on New York City in the hopes of becoming "the funniest person on the planet." Many comedians start in smaller markets and find themselves asking, "When should I move to New York or L.A.? Should I even move at all?" Mike shares the reasons behind his move as well as some beliefs regarding what a comedian's job is truly about. My good friend (and, I swear to Jah, one of the greatest stand up comedians ever) Mike Lebovitz joins me as we listen to the Silver Jews American Water LP. Mike's got great taste, so I was pleased as punch to get him on the show to BS, as we do. We stay on topic and talk 90s indie nuggets. I then proceed to play some assorted 90s hits at the end to fill things out. Last, but certainly now least, the show closes with the newest Rocket From The Crypt song, which I don't think is available on the internet at the time of the original air date. Go listen to that sucker in all it's glory cause RFTC fahking rules. Plug in, then when you're done, take the plug out. Just be safe when dealing with plugging.
