It's part one with Netflix's Fortune Feimster so get ready to laugh, cry, and clutch your coffee cups because the iconic comic joins us in the Beverly Hills boutique for a hilariously heartfelt time. From sipping “Armenian cocaine” (ahem, coffee) to unpacking childhood traumas, closet contents, and even literal chandeliers, this is a warm hug wrapped in flannel and served with a side of sass. We kick things off with a classic mix-up: Fortune calls her coffee “Turkish,” and Pol's Armenian soul is (jokingly) scandalized. That leads us into a conversation about identity, culture, and the funny politics of naming things—like calling Turkey “Former Armenia.” You'll laugh, you'll learn, you'll wonder why Google hasn't updated its maps yet. Fortune shares how she's been making us laugh since 2005—nearly 20 years of comedy gold. She dives into her early influences, growing up in North Carolina as a self-proclaimed tomboy in a world of debutante balls, parasols, and frilly dresses. With a girly-girl mom and two older brothers, Fortune navigated expectations while finding her voice—eventually turning those awkward moments into stand-up magic. Spoiler: her childhood closet was *not* runway ready. We trace her comedy roots from a $50 gig at a lesbian bar (by the stripper pole, naturally) to her breakout on *Last Comic Standing* and four-year writing stint on *Chelsea Lately*. Her Netflix specials followed, catapulting her from comedy clubs to global fame—and yes, the stripper pole is long behind her. As the episode unfolds, we peel back even more layers of Fortune's journey. We learn that her birth name is Emily, but “Fortune”—her great-grandmother's maiden name—was her grandmother's gift and the name that truly resonated with her. The name change becomes a powerful tribute to the woman who gave her unconditional love and confidence. Then things get even more *undressed*. Pol' performs a signature cup reading for Fortune and delivers a spiritually spooky revelation: a small antique chandelier, packed away in her garage, is the key to finally grounding herself in her new home. Turns out, the chandelier once belonged to her beloved grandmother—proof that sometimes, emotional light fixtures hold the answers. We wrap with reflections on unexpected life pivots, family reconciliation, and even a surprise moment where Fortune sings *“Ironic”* live on stage with none other than Alanis Morissette. (Yes, really.) From red carpets with Anna Nicole Smith to voicing cartoon characters and starring in hit series, Fortune's done it all—on her own terms and with a heart full of humor. This is *Fortune Feimster*, fully undressed: the stand-up star, the Southern girl with a flannel soul, and the chandelier keeper ready to shine. This is another Hurrdat Media Production. Alonzo Bodden is one of the hardest-working and funniest working standup comics on the touring circuit today. He won Season 3 of NBC's Last Comic Standing; he has four standup specials so far; he's a regular panelist on NPR's Wait, Wait… Don't Tell Me!; he's played a bouncer or a security guard in countless movies and TV shows; and he even voiced monsters on the Power Rangers. He's been around. But before he had anything to do with show business, Alonzo was an aircraft mechanic who got a job working for Lockheed Martin on the F-117 Nighthawk stealth bomber – one of the most advanced top secret aircraft in the world – when he graduated from Aviation High School in New York. At 18, he moved to Los Angeles, started making a lot of money, found himself in the throes of addiction, and wound up in jail. The sound of the cell door slamming shut was his turning point. In this episode, Alonzo shares details about his New York upbringing, his battle with addiction, his path to sobriety (36 years ago!), and how it all led him to find his calling: comedy. He also shares the one hilarious joke he told at the 1997 Montreal Just for Laughs festival that immediately transformed him from a guy who did standup comedy to fully realized comic. You won't want to miss it. Wherever you live, Alonzo will be in a town near you sooner or later and seeing him live should be high on your priority list. Find him at www.alonzobodden.com. This surge more than doubled previous first-day turnouts in 2020 and 2022. Despite some initial technical issues with ballot encoders, voting has proceeded smoothly across 12 stations, with generally short wait times. Early voting continues through November 1, ahead of Election Day on November 5. STORY 3: Gwen Walz Campaigns in Cobb Minnesota First Lady Gwen Walz visited Cobb County, Georgia, to rally Democratic voters and support down-ballot candidates, including the Cobb County Board of Education. Her visit followed a rally by former President Donald Trump in the area. Walz criticized Trump's stance on reproductive rights and encouraged attendees to mobilize voters. Her visit coincided with record-breaking early voter turnout in Georgia, highlighting the urgency of the upcoming election. We have opportunities for sponsors to get great engagement on these shows. Despite recent gains, both districts have seen a decline since 2021. Georgia's average ACT score slightly decreased, but the state still surpassed national averages in all subjects. STORY 5: New Video Released in Unsolved Cherokee House Party Shooting Case The Cherokee Sheriff's Office released new video footage to help solve the unsolved case of 14-year-old Landon Andrews, who was killed at a house party in 2021. The video shows over 100 kids fleeing the scene, and authorities are seeking those with firsthand knowledge of the incident. Despite processing extensive evidence and witness statements, the shooter remains unidentified. A related fight earlier that night in Kennesaw may be connected. It's a lively discussion that covers a range of topics including societal issues such as: a Detroit judge handcuffing a teenager on a field trip, North Carolina's Mark Robinson, New York City's Mayor Eric Adams, and the scandal of P. Diddy. Mia Jackson is a bonafide Georgia peach (that's Georgian for “native”). In 2017, she was selected as a New Face by the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival and Atlanta's Creative Loafing named her the Critic's Choice Best Stand-Up in the city. She has toured nationally with Amy Schumer and is a featured comic at festivals and clubs across the country. Her first stand up special aired in October 2018 as part of Unprotected Sets on EPIX. Mia has appeared on NickMom's Night Out, Viceland, Comedy Central's This Week at the Comedy Cellar and was a semi-finalist on Season 9 of NBC's Last Comic Standing. Her Comedy Central half hour special debuted in November 2019. Akeem Woods is the funny little brother you always (never) wanted — his comedy style will have you on the edge of your seat reeling from laughter! No topic is safe from discussion, whether it be the KKK or the hardships of growing up poor. Akeem is a regular at the Comedy Cellar in NYC, was a semi-finalist on Stand Up NBC, has been seen on Kevin Hart's LOL Network, and just recently made his television debut on The Late Late Show with James Corden! Currently, you can find Akeem working on a new show for BET and at clubs and colleges all over the country. Always hosted by Marina Franklin - One Hour Comedy Special: Single Black Female ( Amazon Prime, CW Network), TBS's The Last O.G, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, Hysterical on FX, The Movie Trainwreck, Louie Season V, The Jim Gaffigan Show, Conan O'Brien, Stephen Colbert, HBO's Crashing, and The Breaks with Michelle Wolf

A comedian and magician who headlined Cirque du Soleil's Mad Apple, has been featured on America's Got Talent, Last Comic Standing, Conan, Sherri, Comedy Central's This Week at the Comedy Cellar and National Geographic Channel's Brain Games. Harrison was a senior producer for Primetime: Would You Fall for That? and story producer for VH1's This is HOT 97. He was also the head writer for Tu Nite con Lorenzo Parro, the first late night show on NBCU/Telemundo, a staff writer for Tha God's Honest Truth with Charlamagne Tha God on Comedy Central, and a long-time freelance writer for MAD Magazine. He is a recipient of the Andy Kaufman Award (2010) for creativity and originality in comedy, the Shorty Award in collaboration with Comedy Central and the New York Comedy Festival for "Best Emerging Comic" (2011), and the Magners Comic Stand-Off (2011). But the award Harrison is the most proud of is Tannen's Magic Camp "Camper of the Year," which means two things: (1) Harrison went to Magic Camp and (2) Harrison was a virgin until college. He co-founded the Harvard College Stand-Up Comic Society, the first organization at Harvard dedicated to the performance and appreciation of stand-up comedy, and one still popular on campus today.
