Moda este considerată una dintre cele mai poluante industrii din lume, avînd un impact semnificativ asupra mediului înconjurător în mai multe moduri, pe care de abia acum începem să le descoperim. Nu e vorba doar de consumul de resurse și de emisiile de carbon pe care le implică prelucrarea textilelor, ci și de poluarea chimică a apei și a aerului, de deșeurile care rezultă în urma procesului industrial, de impactul culturilor asupra biodiversității. Ce e de făcut ? Am întrebat-o pe Mariana Stan, coordonatoarea pentru România a mișcării „Fashion Revolution”. Mariana Stan: „Ca să putem prelungi durata de viaţă a unui produs, trebuie să ştim să-l întreţinem. Apoi, dacă el nu ne mai reprezintă, trebuie să ştim cum îl putem da către alţi beneficiari care s-ar putea bucura de el. Noi, la Fashion Revolution, am făcut campanii de informare a consumatorului, care au vizat două etape importante: o etapă pre-consum, de educare a nevoilor, în care le ofeream cumpărătorilor tips and tricks despre cum ar trebui să-şi educe aceste nevoi atunci cînd merg la cumpărături, ce ar trebui să facă să scape de shopping-ul compulsiv, pentru că avem extrem de multe oferte, avem extrem de multe branduri, avem extrem de multe mall-uri, şi trebuie să ştim cum să facem să scăpăm de acest comportament compulsiv, astfel încît atunci cînd intrăm în magazin, să alegem produsul care să ne şi reprezinte, să aibă şi o durată de viaţă cît mai bună. Şi am iniţiat şi o campanie de informare pe comportamentul post-consum, adică pe tot ce înseamnă partea de sortare şi reciclare ulterioară, cînd acele haine nu mai sînt reprezentative pentru noi.”Există şi producţie responsabilă, ce face industria textilă?Mariana Stan: „Industria textilă prosperă, ca de obicei, acesta e şi scopul său, la fel ca al oricărei alte industrii. Dar producătorii trebuie să înceapă să respecte nişte reguli care vor fi impuse. Sînt nişte normative europene care vin peste producători. Am descoperit-o cu vreo doi ani în urmă tot prin prisma unui interviu, făcut pentru celebra platformă cavaleria.ro :)). Dincolo de faptul că rezonez cu ea în muuulte lucruri, ca stil încă nu:)), mi-am dat seama că atunci când va veni momentul acestui interviu, va fi greu să rămân la o discuție de jumătate de oră. Am vorbit o oră și jumătate și am reușit cu greu să restrâng discuția la 45 de minute. Și da, este unul dintre oamenii aceea care îmi intră mie la suflet. Este cool. De fapt, ce zic eu aici. Este prea cool pentru țărișoara asta. I-ar sta bine în cu totul altă parte, însă cum patria mamă a ținut-o aici, trebuie să profităm de ea. Naturalețea, sinceritatea și prospețimea aerului pe care îl transmite este ceva ce rar mai ai norocul să întâlnești într-o societate intoxicată de cantitate și nu de calitate. Iar faptul că o caută femeile pentru a le învăța cum să se îmbrace, mă rog, să își schimbe stilul vestimentar:), mi se pare că o face magică. Pentru că dincolo de ușurința cu care combină și accesorizează zeci, sute de haine, are răbdarea și darul de a înțelege ce și cum vrea o femeie să se transforme în ceva mai bun. Pentru că până la urmă vorbim de o schimbare radicală, iar asta nu se face doar din vârful degetelor. Este Fashion PR, consultant de stil, blogger. Școlită pe la Londra și Paris, cu apariții pe siteuri mari precum: Vogue Marea Britanie, Vogue Germania, Vogue Spania, The Guardian, cu propuneri de colaborări internaționale, participări la Săptămâna Modei de la New York, Londra și Paris, show-uri și multe alte proiecte ce au ajutat-o să se perfecționeze, să se descopere și să își dea seama că ‘intersectarea’ cu moda nu a fost pură întâmplare. Ci pentru asta este făcută.

A studiat scenografie. Cel mai probabil din dragoste pentru imagine. Nu a practicat niciodată, însă spune că a ajutat-o foarte mult în formarea ei mai târziu. Acum se dedică 100% fotografiei. Și bine face. Să stai la povești cu un fotograf de reportaj care a intrat în culisele „Săptămâna Modei” de la Paris, Milano, New York pentru publicații precum Style.com, Industry, Elle Collection UK, Vogue Paris, Interview sau Last Magazine, pot să spun că este o mândrie. Și o fericire maximă că în sfârșit am cunoscut-o. I-am urmărit pictorialele în revista The One mulți ani la rând, iar acum nu pierd nici o fotografie de pe blogul personal și Instagram. A ajuns aici cu multă muncă, răbdare și perseverență. Și noroc. Așa cum spune ea: a fost în locul potrivit la momentul potrivit. Eu aș adăuga că a ajutat-o și relaxarea, doza sănătoasă de bun simț și faptul că nu s-a luat prea tare în serios și astfel nu și-a pierdut capul în fața acestui imens succes.

Today's EpisodeGaming news aside, the Doom closed beta was last weekend and I had fun trying it out. It was great to get back to the old arena shooter feeling. It has been sorely missed. There is some aspect of the game id needs to fix, but I do not think it is game breaking. The Division is another story. The developers need a better fix for the game than what they have been purposing. The main problem is the fact that they keep calling it an RPG. It has some RPG elements, but there's really only one stat that really matters, DPS. Roles do not matter in The Division. It is wasted potential. The Division is running into the same problems Destiny has faced. I do not think they will dig themselves out of it either. The PC community is harsh on boring, bland games.
