Sie wird zweifache Mutter und absolviert eine Ausbildung zur Fachkosmetikerin. Sie arbeitet in einem Zimmer in ihrer Wohnung. Mit ihrem dritten Ehemann zieht sie nach Gummersbach. Für diesen Umzug packt sie einen LKW. Ihr Gepäck füllt 7,5 Tonnen. In dem neuen Haus eröffnet sie eine neue Praxis in einer kleinen Scheune, die zu ihrem Haus gehört. In Köln bildet sie sich zur psychologischen Beraterin weiter.Monika beschreibt ihr Familienleben als „außergewöhnlich“, doch die Ehe gerät ins Wanken. Sie beschließt, sich von ihm zu trennen. Er erkrankt schwer, verstirbt und hinterlässt ihr zwei Wohnungen. Sie will seine Firma retten, doch familiäre Umstände verhindern das. Monika ist nicht mehr in der Lage, zu arbeiten und hat keine andere Wahl als in eine der Wohnungen nach Berlin zu ziehen.Wir sprechen über Neuanfänge und über ihr Schreiben. Bereits mit 12 Jahren beginnt sie zu schreiben. Nu-i știu de ieri, de azi, ci parcă ne cunoaștem de o viață. A fost conexiune instant, încă de la prima întâlnire, cu Andreea și Babis, oameni care iubesc viața și sunt îndrăgostiți de ceea ce creează. Din livada proprie din Grecia și din mâinile lor iese un ulei de măsline cum rar găsești. Nu pe rafturile supermarketurilor, ci în poveștile care transformă fiecare masă într-o vacanță pe țărmurile Greciei. Povestea Zaliari înseamnă muncă adevărată, nopți nedormite și pasiune dusă la extrem, pentru că măslinele nu țin cont de programul nimănui. Am demontat mituri despre uleiul de măsline și am descoperit câtă iubire există atât între ei, cât și în fiecare sticlă. O poveste care se simte. Zaliari.

Andreea Răsuceanu a publicat recent romanul „Hemiptera”, la Editura Polirom. Un roman în care se împletesc două planuri narative: unul contemporan și celălalt de la începutul secolului al XIX-lea, de pe vremea domniei lui Caragea, marcată de ciuma care a ucis mare parte din populația Bucureștiului. Cele două epoci sînt legate prin poveștile personajelor, prin frica de moarte și sentimentul pregnant al sfîrșitului dar și prin poveștile locului: cartierul Balta Albă de azi. În locul care azi se cheamă așa a fost o groapă comună imensă unde au fost aruncate de-a valma cadavrele celor morți de ciumă. Peste ele se turna var și, cînd ploua mult, varul și apa formau o peliculă albă. Așa a ajuns cartierul de azi să se numească Balta Albă. Protagoniștii din prezent, naratoarea și iubitul ei, locuiesc în acest cartier și acolo au locuit și în copilărie. Iar poveștile din trecut au în prim-plan cîteva figuri din epoca lui Caragea, pe domnitor însuși, dar și o femeie doctoră, o medica, Venețiana, și o femeie cioclu. Am vorbit cu Andreea Răsuceanu despre noul ei roman, despre personajele și lumile în care trăiesc și despre titlul misterios al cărții.Andreea Răsuceanu: „Trecutul nu e mort, ci e insinuat și continuă să trăiască în prezent, în forme mult mai spectaculoase și mai vizibile decît ne-am gîndi, poate. (...) Am pornit de la ideea Apocalipsei, care e o obsesie contemporană, și de la revelația că, tot așteptînd un moment, un eveniment, de fapt ratăm chiar sensurile acestui sfîrșit continuu. Ăsta e un sens major al cărții. Al doilea ar fi că întotdeauna s-a trăit cu un maximum de implicare și de atenție ideea sfîrșitului, cu atît mai mult în secolul al XIX-lea, pe care mi l-am ales eu, în perioada de după ciuma lui Caragea, cînd evident că sentimentul sfîrșitului era ceva inevitabil, îl trăiai în mod cotidian, avînd în vedere că murise o parte atît de mare din populația Bucureștiului și nu numai. Apoi oamenii îl trăiau într-o perioadă atît de instabilă, cum a fost cea a regimurilor fanariote. Și atunci mi-am dat seama că de fapt sfîrșitul lumii este o stare continuă a ei și nu un moment. Și m-am gîndit cum aș putea să spun cel mai bine lucrul ăsta.”Ți-ai propus din start să scrii despre trecut, să faci incursiuni în memorie, în memoria ta, în memoria colectivă?Andreea Răsuceanu: „E clar că asta e una dintre obsesiile și temele mele predilecte dar nu, nu a fost ceva programatic, nu m-am gîndit la carte ca la o reconstituire nici a istoriei mele personale, nici a istoriei cartierului neapărat. Am vrut să scriu despre altceva. Am vrut să fac și o poveste de dragoste care se petrece în contextul nevoii de recuperare a trecutului. Dar cred că mesajul de profunzime, mesajul care aș vrea să ajungă la cititor este legat de obsesia recuperării trecutului dar și de întrebarea cît și ce anume poți recupera din trecut, ce merită păstrat și de ce anume merită să te eliberezi?”Cicadele, aceste insecte din ordinul Hemiptera, se aud pe parcursul întregii povești. Aceste insecte trăiesc ani de zile sub pămînt iar cînd ies și cîntă, supraviețuiesc la suprafață doar cîteva săptămîni. Cum ai ajuns să folosești acest simbol puternic, să împînzești cartea de cicade?Andreea Răsuceanu: „Am ajuns prin Platon, prin Phaidros și prin povestea cicadelor. Legenda spune că atunci cînd s-au născut muzele, unii oameni au continuat să cînte și să danseze pînă la epuizare, uitînd să se mai hrănească și au murit pur și simplu în beția asta a artei. Și-atunci muzele au ales să-i transforme în cicade, adică niște insecte care trăiesc aproape fără hrană. De fapt, nu e chiar așa. Trăiesc din seva copacilor. Mi-a plăcut foarte mult ideea asta.
