This time on The Children's Hour, we learn strategies to keep our cool with Michelle Renee Pelletier, who teaches kids how to meditate using guided imagery.  We'll try Michelle's meditation exercise, and reflect on how it makes us feel. Then we'll meet Evan, a 10 year old who was taught mindfulness at school with Families 4 Peace's instructor, Scott Cameron. In this excerpt from Peace Talks Radio, we hear how, when and why Evan uses mindfulness at school, and instructor Scott explains how the benefits of mindfulness extend beyond the classroom. Welcome back to this special year-end Inside Music Row.  We’ve been revisiting some of our favorite segments from 2009.  This next attraction is situated in an ideal spot downtown.  Surrounded by the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Nashville Arena, the Schermerhorn Symphony Center and the Hilton Suites…you’re never too far away to check out The Nashville Music Garden when you’re in town.  We made it out to see Barbara Mandrell and others dedicate the new park.

The Nashville Music Garden took root in the Hall of Fame Park, located at the corner of Fourth Avenue and Demonbreun downtown.  On hand for the public dedication were hosts Barbara Mandrell and Lynn Anderson, as well as emcee Ralph Emery and countless others, where dozens of celebrities have specially created hybrid roses named after them or their songs.
