#062 SHE'S BACK! I have had so many requests to have Susan Yara back on the podcast, so I am beyond excited to say that she will be joining me on this week's episode. Susan Yara is a beauty industry veteran, the founder of Naturium, & a wealth of knowledge when it comes to skin/beauty! Susan opens up about her personal experiences with fillers, lasers, and facials, sharing what she's loved, regretted, and how motherhood has shifted her perspective on beauty. I also recorded an episode for Susan's new show My Life Online all about my approach to beauty and aesthetics after becoming a mom - so I'll link that below for anyone who wants to watch or listen!
It's a rare occasion – we have a returning guest, and it's a good one! Susan Yara joins us for the second time (first time in person!) and we cover a lot of ground: her new podcast My Life Online with Susan Yara, how her life has changed since e.l.f. acquired Naturium in 2023, and her new single status. Plus, she gives her $0.02 on several beauty headlines, from tablet beauty to Pat McGrath's product strategy and the 40+ makeup movement. She also shares more about Naturium's latest launch: a rich moisturizer that rivals more expensive options. Moving Millennials | Oxygen For A Generation Of Game-Changers
Subscribe on iTunes, Soundcloud, Stitcher Radio. It’s been nearly a year since I’ve produced and published a podcast. A LOT has happened since the last episode (including the birth of my son, Brady). Thank you for waiting patiently (I know you’ve done nothing except refresh the Moving Millennials podcast feed on your iPhone since last August). In today’s episode I share what I’ve been up to for the past year, and talk a little bit about what Moving Millennials will look like moving forward. You’ll also notice that I tried something completely new (and scary) for this episode. I recorded the episode WHILE I was on Facebook Live. This means the show is interactive and is a hybrid of a live talk radio show and a pre-recorded podcast. Would LOVE your feedback on how this works (or doesn’t). Send an email over to dave@movingmillennials.com. The question of the episode was asked by Desiree Diaz. She wanted to know: "How do you personally push through and stay engaged or find motivation when things get crowded/busy? Where have you found your mojo to bounce back?" This was a GREAT question and I did my best to give a direct answer. LOTS of cool resources and links came out during the show today. Here they are in no particular order: 1) Learn about Josh Shipp - Josh is a Teen Behaviour Expert, and the founder of Youth Speaker University - an online program that teaches people how to build a business impacting youth inside the speaking industry. He’s absolutely brilliant. Josh is also the founder of Top Youth Speakers - a small (and mighty) crew of professionals in the youth speaking industry, endorsed and mentored by Josh. At the end of 2015, Blake and I joined the Top Youth Speakers team with our My Life Online business. It’s been an incredible journey so far, and we feel like we’re JUST scratching the surface of what’s possible. 2) At the end of may, I had the absolute honour of opening Peta Kelly’s event - “The New Way LIVE” - in Scottsdale, AZ. Peta has become one of my greatest mentors in business and in life. If you’re not following her online, I suggest you start. Begin with her Facebook page. The event featured Peta and 3 other phenomenal keynote speakers. Joel Brown, Alexi Panos, and Preston Smiles. Follow them too. EXCEPTIONAL millennials who I promise to have on the show in the coming months. I believe that does it for the links and resources. To download the Moving Millennials Manifesto and ebook, visit the site and subscribe using your email address. If you’re not in it already, you’ll want to join our Facebook Group. This is becoming a powerful community of like-minded young people who are collaborating to raise the collective consciousness on the planet. Join the crew ASAP.
