SHOW NOTES (www.mikejamesreid.com) So welcome to this experiment I’m calling the Dichotomy Podcast. I created this show to help both you and I explore that dichotomies that exist in our lives. The best way I can define a ‘dichotomy’, is that feeling of being pulled in two opposing directions over something, maybe a life decision, opposing beliefs on how you want to live your life, whether that’s marriage, career, money, or health. In the course of running the Dent business accelerators and I think just based on my personality - I’ve always been fascinated to sit down with my friends (typically entrepreneurs) and dig into their business and life philosophy. What were their struggles, their inner conflicts and how have they navigated those to ultimately lead a more fulfilling and content life. That’s the central premise of what I’m curious to explore in this show. For my guests, I hope to expose their own dichotomies in a way that gives them deeper insights into their own motivations, desires and drivers - so they too can lead a richer and more extraordinary life. I hope it will be a journey of self-awareness and self-discovery for everyone involved. Time will tell! In this explainer episode, I talk more about the overarching dichotomy that I’ve contemplated in my own life, as well as setting some expectations for listeners of the podcast. Thanks for listening, enjoy!
