EXIT WITHOUT EXITING: An interview with Entrepreneur and Coach Jason Duncan What a treat it was to interview The Real Jason Duncan on our show. We discussed a topic that is near and dear to my heart as it is focused not only on creating financial freedom but doing so without sacrificing the things in life that matter most. In this episode you will learn a new concept of Exiting without Exiting. Meaning leaving the grind of your business as an entrepreneur while still earning money from it. Here's a little info on this amazing human that the Dragon bumped into at a conference in Colorado followed by the creation of a great friendship. Jason Duncan began in youth ministry and quickly became a senior pastor at a congregation in Tennessee. To supplement his meager ministry salary, he sold life & health insurance to small business owners. He grew tired and returned to college in 2005, got a Master's in education and entered the classroom as an 8th grade American history teacher in 2007. He quickly became recognized as one of the best teachers in the region. BOOM “Great Recession” and his teaching contract was not renewed leading him to search for the next chapter. He founded Energy Lighting Services (“ELS”, energylightingservices.com), which soon became the top LED retrofitting company in North America. His skilsl as a salesperson, pastor and teacher combined to make me a very effective “accidental” entrepreneur. His leadership as the founder of ELS led to recognition in Inc. magazine two times as one of the fastest-growing privately held companies in America. ELS was also named as one of the top entrepreneurial companies in America by Entrepreneur magazine. They also won several Small Business of the Year Awards and a Best in Business award from the Nashville Business Journal. Over the years, he began leveraging his success as an entrepreneur and his unique background as a pastor and teacher to consult and coach other entrepreneurs and business owners to get to success more quickly. In 2020, he founded the coaching and consulting firm, TRJD Enterprises, which specializes in teaching entrepreneurs how to exit their businesses without selling them to a third party. Then in 2021 he founded Results University, which delivers world-class online courses for entrepreneurs who want to start, scale, and exit businesses successfully. Jason is also the host of the nationally syndicated podcast, The Root of All Success. It is a show where I interview the top successful entrepreneurs from across the world about how they got to success. Essentially, the podcast is about how entrepreneurs grow incredibly successful companies. Currently, Jason is the owner of five different companies and he's always looking for new businesses in which to invest. His primary interest is investing in people because he truly believes that the only thing that moves from this world to the next is people. Jason always says, “If you want an investment that pays eternal dividends, invest in people.” To this end, he started a mentorship program called “PEAP”, which stands for Professional Entrepreneur Apprenticeship Program. PEAP is a competitive apprenticeship program for young men between ages 22-29 who want a world-class hands-on education in entrepreneurship from an award-winning entrepreneur. So what I am trying to say is that he's a Badass and you will love the episode. Love Dragon
Patch and Rich are back to basics, this is how the podcast started, Patch Rich and Mike talking about what annoys them, what they are watching on TV and anything else they fancy really. Big thanks to Andy from the Bang Bang Podcast for being this episodes 3rd Peap!
ABOUT THE REAL JASON DUNCANMy mission is to use my gifts of teaching and leadership to help others achieve the results they want out of life.I am the oldest son of two loving parents, Michael & Marsha Duncan. I went to school–all 13 years from Kindergarten to high school–in the small town of White House, Tennessee.I am married to Kristie Duncan, my high school sweetheart whom I met on a blind date when I was 16 years old. Kristie and I have a son and a daughter. My first career in ministry started right out of high school as a youth minister for my home congregation. I earned a Bachelor's degree in ministry from Southern Christian University (now Amridge University) in Montgomery, Alabama in 2001. From 1992 to 1998 I served as a youth minister to different churches around the southeastern United States. In 1999, I transitioned from youth ministry to preaching when I became the senior pastor at a local congregation in middle Tennessee. I spent the next seven years as a senior pastor of congregations in Tennessee and Nebraska. To supplement my meager ministry salary, I sold life & health insurance to small business owners.Growing tired of the ministry, I returned to college in 2005 and earned my Master's in education from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. I left vocational ministry in 2006 and entered the classroom as an 8th grade American history teacher in 2007. I spent the next four years as a schoolteacher, which became the love of my professional life. To me, there was nothing better than teaching. I quickly became recognized as one of the best teachers in my subject area in the entire county.Unfortunately, due to the Great Recession, my teaching contract for the 2011-12 school year was not renewed due to major budget cuts and a lack of tenure. It was then that I found myself searching for the next chapter of my life. That is when I founded Energy Lighting Services (“ELS”, energylightingservices.com), which soon became the top LED retrofitting company in North America. My skill as a salesperson coupled with my unique experience as a pastor and teacher combined to make me a very effective accidental entrepreneur.Since 2010, my leadership as the founder of ELS led to recognition in Inc. magazine two times as one of the fastest-growing privately held companies in America. ELS was also named as one of the top entrepreneurial companies in America by Entrepreneur magazine. We also won several Small Business of the Year Awards and a Best in Business award from the Nashville Business Journal. I was even recognized by the Tennessee Small Business Development Center as a “Rising Star” in 2014.Over the years, I began leveraging my success as an entrepreneur and my unique background as a pastor and teacher to consult and coach other entrepreneurs and business owners to get to success more quickly. In 2020, I founded the coaching and consulting firm, Results Through Integrity, which specializes in teaching entrepreneurs how to exit their businesses without selling them to a third party. How secure is your office Wi-Fi? Richard chats with Dr. Avril Salter about using enterprise security features in Wi-Fi. The conversation starts out focused on WPA2-Enterprise, using RADIUS servers and protocols like CHAP and PEAP. It may be more complicated to set up, but once running, you have far more control over who can be on your Wi-Fi. Avril talks about creating separate SSIDs for secure corporate devices, BYOD devices, a guest network, and a legacy network. Yeah, four SSIDs! Next up - WPA3, with even better default security features!

This week I talk to Taryn, an Air Force spouse, who embarked on what was supposed to be a one year MWDU stint that eventually turned into three years with a deployment thrown into the mix. Taryn talks about how she cope's with MWDU and two young kids, a new business that is helping other defence partners on their re-employment journey, PEAP funding and how she still finds small but important ways to make sure she is looking after herself and her mental health. PLEASE NOTE- Soon after recording this episode the PEAP funding was changed a little. You now have 24 months (from when you get your posting orders) to make use of it instead of 12 months. Jorgen Matsi on endine MMA profivõitleja ja lõpetanud Tartu Ülikooli magistriõppe psühholoogia erialal. Nägin teda esinemas filmi „Kaklusklubi“ avalikul linastusel, kus ta jagas mõtteid kõnealusest filmist ning vastas möllavate hormoonidega noormeeste küsimustele, nagu „Kas sa päriselt oled ka kellelegi tappa andnud!?“. Jorgen astus mu podcast'ist läbi ja kuulasin teda käsipõsakil.
Often enterprise administrators are tempted to terminate 911 calls internally at a designated extension. You may think you are doing the caller a favor, but in reality you may be delaying critical help.
