Tune in as Fake-Dating February advances forward with the third episode of the month, where Brett Salter (Irish Salt) rejoins 2CC for a breakdown of Love to Hate You, the 2023 Netflix K-drama that follows the chaos and romance between a misandrist lawyer and a misogynistic celebrity. The absolutely wacky comedy that this show is willing to dive into, being grateful that a certain subplot doesn't stretch on longer than it does, a recommendation for Flower of Evil with a caveat, and the plentiful drinking and Asian flushes that appear throughout Love to Hate You comprise a few of the talking points for this episode.Directed by Kim Jung-kwon, Love to Hate You stars Kim Ok-vin, Teo Yoo, Kim Ji-hoon, Go Won-hee, Lee Joo-bin, Kim Sung-ryung, Song Ji-woo, Han Seo-jun, Jeon Shin-hwan, Kim Ye-ryeong, and Choi Yoon-so.Spoilers start at 28:35Create your podcast today! #madeonzencastrHere's how you can learn more about Palestine and IsraelHere's how you can keep up-to-date on this genocideHere's how you can send eSIM cards to Palestinians in order to help them stay connected onlineGood Word:• Brett: Severance (Apple TV+)• Arthur: Satranic Panic, T Blockers, and Carnage for Christmas, all of which are Alice Maio Mackay moviesReach out at email2centscritic@yahoo.com if you want to recommend things to watch and read, share anecdotes, or just say hello!Be sure to subscribe, rate, and review on iTunes or any of your preferred podcasting platforms!Follow Arthur on Twitter, Goodpods, StoryGraph, Letterboxd, and TikTok: @arthur_ant18Follow the podcast on Twitter: @two_centscriticFollow the podcast on Instagram: @twocentscriticpodFollow Arthur on GoodreadsCheck out 2 Cents Critic Linktree

With Australia's commitment to end gender-based violence within a generation, yet concerning increases in sexual violence and domestic homicides, this timely discussion explores why traditional prevention strategies focused on changing social norms and attitudes have fallen short.Key points discussed include:The limitations of measuring prevention success through attitude surveys rather than actual reductions in violenceWhy structural interventions and accountability are essential alongside education effortsThe need to focus resources on high-risk scenarios and populations, particularly traumatized youthHow systems often fail to provide practical help when survivors, especially young people, disclose abuseThe importance of shifting from "calling out" to "calling in" approaches when addressing harmful behaviorsWhy prevention efforts must acknowledge the reality that most people have been impacted by violence rather than assuming a "clean slate"Related episodes:Season 2 Episode 12: How Coercive Control Harms Child Safety & Wellbeing: An Interview With Jess HillAdditional Resources:See What You Made Me Do: Power, Control and Domestic Abuse by Jess HillChildlight Research Centre - University of New South WalesJoin us in-person or online 18-20 March 2025 for the Safe & Together Institute Coercive Control and Children Conference. Daniel Salter worked for over 20 years with the US Air Force before joining the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) in 1968 due to his expertise in electronic communications and tracking UFO activity. He spent over ten years working with the NRO, where he was part of a team of covert operatives whose task was to persuade witnesses not to talk about their UFO-related experiences. After completing his NRO career, Salter decided to go public in 1997 with what he had learned. One of his initial disclosure activities was communicating with others to discuss events at a Deep Underground Military Base near the town of Dulce, New Mexico, where a hierarchy of negative extraterrestrials ran operations that included human captives. The subsequent Dulce Files were eventually found by Salter's two grandchildren, Daniel and Derek, who were investigating his personal files which they inherited after his death. The Dulce files reveal Salter participated in discussions about different extraterrestrial organizations competing with one another in influencing humanity's evolution and controlling the Inner Earth. The Dulce files also reveal that American Presidents since Grover Cleveland (1895-1899 & 1893-97), have visited Telos, the capital city of an Inner Earth Civilization deep under Mt Shasta to conduct secret negotiations. The files also reveal the nefarious role played by high level Freemasons who have surpassed the 33rd degree initiation level known to the general public. Freemasons who have achieved 33+ degree levels interact with extraterrestrials and the Inner Earth. 33+ degree freemasons have also played a significant role in fomenting civil and international conflict both above and under the planet's surface, and reached agreements with the Draco Reptilian Empire to escape predicted cataclysmic surface events. While the Dulce Files were written 26 years ago, their relevance to events unfolding today cannot be discounted due to many similarities in conditions and many of the same forces maneuvering behind the scenes. Daniel Salter's career in the USAF and NRO provides a rare bird's-eye view of extraterrestrial organizations, Inner Earth civilizations, and secret societies that are essential to learn about today as similar conditions can be found all over the planet. When there are too many tabs or applications opened, a computer tends to hang. Just like computers, your brain experiences the same thing. Cognitive overload or info paralysis happens when you take in too much information than your brain can handle. In today's media circus, your brain works double-time to separate what's important from unimportant, the facts from fiction. Fake news runs rampant in social media, especially now that the elections are dwindling. It would help to be extra vigilant about the information you see and believe in. You need to be aware of suspicious accounts spreading misinformation and trolling. You should seek facts from reliable sources only.  We are all in luck because today, we have Chuck Salter, the President and CEO at The News Literacy Project as our special guest for The Ripple Effect Podcast! The News Literacy Project or NLP is a non-profit organization founded in 2008 that aims to teach media literacy to the next generation, so they can go out into the world as well-informed, critical thinkers. The NLP not only helps students but also educators.  With years of experience working in the education sector and fighting for a future founded on facts, Chuck Salter touched on various important topics about disinformation and news literacy. Growing up in a family with a military background, his parents instilled the sense of being of service to people. Chuck took those values as he grew up and made it his life's mission to combat the spread of fake and biased information. A special thanks to Lorenza Muñoz for this Ripple! Today I'm sitting down with mindset coach and hypnotherapist, Paul Salter, to get his unique insights on using hypnosis to elevate your golf game. Paul defines hypnosis as “a state of deep relaxation with the intention to make positive change”. A skilled hypnotherapist can help anyone silence their inner critic, and directly connect with their subconscious mind to unlearn limiting beliefs and. This, in turn, allows new, more productive beliefs to take their place. Asked how golfers can harness the power of hypnosis to take their game to the next level, Paul reminds us that “there is no shortage of mental and emotional hazards on the course.” Coming up against those hazards triggers negative self-talk, which naturally nurtures self-destructive behaviors that ruin your chances at a great, fun round. To golfers struggling with emotional control, Paul demonstrates how hypnosis can significantly boost performance and align you with your best self. Paul goes on to explain how to cultivate a winning mindset, create confidence on demand, enhance emotional resiliency, and effortlessly find flow and fun out on the course. As a bonus, we also touch on finding success both as a golfer and as a parent–at the same time! About Paul SalterHaving personally coached over 2,500 clients, Paul Salter is an expert in helping you get out of your own way by stopping self-sabotage at the source. With an extensive background working with elite Collegiate, Professional, and Olympic athletes as a Sports Dietitian, his unique coaching system leverages 15 years of coaching with an emphasis on hypnosis, subconscious reprogramming, mindset shift training, and proven strategies to help you unstuck yourself. SHAD WHITE'S WAR ON DEI, SID SALTER & MISSISSIPPI STATE CONTINUES

The Clay Edwards Show

Shad's response Last week, Mississippi State's spokesman Sid Salter went on statewide news and implied I was lying about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs on campuses. These crazy DEI programs push ideas like “whiteness” is evil, and they waste money on big salaries and grants for nonsense like equity-based preschool yoga. Salter said that “is not what we're doing at Mississippi State University” and “I don't think it's what we're doing at the other universities in Mississippi.” This isn't some slip of the tongue for him; it's the second time this month he's said something like this to statewide media. So let's talk about why Sid is lying, with evidence taken straight from Mississippi State's website. The truth is Mississippi State, like many universities, is shot through with crazy racial ideology. Examples: - The university issued a press release praising itself for “whiteness” research and its deep exploration of “white privilege.” Sid knows this because he was Chief Communications Officer for the university at the time. - The university also promoted a “Whiteness Seminar” during this period. Sid Salter, what is “whiteness”? We all know it would be obviously racist to praise someone if they did research claiming “blackness” was bad. So why is “whiteness” research any different? Mississippi taxpayers, who are footing the bill for this stuff, want to know. - Entire departments at State have released written statements professing loyalty to “antiracist” ideology, and if you haven't heard of “antiracism,” the main idea behind it is the notion that “the only remedy to past discrimination is present discrimination.” It's nuts. Sid Salter, why do whole university departments promote this brand of discrimination? How does this move Mississippi's economy forward? Taxpayers want our universities to relentlessly focus on training the next generation of engineers, architects, and scientists—to be the engine that will power Mississippi's economy. Wasting money on this garbage I describe above distracts from that. - These examples are just the tip of the iceberg at Mississippi State. There are hundreds of pages of research into topics like “systemic racism,” “colorblind racism” (whatever that means), “white privilege,” etc. This “whiteness” trash is weird and divides us as a state rather than brings us together. Universities need to only spend our taxpayer money on the things that make common sense.

And your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt. You shall raise up the foundations of many generations. You shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of streets to dwell in. Repair and reparations Brian Stevenson: “Real reparations would mean to repair what was actually broken.” “We want to see justice. We want to see change. … Reconciliation and reparations were never supposed to be two opposite things.” Why the Old Testament prophetic book of Nehemiah is relevant to the church in this political moment: “I wanted to use a narrative in scripture that showed us how do you actually organize people. That it's not just enough to preach about it on Sundays, there's a way that we've got to bring a diverse coalition of people together and show them that we can rebuild what is broken around us.” “How do we retain our identity and our dignity?” How asking the right questions can generate empathy and motivate action Nehemiah's Prayer of Confession Honest confession, just telling the truth Brenda's son Omari's social post: “We are always left saddened but not shocked. This will happen again. Another black queen or king doing what should be considered a regular activity will be killed just because. Black people will express outrage while everyone else will continue on relatively unchanged. We'll exclaim, hashtag Black Lives Matter, and we will get countless comments about, What about all lives matter? I'm looking at you, white evangelical churches. The shock will wear off for the rest of the world and we'll be left to rebuild again by ourselves. This cycle is so ingrained in the Black American narrative that we have learned to quickly spring into actionable next steps because we've done this before and we will do it again. We've had no choice but to normalize the trauma and carry on. So to those who wonder, I have no hope that I or my future children will ever live in a world that is quote unquote equal or totally safe or fair, even though I will always fight for it. Sadly for me and so many others, I lost that dream as a little boy.” Our own humanity is being diminished in every act of injustice Is systemic change possible? Individualistic vs communal lenses The need to get proximate to injustice in order to become a repairer When does proximity help? What causes proximity to stick and create change? Empowerment and mutual investment The work of justice is ultimately God's work Fannie Lou Hamer's activism James Baldwin: “I can't believe what you say, because I see what you do.” Doing what we say “We might not change everything, but in our little corner of the world, we can make a difference in that spot and people get to see a glimpse of the kingdom. And that's life changing.” About Brenda Salter McNeil Brenda Salter McNeil is a teacher, preacher, and leader in the international movement for peace and reconciliation.
