Hey everyone, welcome to episode 174 of the Antler Up Podcast! On this week's episode I was joined by PA native and the 2022 Bowhunting League PA Big Buck winner Taylor Fleischer. In this specific episode Taylor shares some of the little things that have helped him be successful the last few years, but specifically last year on the buck he was after for the last 3 years. Taylor shares the little things that can be overlooked by hunters and how to improve on what you're already doing. Kicking this episode off we dive into Taylors hunting roots from when he was a young teenager. This was a great kickoff discussion because at a young age Taylor got the bowhunting bug and from there has worked endlessly to continue his pursuit to perfection. This aspect I believe most hunters want to accomplish and achieve but know the process is a long fun and frustrating journey. We discussed how some hunting experiences shaped who he is as a hunter now. The lessons learned from his past season Pope & Young buck that he plans to build upon. Then we get into the nitty-gritty of the little things that have helped Taylor the last few seasons. From his organization of trail cam photos, reading/understanding deer movement and behavior. We wrap up our discussion talking about how he manages his property in central PA and the challenges he faces with hunting it and hunting where he currently resides. Check it out and let us know what you think! Enjoy this fun episode and see you next week! Thanks again for all the support and best of luck out there and Antler Up!Check out the Sportsmen's Empire Podcast Network for more relevant, outdoor content!

Hey everyone, welcome to episode 137 of the Antler Up Podcast! On this week's episode Dimitri and I were joined by Rick Brule from Vapor Trail and Stokerized! Rick has been with Vapor Trail for over 10 years and he shares a little bit about himself and their companies. Rick talks about his upcoming Boundary Waters hunt and all the details regarding what he will be going after and when! We asked Ricke about his whitetail hunting situation for this upcoming season and it was really interesting to hear the way Rick hunts the metro Minnesota areas. Right after that Rick dives into two different Pope and Young buck stories! Then we wrap things up by talking about some whitetail calling strategies and experiences. To start things off in the podcast Rick briefly introduces who he is and what his role is with Vapor Trail and Stokerized. Vapor Trail has been extremely busy this past year not only with products but with building their own pro shop in Minnesota! Rick shares some information regarding their shop and what people in the area can expect when they go there! From actually selling products, hanging out, 40 yard range and Techno Hunt! Rick follows this up by talking about his upcoming season which includes a 2 week canoe trip in the Boundary Waters! This is where he drew a limited bear tag but plans to fish, hunt whitetails and birds! Really interesting to hear how he plans on attacking this trip and makes you want to go for the ride! Following this conversation up we dove right into his two Pope & Young whitetail buck stories. Both stories happen during the middle of November and hearing how he was able to overcome a bad shot on the biggest buck yet to date. HUNTROVERSY!!! If you haven't heard lately, Pope & Young, as well as Boone & Crockett are no longer allowing entries when using the aid of a cellular trail camera. However, we think that there are far superior ways to aid in the taking of big game animals, one of them being a crossbow. We give our opinions about why we think crossbows are just as deadly as cell cameras, yet are still allowed for entries in the Boone and Crockett record system. Why is that??? Listen to hear out thoughts! If you would like to watch some of our hunts on Youtube, check them out at the following link: Youtube Channel.
