Podcast guest 515 is author, Al Graham from Liverpool England. In this video we talked about his angel encounter, how his brother-in-law the last Jim Morrison haunts him, the Beatles and more. Alan was born in Liverpool, England and grew up with the members of the Beatles before they became world famous. As fate would have it, he ended up marrying the DOORS lead singer Jim Morrison's sister Ann and became intimate friends with the Morrison Family. Alan has written three books, I Remember Jim Morrison Too, Before the Beatles Were Famous and Poet Rain. He is a living Forrest Gump who has brushed elbows with celebrities for over fifty years. Alan's life has taken a very spiritual turn. He has been visited by angels and guided by them giving him a zest for life you will find in very few other people. The MINISTRY OF ROCK, headed by Rev. Graham, has been active in the Coronado-San Diego, California area for the past thirty years. The ministry is in year-round outreach to the working poor, mentoring, grief and crisis counseling, food distribution to the needy, a jobs program involving reclamation and repurposing of building materials, plus loss prevention services in the form of volunteer security and personal guards. The ministry is proactive when it comes to educating elderly victims of internet or telephone scams via “Worldwide Crime Watch,” a website watchdog group. Reverend Graham is aggressive when it comes to confronting and shutting down Puppy Mills and unscrupulous breeders. Graham is also the editor of the Coronado Clarion a news magazine which records Coronado's past and present events. Alan has also created a popular artwork called the Angels Flight Walk of Fame Commemorative Steps. It commemorates the lives of artists lead by angels. Did You Know That Reverend Graham Made His Crackers Plain On Purpose? Looks Like That Plan Backfired! Welcome to July 5th, 2021 on the National Day Calendar. Today we celebrate making a splash and plain and simple treats.  In July of 1946, the United States tested a nuclear device at the Bikini Atoll in the South Pacific. The military operation caused quite a stir around the world. However, the truly explosive event from that week occurred a few days later when fashion designer Louis Réard debuted his newest creation, named after the tests—the bikini. To say that this two-piece women's bathing suit caused a stir is a massive understatement. Several U.S. states banned women from wearing bikinis in public. The pope declared the swimsuit to be sinful and immoral. Eventually, the outrage died down and today, you can find bikinis wherever there's a beach or a pool. On National Bikini Day, chill out and go as bare as you dare. You may find it ironic that the guy who made graham crackers plain on purpose also preached against decadent desserts.  Reverend Graham imagined the slightly sweetened cracker as a health food with whole wheat graham flour and added bran.  The Presbyterian minister developed his cracker as part of the Graham Diet to curb sinful cravings. Little did he know that he had built the very foundation for cheesecakes and s'mores and other wicked good desserts.  On National Graham Cracker Day give in to some guilty pleasures or celebrate responsibly with a simple glass of milk.   I'm Anna Devere and I'm Marlo Anderson.  Thanks for joining us as we Celebrate Every Day.

Pastor Greg Laurie, author of Billy Graham: The Man I Knew, shares the story of how Billy Graham came to Christ and eventually became America's best-known evangelist and Christian ambassador to the world. Reverend Graham once told Laurie, I don't think I'm a very good preacher. But I think God has given me the gift of giving the invitation.

S03-E05 We feature Reverend Billy Graham and the speech from 1958 “Why the cross?” It is an appropriate recording to post to the podcast since it is Thursday of Holy Week, just before Christ was crucified. As a Christ-follower myself, there is nothing more central to the Christian faith than the death and resurrection of Jesus from the dead. It is part of the central message of the faith and essential for it to be meaningful. In addition to this audio episode, I also provide several PDF documents: first, a biography of Reverend Graham, second, second, a general article on how crucifixion occurred in ancient times, third, an article focused on the crucifixion of Jesus and finally, an article on the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. All four articles come from Wikipedia. In case you haven't noticed, life is hectic right now, especially in politics. Nearly every person is spinning theories about repairing our political system or gloating over the president's illness, or how one party is the unique savior of the republic. Reverend Franklin Graham disagrees and instead posits that only Christ and Him crucified can repair human lives, thus the culture, and thus human politics. This episode is a re-air of the interview IFI's media director, Monte Larrick, did with Reverend Graham directly before IFI's fall fundraising banquet in 2019.

The New Pilgrim’s Progress is a modern retelling of John Bunyan’s 17th century classic “Pilgrim’s Progress.” It is an allegorical pilgrimage through the landscape of 21st century American spirituality. In this sixth part Pilgrim and Religious meet up with Billy Graham, who is also traveling the Way. Reverend Graham warns them of the dangers of the town they are approaching, and predicts that one of them would die for their faith. After departing from Billy Graham, Pilgrim and Religious enter the city of Megachurch and come to Prosperity Gospel Ministries. Religious is outraged at what he sees and hears there. In a moment of zeal he overturns the tables of the vendors and is immediately arrested.Security proceeds to interrogate him, jail him, and put him on trial before Judge Media. Several witnesses are called to testify, including Capitalism, Nationalism, and Racism. Religious is found guilty and immediately executed by stoning. After his death, Pilgrim, who had denied Religious, left Prosperity Gospel Ministries, weeping bitterly.

"Not long ago, I saw Billy Graham join with Shecky Green, Red Buttons, Dionne Warwick, Milton Berle and other theologians in a tribute to George Burns, who was celebrating himself for surviving eighty years in show business. The Reverend Graham exchanged one-liners with Burns about making preparations for Eternity. Although the Bible makes no mention of it, the Reverend Graham assured the audience that God loves those who make people laugh. It was an honest mistake. He merely mistook NBC for God.â??-Neail Postman This weeks blog posts, Lynn calls in to talk politics and political movements, John Adams calls in to talk nukes and Tragedy and Hope._hoaxbusterscall.com
