What's Wrong with Franklin Graham's Gospel Message in Belarus? (with Tihomir Kukolja)

Franklin Graham's May 2026 visit to Belarus wasn't just an evangelistic crusade — it was a diplomatic mission for Donald Trump. Lukashenko, Europe's last dictator and Putin's key ally in the northern invasion of Ukraine, used Graham's visit to send "warm greetings to President Trump." That's not gospel. That's Christian nationalism with a passport. Tihomir Kukolja, former Executive Director of the Forum for Leadership and Reconciliation, was born in the former Yugoslavia, where Billy Graham preached to 10,000 people in a steady rain in 1967 — braving communist power to reach ordinary people with nothing to offer him politically. He watched that legacy get dismantled in real time when Franklin Graham sat across from Lukashenko and called it an honor. In this conversation, Tihomir — a Croatian theologian, reconciliation leader, and eyewitness to both legacies — walks through exactly what happened in Minsk, what it reveals about Franklin Graham's double gospel, and why a message that poses no threat to authoritarian power is not the gospel of Jesus Christ. This is the Belarus dictator story American evangelicals aren't talking about. It should be.

It's Wednesday, June 3rd, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Russia launched airstrikes against residential Ukraine Russia carried out airstrikes on residential buildings across Ukraine yesterday. The attacks killed at least 22 civilians and injured 138 more people. Evangelical Focus reports one of the missiles severely damaged the building of New Life Church in the capital city of Kyiv. Thankfully, no one was in the structure at the time. The church is known for providing shelter and aid to people fleeing the war in the east.  This attack came only 10 days after Russian airstrikes hit the building of another Evangelical church in eastern Ukraine. 50 percent of Danish young people believe in God or a “higher power” A growing share of young people in Denmark are expressing interest in God and the Bible. A report from the Danish Bible Society found about half of 16 to 30-year-olds believe there is a God or a “higher power.” These young people are more open to faith than the rest of the population. They are also more likely to attend church and to be interested in the Bible than older generations.  Among young people, men proved to be the most religious. One in three young men in Denmark attended a church service recently, and one in five reads the Bible weekly. Franklin Graham preached to 20,000 in Madrid, Spain Evangelist Franklin Graham shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ with nearly 20,000 people in Madrid, Spain over the weekend. Listen. GRAHAM: “The Bible says that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son. Jesus Christ came to save sinners. He took your sins to the cross. He died in your place. He shed His own blood. He did this for you.” Nearly a thousand Evangelical churches across 15 denominations participated in the event. The number of Evangelical churches in Spain has been growing in recent decades in the Catholic-majority country.  Trump's Executive Order on childhood vaccines In the United States, President Donald Trump signed an executive order on childhood vaccines last Friday. The order directs the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to update the childhood vaccine schedule based on an assessment by the Department of Health and Human Services.  This assessment found that the United States recommends more childhood vaccines than any peer nation. It also noted that most peer nations do not implement vaccinations by mandate.  Washington Nationals baseball team fired anti-Catholic PR man An American professional baseball team fired a top official last week for religious discrimination. Sean Hudson worked as the Director of Community Relations for the Washington Nationals. A recent undercover video exposed him for discriminating against the team's Catholic pitcher, Trevor Williams. Hudson excluded Williams from social media promotions because of his religious beliefs.  Listen. HUDSON: “One of our pitchers, Dude Trevor Williams, he is very Catholic. The Dodgers had a group out to the stadium who were drag queens who sometimes dressed up as nuns. He went on, like, a social media, like, ‘This is wrong. This is my religion. You all are mocking it.' Because of that, we don't use him on social.” Since the undercover video came out, the Nationals fired Hudson and apologized to Williams. U.S. abortionists killed nearly 100,000 babies in January Abortion providers killed an estimated 99,470 babies in the womb in January 2026. This number comes from the pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute. Last year's average number of abortions per month was 93,872. Life News commented, “The Guttmacher figures are indeed estimates, given the number of abortions taking place at home via the mail, with limited data regarding what proportion of pills mailed are actually consumed by the recipient, saved for later use, discarded, or even prevented by abortion pill reversal medication.” Museum of the Bible launches series on Bible's U.S. influence And finally, the Museum of the Bible is launching new exhibits and events this year for the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.  The museum is hosting a series of lectures starting this month about the Bible's role in the founding of the United States.  Next month, the museum plans to debut two exhibits on the Bible's influence on early America.  Their website says, “From America's earliest days, no text has left a deeper mark on the nation's ideals, laws, and culture than the Bible. As America marks its 250th anniversary, Museum of the Bible invites you to explore this story like never before.” Psalm 111:2 and 4 says, “The works of the LORD are great, studied by all who have pleasure in them. … He has made His wonderful works to be remembered; the LORD is gracious and full of compassion.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Wednesday, June 3rd, in the year of our Lord 2026. A Call for Renewal | The Message I Shared at Rededicate 250

A few weeks ago I had the honor of speaking at Rededicate 250 in Washington, D.C. it was a national call to prayer on the National Mall as our country approaches the 250th anniversary of its founding. And though the event reiterated our deep need for God as a nation, what I left Washington asking myself was this: How do we rededicate not just our country, but our homes, our marriages, our children, our own hearts? Because while, yes, we're living in a time of deep political division and cultural upheaval, true revival doesn't start in the halls of government—it begins in our own homes. Renewal starts with us. In addition to the remarks I gave at Rededicate, I also share my dad, Franklin Graham's message. During his time on stage, my dad called our nation to repentance and back to true dependence on God, the principles we were founded on 250 years ago. As we approach this milestone anniversary for our country, let's once again examine our own role in building a nation rooted in the message of the Gospel. What would it look like for me—what would it look like for you—to truly rededicate ourselves and our families to the Lord? Our answer to that question has the power to change the course of our country, and our world.

It's Thursday, May 21st, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Finnish member of Parliament appeals religious liberty ruling A Finnish member of Parliament is appealing her religious freedom case to the European Court of Human Rights.  Finland's Supreme Court convicted Päivi Räsänen of hate speech in March. Her offense was writing a pamphlet about biblical sexuality 20 years ago. Alliance Defending Freedom International announced this month that she is making a final appeal in her case.  Räsänen commented, “The failure of the Finnish Supreme Court to uphold freedom of speech has set a dangerous precedent in my country and across Europe. ... I know I am not alone in facing unjust persecution under ‘hate speech' laws that make sharing Christian beliefs a criminal offense.”  French legislature rejects legalization of suicide French lawmakers rejected a bill to legalize assisted suicide last week.  The measure would even impose prison terms and heavy fines on people deemed to be obstructing access to assisted suicide.  Bruno Retailleau leads the conservative Les Républicains Party in France. The lawmaker argued against the bill, saying, “We cannot support a text that, in the name of a misguided progressivism, risks sacrificing the most vulnerable among us to the cold logic of budgetary constraints and legal precedents.” Franklin Graham preached to 30,000 people in Belarus On May 16th, Evangelist Franklin Graham shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ with over 30,000 people in Minsk, Belarus which is located in Eastern Europe with Russia to the east, Ukraine to the south and Poland to the west. Listen. GRAHAM: “Lying is a sin. We have all have lied. So, we're sinners. We've broken God's laws. We're under a judgment. We're under a death sentence. The wages of sin is death.” Indeed, Romans 6:23 declares, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (You can watch his sermon through a special link in our transcript today at www.TheWorldview.com) It was reportedly the largest Evangelical event ever in the Eastern European country. Hundreds of people turned to Christ during the event. Graham wrote about one unique conversion story. He said, “One man shared that he had planned to end his life last Tuesday, but was not successful. He came tonight, heard the Gospel, and found true hope by putting his faith and trust in Christ.” John 3:17 says, “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world, through Him, might be saved.” Secretary of State Rubio blames Cuban problems on Communism Yesterday was Cuban Independence Day. It's the 124th anniversary of the birth of the Republic of Cuba. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio marked the day by sharing a Spanish-language video message with the people of Cuba.  RUBIO: “The reason you are forced to survive 22 hours a day without electricity is not due to an oil ‘blockade' by the U.S. As you know, better than anyone, you have been suffering from blackouts for years. The real reason you don't have electricity, fuel, or food is because those who control your country have plundered billions of dollars, but nothing has been used to help the people. “Thirty years ago, Raúl Castro founded a company called GAESA. This company is owned and operated by the Armed Forces, and has revenues three times greater than your current government's budget. Today, while you suffer, these businessmen have $18 billion dollars in assets and control 70% of Cuba's economy.” Rubio blamed the country's economic hardship on its communist leadership. He stated, “President Trump is offering a new relationship between the U.S. and Cuba. … First, we are offering $100 million dollars in food and medicine for you, the people. But they must be distributed directly to the Cuban people by the Catholic Church or other trusted charitable groups. Not stolen by [government-run businesses] to sell in one of their stores.” Trump's endorsement defeats Rep. Thomas Massie in Kentucky In the United States, Republican Trump-backed candidates won their primaries on Tuesday.  Most notably, U.S. House candidate Ed Gallrein won a primary in Kentucky against Rep. Thomas Massie. Gallrein won 54.9 percent to 45.1 percent. Massie was an outspoken critic of some of President Trump's actions like the war with Iran.  The race cost $32 million, making it the most expensive contest for the U.S. House of Representatives in history.  U.S. parents more likely to identify as Christian than non-parents The American Bible Society released the second chapter of its report, “State of the Bible: USA 2026.” The survey evaluated parenting and faith. Notably, Gen Z and Millennial parents are much more likely to identify as Christians than people their age who are not parents. Over 60 percent of parents from the younger generations call themselves Christians. Meanwhile, less than 50 percent of non-parents do the same.   Among parents, 29 percent pray with their children regularly and 14 percent read the Bible with them regularly. Those numbers more than doubled among parents who are practicing Christians.  Bibles for the World will distribute 1.4 million copies of John And finally, Bibles For The World hopes to distribute 1.4 million copies of the Gospel of John this coming Saturday.  The global evangelism effort will span over 20 countries on Pentecost Saturday, May 23.  John Pudaite, the president of Bibles for the World, told the Christian News Wire, “It is record-breaking in that it's the single largest provision of Scripture in history for a one-day evangelistic event.” Romans 10:15 says, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the Gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!” Close And that's The Worldview on this Thursday, May 21st, in the year of our Lord 2026. They called Trump and Mike Johnson "modern-day Esthers" — chosen by God, appointed for such a time as this. But the Esther Bible story doesn't say what they think it says.   Esther was a powerless Jewish exile who risked her life to protect her people from annihilation. She had no army, no legislation, no executive authority. She was a refugee at the mercy of an empire. MAGA theology has taken one of Scripture's most profound stories of courage against oppression and turned it into a permission slip for political domination.   In this video, I apply the Fruit Test (Matthew 7:16) to the MAGA Esther claim — examining how figures like Mike Johnson, Franklin Graham, and Dutch Sheets have weaponized this passage to sanctify Christian nationalism and the consolidation of state power.

We think of her as a genteel Southern lady, and she was that, for sure. But Ruth Bell Graham was so much more. While her husband was away so much, preaching to the masses, she was preaching to her own little flock. The result was children who became adults, and in turn shared the Good News of Jesus with others.Anne Graham Lotz and Franklin Graham didn't just fall out of the sky!Proverbs 27:17 says, “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.”In their little home in the mountains of North Carolina, while Daddy was in Brussels, New York, and Sydney, Mother Ruth was faithful for years on end to impart godly wisdom to their children. Much iron was sharpened on cold winter nights and long summer days.Theirs was a home that didn't always have both parents available, but they thrived.Use that as an example of how to bring up your own children. You'll be happy forever that you did.Let's pray.Lord, Your Word is good, and it shines a light on our path. Give us the strength to mentor our own children in your ways. It's Monday, May 4th, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Christians in Afghanistan have to remain invisible to survive Being known as a Christian in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan brings lethal danger. In this country of 44 million people, Muslims comprise more than 99.7% of the population, reports International Christian Concern. Not long after the Taliban retook control of Afghanistan in August 2021, they declared that no Christians were remaining in the country. Though the Taliban claimed no Christians remained, Christians still exist—surviving only by remaining invisible. The Taliban reportedly searched door to door and through smartphones, hunting for any signs of Christian conversion. This reality highlights the core argument: Afghan Christians must stay hidden to survive. The situation also became highly precarious for other religious minorities, including Sikhs, Hindus, and the country's last Jewish resident. According to Open Doors, Afghanistan is the 11th most dangerous country for Christians worldwide. In John 15:19, Jesus said to His disciples, “If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.” Trump withdraws 5,000 troops from Germany The United States will withdraw 5,000 troops from Germany in the next six to 12 months, the Pentagon said Friday, fulfilling President Donald Trump's threat as he clashes with the German leader over the U.S. war with Iran, reports the Associated Press. Trump had threatened to withdraw some troops from the NATO ally earlier this week after German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said the U.S. was being “humiliated” by the Iranian leadership and criticized Washington's lack of strategy in the war. Germany hosts several U.S. military facilities, including the headquarters of its European and Africa commands, Ramstein Air Base and a medical center in Landstuhl, where casualties from the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq were treated. U.S. nuclear missiles are also stationed in the country. The number of troops leaving Germany would be 14% of the 36,000 American service members stationed there. News of the troop withdrawal drew swift pushback from Democrats in Congress as well as a hawkish Washington think tank. They said the move will benefit Russian President Vladimir Putin and weaken U.S. security interests. Bradley Bowman, a scholar at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, said the U.S. military's presence in Germany and elsewhere in Europe “not only strengthens deterrence against additional Kremlin aggression but also facilitates the projection of American military power into the Mediterranean, the Middle East, and Africa.” Federal appeals court blocks mail-order abortion pills Ready for some great pro-life news? On May 1st, a federal court issued a ruling that temporarily blocked the ability to send the Abortion Kill Pill by mail. Of American mothers who abort, 63% choose to use abortion drugs. If ultimately upheld, this decision could save tens of thousands of babies from abortions, reports LifeNews.com. A panel of the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans temporarily blocked a Biden administration rule allowing the abortion drug, mifepristone, to be dispensed through the mail. Marjorie Dannenfelser, the president of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, called the ruling “a huge victory for victims and survivors of Biden's reckless mail-order abortion drug regime. We are so grateful for the tenacity of [Louisiana] Attorney General Liz Murrill, abortion drug coercion survivor Rosalie Markezich, and all our allies demanding action. “Women and children suffer and state sovereignty is violated every day the Food and Drug Administration allows abortion drugs to flood the mail – harms that are no mere accident, but predictable outcomes of the FDA's unscientific removal of safeguards like in-person doctor visits.” Republican State candidate found dead An investigation is underway into the death of a Republican state Senate candidate in Oklahoma who was found dead in his pickup truck on April 30th in a wildlife refuge, reports The Western Journal. Barry Christian, a candidate for state Senate District 38, had disappeared on April 28th, according to KOCO-TV. The Beckham County Sheriff's Office said a hunter reported to authorities that he had seen the wreck of a pickup truck that appeared to have crashed off a high ridge. 149th anniversary of God's locust miracle in Minnesota And finally, from 1873 to 1877, grasshoppers, also known as locusts, destroyed hundreds of thousands of acres of crops in Minnesota, leaving eggs in the soil for the next season. On April 26, 1877, Minnesota Republican Governor John Pillsbury declared a statewide day of prayer and fasting to combat a devastating four-year Rocky Mountain locust plague, which was threatening widespread starvation.  Schools and businesses closed, with many residents taking the day seriously, asking God for deliverance. Shortly after the day of prayer, an unseasonable cold snap and snow arrived, freezing and killing millions of hatching larvae grasshopper nymphs. It was divine intervention. God answered their prayers. Prayer At The Heart invites 1 million Christians to pray for an unbeliever Speaking of the power of prayer, Prayer At The Heart, a group founded in 2021, to pray for America, launched 50 days of prayer, inviting one million Christians to pray for the salvations of a friend or loved one through May 24th. Franklin Graham said, “The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association desires to express its appreciation and support for the efforts of Prayer At The Heart to see one million people come to Christ by Pentecost Sunday, 2026. This could be the beginning of the spiritual awakening our nation so desperately needs, a renewal found only in Jesus Christ.” Get access to a free 68-page, 50-day prayer guide through a special link in our transcript today at www.TheWorldview.com.  Plus, check out their  online ‘Prayer Wall' with  scheduled prayer in every state for an hour each week. Hundreds of journalists demanded that President Trump be confronted forcefully at the White House Correspondents Dinner. And they nearly got their wish. The media’s hatred of this man is really at demonic levels. It's unhinged. And yet, when the gunman attacked, President Trump ordered the Secret Service to protect the journalists. He was deeply concerned about their safety and well-being. And he was determined to stay and resume the program to accommodate the reporters. That notion was quickly dismissed by the Secret Service. But it shows you the heart of this man - a good and decent man who has been maligned by the media and the DC establishment. We thank God once again that he spared the life of our president and our lovely First Lady. And we thank God that he spared the live of the Secret Service agent who was shot. God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble and he will protect us from the evil one. But the only people to blame for the current assassination culture in America are the Democrats, and the Legacy Media. Watch the Todd Starnes Show live below. Something Has Gone Terribly Wrong: Peter Wehner on Trump's Unholy War

“They weren't interested in being on the side of God so much as they are insistent that God is on their side.” — Peter Wehner on Hegseth and Trump According to Peter Wehner, something has gone terribly wrong in America. And that something, Wehner has been warning us now for more than ten years, is Donald Trump. In his latest Atlantic piece, “Hegseth's Unholy War,” Wehner aims his moral rifle at Trump's latest outrage, the Iranian conflict. Citing Hegseth's prayer at the Pentagon for “overwhelming violence of action against those who deserve no mercy,” Wehner argues that the Bible, in his Crusader-like hands, has been weaponized into a theological cover for bloodlust. Something has gone terribly wrong with the intersection of faith and American politics, Wehner believes. The evangelical church, which once commanded real moral authority, has largely become what he calls a defamation of Jesus. Thus the significance of Pope Leo XIV's public opposition to Trump. Rather than a social media spat, Wehner sees this Papal indictment of Trump as a kind of moral war which has been brewing for some time. In a recent New York Times op-ed co-authored with Jonathan Rauch, Wehner argued that the Trump administration has reached its psychotic stage. Having filled key institutions with Hegseth-style lackeys and hoodlums, this psychosis is now infecting not just the federal government but the whole world. Thus Iran. It's the kind of fiasco you wouldn't expect from middle schoolers planning a field trip, Wehner says. His fear is that as Trump is humiliated by both the Papacy and Tehran, the President of the United States will have what psychologists call an extinction burst — a five-year-old's out-of-control tantrum. Yes, something has indeed gone terribly wrong in America. Five Takeaways •       Hegseth's Unholy War: At a Pentagon worship service, Hegseth prayed for “overwhelming violence of action against those who deserve no mercy,” invoking imprecatory psalms — emotional laments written from the perspective of the powerless — as theological cover for the most powerful military force in history. Wehner's sharpest line: Hegseth and his allies are not interested in being on the side of God; they are insistent that God is on their side. The Bible becomes not a text for self-examination but a weapon aimed outward. Wehner's diagnosis: Hegseth has a bloodlust, unresolved resentments, and a conversion that is at least in part real — but real in the sense that he has locked onto a particular brand of faith to validate things he already believes. •       Something Has Gone Terribly Wrong: The evangelical church, which once commanded moral authority, has become — by and large, in Wehner's view — an awful depiction of the Christian faith and a net negative contribution to American civic life. Figures like Franklin Graham, Tony Perkins, Robert Jeffress, and Al Mohler have become vocal Trump supporters, using the name of Jesus to validate cruelty and crudity. Wehner's explanation: too many people who know better are afraid to speak out — afraid their congregations will split, afraid of the institutional costs. But the silence is not neutral. A watching world has seen these evangelicals and concluded: you are a bunch of hypocrites who act worse than the people you criticize. •       Pope Leo XIV vs. Trump: Wehner thinks this is not a tiff. It is an intellectual war, and it has been carefully planned. Pope Leo — an American pope, significantly — represents a set of contrasts almost too clean to be coincidental: a moral man against an amoral one, a person of faith against a person of no faith, someone who uses language with care against someone who cannot help but dehumanize his critics. And an institution-builder against an institution-destroyer. Wehner credits Leo with performing a necessary function that almost no one else in American public life is capable of performing — confronting Trump on explicitly moral terms with unblemished authority. •       Vance: The Mask He Wears: Wehner distinguishes Hegseth from Vance: Hegseth is, in some sense, a true believer; Vance's conversion to MAGA was transparently cynical, driven by enormous ambition. That makes him more morally culpable, not less. But Wehner also notes a psychological dynamic: when you live a life at odds with what you truly believe, cognitive dissonance is painful, and the mind mitigates that pain by rationalizing, by beginning to believe what you say. You become the mask you wear. Vance, Rubio, Graham, Johnson — these are people who knew better, decided to make a figurative deal with the devil, and convinced themselves they could do more good than harm. •       The Republican Party Has Become a Dark Force: Without the Republican Party, none of this could have happened. The party is hugely accountable. Trump is sociopathic — colorblind when it comes to morality, probably unable to help himself. But the Republicans in the party did know better and went along anyway. Mike Johnson, very big on proclaiming his evangelical faith, is a pathetic and disreputable figure. His reputation has been stained beyond belief. Wehner's verdict on the party's future: if it has any association with the current iteration, it deserves condemnation. The roots of MAGA go too deep for a snapback. This may get more chaotic after Trump leaves than less. History will get it right, Wehner believes. These people were on the wrong side of their faith, their morality, their politics, and their justice. And it will be known. About the Guest Peter Wehner is a contributing writer at The Atlantic and a senior fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center. He served in the Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and George W. Bush administrations. He is the author of The Death of Politics and several other books. He lives in McLean, Virginia. References: •       Hegseth's Unholy War by Peter Wehner, The Atlantic, April 2026. •       “Pete Hegseth's Moral Unseriousness,” by Peter Wehner, The Atlantic, April 2026. •       “The Trump Administration Is in a Psychotic State,” by Peter Wehner and Jonathan Rauch, The New York Times, April 10, 2026. •       The Barmen Declaration (1934) — Bonhoeffer's theological break with the German Protestant church under Nazism, discussed as a historical precedent. About Keen On America Nobody asks more awkward questions than the Anglo-American writer and filmmaker Andrew Keen. Stay connected with us at americangroundradio.com, on Facebook, and Instagram. You're listening to American Ground Radio with Louis R. Avallone and Stephen Parr. This is the full show for April 20, 2026. We open with a direct response to Senator Cory Booker's declaration that what America needs is "not from on high" — and we don't mince words. When a sitting United States Senator who may be eyeing the presidency tells Americans to put their hope in themselves and their activism rather than in God, he isn't just making a political statement. He is rejecting the very foundation on which this country was built. We go to the Declaration of Independence, to Ben Franklin's speech at the Constitutional Convention, to John Adams, and to the book of Judges to explain exactly what happens to a nation where every man does what is right in his own eyes. Spoiler — it isn't good. In our Top 3 Things You Need to Know, the U.S. Navy stopped an Iranian cargo ship attempting to run the blockade, warned it for six hours, fired on its engines, boarded it, and found it loaded with missile parts. Iran calls it a ceasefire violation. We call it exactly the kind of restraint that could have ended with that ship at the bottom of the ocean. Then Tim Cook is stepping down as CEO of Apple after building the company into a $4 trillion giant in the post-Steve Jobs era — and we ask the question every Apple customer is thinking. And we cover the most heartbreaking story in northwest Louisiana in recent memory — a 31-year-old man in Shreveport drove to the homes of his wife and ex-wife and shot and killed seven of his own children and one of their cousins. Both women were shot in the head and are in serious condition. We note that the Caddo Parish D.A. had previously dropped charges against this man for shooting a firearm near an elementary school. Our American Mamas Teri Netterville and Kimberly Burleson tackle mate poaching — the growing trend of women intentionally targeting married men through emotional affairs, and the social media content that is now openly teaching other women how to do it. We talk about why emotional affairs are often more destructive than physical ones, why your spouse needs to be your best friend first, and the surprising story of the husband who came home and told his wife she needed to start going to the pharmacy — because he felt something he shouldn't have felt for the woman behind the counter. In our Digging Deep segment, we cover two major accountability stories. Senate Republicans are moving a narrow budget reconciliation bill to fund Homeland Security, ICE, the Coast Guard, Secret Service, and TSA — bypassing the 60-vote filibuster threshold with a simple majority. We explain how reconciliation works and why it matters right now. Then we dig into the news that Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche has tapped former Trump attorney Joe DeGeneva — a man we've had on our show multiple times — to lead the grand jury probe into former CIA Director John Brennan and the origins of the Russia collusion investigation. A federal grand jury in Miami has been seated since late last year. FBI Director Kash Patel told Maria Bartiromo this weekend that arrests are coming and to stay tuned this week. We talk about why accountability matters, why the pattern of selective prosecution erodes faith in the entire system, and why Pam Bondi's departure and Todd Blanche's arrival may be the turning point conservatives have been waiting for. We also take on Bill Maher's post-Swalwell confession that Eric Swalwell always creeped him out — and ask the question nobody on the left wants to answer. Where were you when it mattered? There is no bravery in distancing yourself from someone who has already been exposed. We cover New York City Mayor Mamdani's war on the rich — specifically the fact that the top 1% of New York City earners are already paying nearly half of all personal income tax revenue in the city — and ask how many times you can go to that well before those people simply leave. For our Bright Spot, the Museum of the Bible in Washington D.C. is hosting America Reads the Bible — a seven-day continuous reading of the entire Old and New Testaments in honor of America's 250th birthday, featuring President Trump, Speaker Mike Johnson, Marco Rubio, Ron DeSantis, Greg Abbott, Ted Cruz, Ben Carson, Franklin Graham, and dozens more. Not a single Democrat took part. We think that tells you everything you need to know. And we close with Principal Kirk Moore of Pauls Valley High School in Oklahoma — the man who ran out of his office, tackled a gunman, and wrestled the gun away with his bare hands, suffering the only injury of the day. This week, his students voted him king of the prom. Nickelback's Hero played as they placed the crown on his head. May your pursuit of happiness bring you joy. It's Thursday, April 16th, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark and Adam McManus 1 million Lebanese displaced by Middle East conflict The recent war in the Middle East between the U.S., Israel, and Iran has displaced over one million people in Lebanon.  Israel has bombed targets in Lebanon associated with Hezbollah, a Muslim militant group backed by Iran.  Christians make up a third of Lebanon's population. Sadly, Israel's bombardments there have lead to the deaths of over 2,000 people, including Christians.  Michel Constantin with the Catholic Near East Welfare Agency said, “Towns and villages in which Christians live in south Lebanon have also been violently attacked without any warning. Israel has bombed areas that have nothing to do with Hezbollah.” United States brokers peace deal between Lebanon and Israel The United States brokered peace talks between Lebanon and Israel in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday. It's the first time the two countries have held diplomatic talks in decades.  Lebanon and Israel agreed to work towards ending the influence of Hezbollah, the terrorist group. Listen to comments from U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. RUBIO: “This is a historic opportunity. We understand we're working against decades of history and complexities that have led us to this unique moment. “Some of you are shouting questions about ceasefire. This is a lot more than just about that. This is about bringing a permanent end to 20 or 30 years of Hezbollah's influence in this part of the world.” Slow economic growth this year because of Middle East war The International Monetary Fund expects global economic growth to slow this year due to the war in the Middle East.  The conflict is driving up energy prices and disrupting shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.  The International Monetary Fund projects global growth to slow to 3.1 percent this year. That's down from its original forecast of 3.3 percent.   70% of Americans think taxes too high Yesterday was tax day in the United States. A new Fox News Poll found a record 70 percent of voters think their taxes are too high. That's up from 60 percent in 2025. Also, 75 percent of people see government spending as wasteful. That's up nearly 20 percentage points since 2025. The average single worker in the U.S. sends just under a third of their income to the government. That's according to a report by the Cato Institute.  U.S. fertility rate down The U.S. fertility rate fell to a new low last year, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.  The general fertility rate in 2025 was 53.1 births per 1,000 females aged 15 to 44. That's down one percent from the rate in 2024 and down 23 percent from 2007. The fertility rate for women in their 20s has dropped significantly. Meanwhile, the rates for women in their 30s and early 40s is growing.   Hegseth and Rubio will read the Bible aloud Nearly 500 leaders from all spheres of influence are about to gather in Washington, D.C. to read the entire Bible aloud. The Museum of the Bible is hosting its “America Reads the Bible” event from April 19 to 25. Participants will read Scripture for 12 hours each day. Readers include Rev. Franklin Graham, Dr. Ben Carson, War Secretary Pete Hegseth, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Six governors and 20 members of Congress will also be reading the Bible aloud.  The event's website says, “In honor of the 250th birthday of the United States, America Reads the Bible serves as a spiritual celebration of our nation's founding ideals and a call to rediscover the truth that still anchors us today.” Nehemiah 9:3 says, “And they stood up in their place and read from the Book of the Law of the LORD their God for one-fourth of the day; and, for another fourth, they confessed and worshiped the LORD their God.” Oklahoma principal risked life to stop school shooter An Oklahoma high school principal risked his life to stop a school shooter last week. The 20-year-old shooter opened fire inside the lobby of Pauls Valley High School last Tuesday afternoon. The principal, 60-year-old Kirk Moore, charged the shooter, tackling him to the ground. Another staff member helped disarm the gunman.  Moore was the only person injured in the incident, suffering a shot to his leg. However, he is healthy and recovering after being hospitalized. He wrote in a statement last Friday, “I am grateful that my instincts and training, as well as God's hand, were available to me on Tuesday.” John 15:13 says, “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends.” Today is the FINAL day to see “A Great Awakening” Christian film And finally, as the United States approaches its 250th anniversary, the word “liberty” is resurfacing in cultural debates, but for Sight & Sound President Joshua Enck, it carries a deeper meaning, inspiring the ministry's new film, “A Great Awakening,” reports The Christian Post. “On the Liberty Bell, it quotes Leviticus 25:10 which says, ‘Proclaim liberty throughout all the land and to all the inhabitants thereof.' Wnck, who also directed this film, said, “I want that liberty to ring out over this nation once again in the hearts of men and women.” The film centers on the unlikely friendship between 18th-century evangelist George Whitefield and Founding Father Benjamin Franklin, a deist.  Whitefield, widely regarded as one of the most influential preachers of the Great Awakening, traveled thousands of miles on horseback throughout the American colonies.   Enck said, “It was the first shared experience across the colonies. Eighty percent of colonists didn't just hear about Whitefield; they heard him preach. They were unified by something they could all believe in.” Remarkably, he spoke 18,000 times to 10 million people in person. One scene depicted in the film shows Whitefield preaching in a coal field in Bristol, England, drawing miners from underground. He wrote in his diary that he saw white streaks down their blackened cheeks from tears. The director explained, “They were a team. Franklin was the greatest promoter of the greatest event in American history. There were many preachers leading up to 1776, but there were none like Whitefield, and when you combined the power of his voice with Franklin's ability to get the word out, it unified the colonies.” According to Enck, before the political revolution came spiritual awakening. He noted, “Our tagline says it all: ‘Before the revolution, there was a revelation.'”  In the film, Whitefield delivers a line that encapsulates Enck's understanding of biblical liberty: “Blood will be shed for the liberty you're talking about, but blood was already shed [by Jesus Christ] for the liberty.” He added, “This film doesn't shy away from the Gospel. We don't soft-shoe anything.” Rather than portraying historical figures as flawless icons, the film highlights their humanity and need for a Savior. We talk about Christians and politics, loyalty to parties vs loyalty to Christ, the viral Trump controversy, Franklin Graham's comments, and why so many believers feel pressure to defend everything or condemn everything. We wrestle with questions most Christians are afraid to ask:Can you support a party and still call out its leaders? Why do Christians disagree so deeply on politics if we share the same Bible? Are pastors being too quiet… or too loud? And are believers starting with emotion instead of God's Word?We also discuss the growing confusion between the role of the church and the role of the state, the danger of political tribalism, and how Christians should approach difficult conversations without losing their witness. With so much noise, outrage, and division online, how should followers of Jesus think, speak, and respond? We talk about what it really looks like to stay grounded in Scripture, pursue holiness, and keep Christ above politics in a world constantly demanding your allegiance. We release new conversations every Thursday

Larry Alex Taunton critiques Tucker Carlson's comments about Franklin Graham quoting Esther and argues Carlson dishonestly portrays Esther as a Jewish “genocide of Persians” to attack Jews, Israel, and ultimately God while trying to keep Christian listeners by claiming Esther isn't really canonical. Taunton contends the 75,000 killed were not Persians but Amalekites aligned with Haman's plot to annihilate the Jews, and that King Xerxes permitted Jewish self-defense, noting the Jews did not plunder. He defends Esther's place in the canon, compares its implicit providence to Tolkien, and says other biblical books also omit God's name. Taunton claims Carlson is increasingly aligned with Islam and uncomfortable with biblical violence, then argues God-ordained judgment appears throughout Scripture and should be approached with reverence, repentance, and submission to God's justice and grace.

John Whaley brings over 40 years of ministry experience to every conversation, including 21 years as a pastor. He currently serves as Chief of Staff for Prayer at the Heart and as Senior North American Pioneer and Executive Pioneer for The Rooftop International. A passionate teacher of the Word and advocate for united prayer, John previously led a city-wide Pastors Prayer Movement in Alabama that united leaders across denominational lines. He now serves on the National Prayer Committee in the United States and has preached the Gospel throughout the U.S. and in countries including Romania, Germany, France, Poland, Austria, South Africa, and South Korea. John's deepest burden is to see every local church awakened to the priority of prayer, the passion of the Father, and the power of the Gospel. He longs for pastors in every city to pray and labor together as one, and for believers to step beyond the walls of their buildings to transform their cities with the Gospel and make disciples who make disciples. John is a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and lives in Hickory, North Carolina, with his family.Prayer at the Heart is a national prayer movement dedicated to igniting spiritual awakening in America through unified, humble, and biblically grounded prayer. Their bold mission is simple yet powerful: “One Million Praying. One Million Saved. 50 Days. One God.” The organization is mobilizing 1 million Christians to pray specifically for 1 million Americans to come to faith in Jesus Christ. This 50-day focused prayer campaign runs from Passover to Pentecost (April 5 – May 24, 2026) and builds toward the America 250 National Prayer Initiative — coordinated public prayer gatherings in all 50 states on July 4, 2026, as the nation celebrates its 250th birthday. At its core, Prayer at the Heart calls the Church back to the heart of God through repentance, renewed passion for prayer, and bold witness. Rooted in 2 Chronicles 7:14, the movement emphasizes that real cultural and spiritual change begins when God's people humble themselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from their wicked ways. Rather than top-down programs, PATH focuses on grassroots activation — everyday believers praying for friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers, while churches open their doors and leaders unite across denominational lines for city-wide and nationwide prayer. The initiative was piloted in Northeast Ohio and is now scaling nationally. It equips participants with free prayer guides, trains state and county representatives, and encourages visible prayer in public spaces such as campuses, workplaces, neighborhoods, and city halls. Leadership includes:Dr. P. Douglas Small – President & Executive Director (vision carrier for over 30 years)Garry Bryant – Vice President & Chairman of the BoardJohn Whaley – Chief of Staff (featured guest)Additional board members and advisors with deep experience in evangelism, revival, and church leadership. The movement is proudly endorsed by Dr. Franklin Graham and Dr. Ronnie Floyd. Individuals and churches can get involved by:Committing to pray for one specific person and receiving the free 50-day Prayer GuideBecoming a state or county representativeHosting or joining local prayer gatheringsSupporting the work through prayer and giving (current matching-gift opportunity)In short, Prayer at the Heart believes that if America returns to prayer, God will return in power — and they are calling believers to be part of that historic move right now.https://prayerattheheart.org/Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/i-am-refocused-radio--2671113/support.Subscribe now at YouTube.com/@RefocusedNetworkThank you for your time.

(Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Pakistani Muslim threatened to kill Christian woman for not converting On Easter Sunday, in Muslim-majority Pakistan, police arrested a Muslim man accused of threatening to kill a Christian woman if she refused to convert to Islam and marry him, reports Morning Star News. Imran Masih in the Sahiwal District, said his 20-year-old niece, Laiba Javed, received a handwritten note from Rehman Irfan on April 2nd demanding that she convert to Islam and marry him by April 15th. In the note, Irfan warned that he would have her killed if she refused. Laiba, who works in Lahore, had returned to her ancestral village to celebrate Easter with relatives when she received the note. Masih said, “Irfan, [the Muslim man] who is a former schoolmate of Laiba, came to our house with two armed accomplices when she was alone. He handed her a letter at gunpoint stating that he loved her and would go to any extent to marry her after converting her.”  Not exactly the typical romantic gesture. Laiba immediately informed her family, who approached police. They booked him for issuing threats. Not surprisingly, she has since left the village due to safety concerns, though they remain worried about her security. According to a study by the Lahore-based Center for Social Justice, 515 cases of abduction and forced conversion involving minority women and girls were reported between 2021 and 2025. Hindu girls accounted for 69 percent or 353 cases, followed by Christian girls at 31 percent or 160 cases, while two cases involved Sikh victims. Additionally, more than half of the victims were between 14 and 18 years old, and about 20 percent were under 14. Religiously speaking, 96% of the Pakistani population is Muslim. Open Doors has documented that Pakistan is the eighth most oppressive country worldwide for Christians. Hegseth: “Iran begged for this ceasefire” On April 8th, War Secretary Pete Hegseth said Operation Epic Fury was a resounding success. HEGSETH: “Iran begged for this ceasefire, and we all know it. As the president 'truthed' this morning, ‘A big day for world peace.' “Iran wants it to happen. They've had enough. Operation: Epic Fury was a historic and overwhelming victory on the battlefield, a capital ‘V' military victory.” Iran peace talks underway as Vance arrives in Pakistan President Donald Trump said that talks with Iran have begun, adding that global oil shipping is finding alternatives to the Strait of Hormuz, reports NewsNation.com. Trump predicted the strait would reopen in the “not too distant future.” He warned that if negotiations do not go well, the U.S. is prepared to “reset,” saying, “We're ready to go.” The negotiations between the United States and Iran in Islamabad, Pakistan, on ending the six-week conflict are the first face-to-face talks between the two nations since 1979. Vice President J.D. Vance is leading the U.S. delegation, which also includes special Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff; Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner; and deputy national security adviser Dr. Andy Baker. Franklin Graham compares Trump to Biblical Esther On Good Friday, Rev. Franklin Graham prayed a powerful prayer at the White House as President Donald Trump stood behind him. GRAHAM: “Father, You tell us in the book of Esther that the Persians, the Iranians, were wanting to kill every Jew -- woman, child -- and do it all in one day. But You raised up Esther to save the Jewish people, Father, we thank you. “Today, the Iranians, the wicked regime of this government, wants to kill every Jew and destroy them with an atomic fire. But You have raised up President Trump. You've raised him up for such a time as this. And Father, we pray that You'll give him victory.” In Esther 4:14, Esther's guardian Mordecai, concerned about the fate of the Jews in light of Haman's threats, said, “For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” Franklin Graham concluded his prayer at the White House with these words. GRAHAM: “Father, we pray for our military that you'd watch over and protect them. Father, we pray for the people of Iran who want freedom to be set free from these Islamic lunatics. “Father, we thank you for Your Son, Jesus Christ, who came to this earth to take our sins, that He died and shed His blood on a cross for our sins, that He was buried. He took our sins to the grave, but You raised Him to life. Father, we thank You and we praise You, and we give You the glory. Father, protect President Trump. We pray this in Jesus' name. Amen.” Public school fully embraces Muslim Holidays, calls Easter ‘Spring break' John Overton High School, a taxpayer-funded public school in Nashville, Tennessee, has drawn national outrage after the Nashville Banner newspaper published a feature story celebrating the school's decision to fully embrace the Islamic holidays.  Not only does the school provide a food-free zone during lunchtime for Muslim students who are fasting during Ramadan, but the Muslim kids have reserved space on campus to pray.   In addition, Muslim students are also provided electronic hall passes so they can leave class for 15 minutes to pray, and teachers decorate their rooms with Muslim holiday decor.  For example, there's a map of Kurdistan above one teacher's desk and a box of prayer mats in the corner that students often borrow to pray at school.  Plus, Overton High School's cafeteria was decorated with gold and blue stars, moons, lanterns, and string lights, proclaiming, “Ramadan Mubarak” which means “Blessed Ramadan.” At least two Tennessee congressmen are disturbed by the school's coziness with the Islamic holidays. On the X platform, Republican Congressman Andy Ogles  wrote, “Meanwhile, Christians have seen every trace of their religion erased from American education.” And Republican Congressman John Rose, who is running for the Republican nomination to be governor, said “Political correctness has overtaken common sense.” He noted that the school district merely referred to the Christian holy day of Good Friday as “Spring Holiday” on its official calendar. Christian talk show host Todd Starnes asked, “I wonder if Overton High School celebrates the Jewish and Christian faiths with as much gusto as they do the Muslim faith? Do they erect a Nativity in the cafeteria during the 12 days of Christmas? Is there a banner proclaiming that Jesus is the reason for the season? I reached out to the school to find out if classrooms and hallways are decorated to celebrate the Christian holidays, but so far, there's been no response.” Starnes concluded, “And what's especially peculiar is the silence from atheist groups like the Freedom From Religion Foundation and anti-Christian hate groups like the ACLU and Americans United For the Separation of Church and State. That crowd gets triggered by teachers handing out candy canes. But there's not been a word of condemnation about a public school being turned into a taxpayer-funded mosque.” In Exodus 20:3, God commanded, “You shall have no other gods before Me.” Send a polite, 2-sentence letter of objection to Principal Kelby Garner, Overton High School, 4820 Franklin Pike, Nashville, TN 37220. Send us Fan MailGUEST: VIRGIL WALKER, Teaching Pastor, Redeemer Bible Church (Gilbert, AZ) Kings, rulers, emperors, prime ministers, and presidents always surrounded themselves with advisors so they can hear what they consider to be the most informed perspectives of domestic and foreign policy. In our day, this would be the president's cabinet with the heads of the various government agencies. Most rulers throughout history have also surrounded themselves with spiritual or religious advisors in the hope that they will receive wisdom from those closest to God, or in idolatrous nations, from those who worship false gods. The Egyptian Pharaoh had his wise men, sorcerers, and magicians who provided counsel and performed their “secret arts.” The kings of Judah and Israel were always surrounded by prophets and priests in order to know God's will. And that's the critical point—knowing God's will only comes from those who genuinely know God. Just like the broad way that leads to the destruction and the narrow way that leads to eternal life, most who spiritually advise rulers will be like the false prophets of Ahab telling the king what he wants to hear while few will be brave enough to speak the true Word of God.Enter the modern day and President Trump's White House Faith Office, an advisory board of religious leaders selected by the president led by the well-known charismatic pastor and televangelist Paula White-Cain. White-Cain teaches the health, wealth, and prosperity false gospel and it influences how she leads the Faith Office. There are other more sound Christian pastors and leaders like Robert Jeffress, pastor of First Baptist Church in Dallas, and Franklin Graham, evangelist and head of Samaritan's Purse. These men are in a testing position—how to be faithful when there is compromise all around?Virgil Walker, pastor, author, writer, and podcast host, will join us this weekend to help us think through the spiritual influences on President Trump. Because how the President sees himself and how he makes decisions will be in part, perhaps in large part, influenced by who those have his ear.-----------------------------PROGRAM NOTES:Just Thinking podcastSubstack page

Rwanda – It was the centerpiece of a lot of news attention back in 1994. Bloody civil war; tens of thousands of Rwandans were slaughtered there. There were nightly images of emaciated refugees, dying of disease, dying of starvation. And children; oh, you just couldn't forget the children. Many of those kids had lost everything in the carnage. Billy Graham's son, Franklin Graham, took a medical team to try to help there, and I heard him tell about one little girl he said he could never forget, and I don't think I will. He was in this rebel camp and he was walking by an army truck. He noticed this one little girl sitting in the back of it and she was just rocking back and forth, and she was singing something very softly but in a language Franklin couldn't understand. There was a soldier standing by there paying no attention to the girl, and Franklin said, “What happened to this little girl?” And he said, “Oh, the same as all the others. She's got nobody left.” Franklin said, “Well, would you do me one more favor? Would you tell me what she's singing?” The soldier seemed a little annoyed, but he listened for a minute and he said, “Yeah, it's…” Then he went on to translate it. When he translated the song, it was clear that this little Rwandan orphan hadn't lost everything. I'm Ron Hutchcraft and I want to have A WORD WITH YOU today about “Unloseable.” The soldier, after hearing this song sung by that little Rwandan orphan girl said, “Yeah, it's something about Jesus loving her.” Franklin said, “Is it Jesus Loves Me, this I know. For the Bible tells me so?” “Yeah, yeah, that's it.” With her world torn apart, with every human who loved her gone, this precious little victim had one unloseable relationship. Do you? They couldn't take Jesus away from her. Our word for today from the Word of God - Romans chapter 8. It begins by talking about the worst things that could happen to you in your life, and in verse 37 it says, “We are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor demons, nothing in the present or the future, nor any powers, neither height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” A love you can never lose; a love that will never lose you. Jesus is the unloseable person we've looked for all our lives. Actually we're built to belong to our Creator. If it weren't for Jesus, we would never have the possibility of that heart-satisfying relationship because of the gap between God and us. It's called sin. That's basically the self-rule of our lives. It could be summed up in those words “I did it my way.” So the God that we're built by and for is out of our reach until that sin bill is paid. Talk about love! God's only Son came to remove the only thing that could keep us from His love - the death penalty for our sin. From the moment you say, “Jesus, I'm putting my total trust in you and what you did on the cross for me” you belong to God. You always will. Nothing in heaven, nothing in hell, nothing on earth can end that relationship. God has guaranteed it. Quite some time ago, my wife and I spent a week at a little house at the Jersey shore; it was like a mini-honeymoon. And two weeks later she came down with a life-threatening case of hepatitis. I'll never forget the night when she almost died. I realized that this one person who would never choose to leave me might not have any choice about it that night. I'm so grateful God spared her. But that night I realized that the closest thing I have on earth to an unloseable person is loseable. But you know what? Since that day, came the day that I did lose her. But I was still able to sing “Jesus loves me, this I know.” I hope you can too. You probably never thought you'd learn anything from a little Rwandan orphan girl, but she was hanging on to Jesus with all her heart. Maybe it's time for you to do that. I'd love to help you know how. Join me at our website AnewStory.com. Isn't it time you grabbed Jesus' hand? Because that's the only hand that won't ever let you go.

Allie unpacks how the White House Easter Prayer Lunch turned into a major controversy after Paula White-Cain, President Trump's faith adviser, drew direct parallels between Trump's life and the suffering, betrayal, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Franklin Graham also compared Trump to the biblical Queen Esther, sparking sharp criticism from Tucker Carlson. In this episode, we break down Paula White's history of prosperity gospel teachings, questionable doctrines, and why many see her comments as blasphemous, while also addressing the Esther debate and correcting the record on the biblical story. We also examine President Trump's fiery Easter Truth Social post threatening Iran over the Strait of Hormuz prior to the ceasefire; Tucker Carlson's strong reaction defending Islam; and why mocking false gods and oppressive ideologies has deep biblical and historical precedent. What does it actually mean to be saved, and is the popular version of the gospel missing the point? Today we dive into a fascinating letter from Franklin Graham to Donald Trump to dissect how we understand salvation, the heart, and the kingdom of God. This episode explores why a private, internal-only faith might fall short of the radical, embodied life Jesus actually called us to live.In this episode, we deconstruct the traditional heaven-bound narrative and look at the biblical definitions of words like belief and heart. Mike and Tim discuss how faith is less about an intellectual multiple-choice test and more about our executive will and daily allegiances. We also share a powerful poem by Wendell Berry that invites us to practice resurrection in a world obsessed with profit and power. As we continue our series on the Lord's Prayer, we tackle the deep paradoxes of the kingdom. Is the kingdom of God growing like a mustard seed, or is it a secret waiting to burst forth? We look at how to recognize the signs of God's presence without trying to force or predict His timing. Finally, we contrast different views of human history to see why the way of Jesus offers a uniquely hopeful future for our world.Chapters0:00 Intro and April Fools3:15 Tim's Birthday and Aching Legs5:30 A Tale of Two Christianities8:45 Franklin Graham's Letter to Trump12:15 Deconstructing the Heaven Bound Gospel16:30 What Does it Mean to Believe20:00 The Biblical Meaning of the Heart24:15 Why the Voxology Approach Takes Time28:30 Manifesto of the Mad Farmer33:00 Practicing Resurrection in Daily Life37:45 The Paradox of a Discernible Kingdom42:00 Signs of the End vs AD 7046:30 The Kingdom as a Hidden Seed51:00 Three Views of Human History54:15 Building for the Kingdom and OutroAs always, we encourage and would love discussion as we pursue. In this episode, Allie tackles the growing push for a child-free lifestyle, from "The View's" Sunny Hostin calling it "reckless" to have more kids in Trump's America to Whitney Cummings and viral TikTok women celebrating quiet houses, travel, and refusing to be "grannies." We contrast this with God's design for family and legacy.Allie also breaks down Pope Leo XIV's Palm Sunday message claiming God "does not listen to the prayers of those who wage war," examining the biblical view of justice, self-defense, and just war through stories of Gideon, Joshua, and Jesus as conquering King. Plus, concerns over the Vatican's interfaith moves and Muslim prayer room.We cover the ongoing persecution of Christians in Nigeria on Palm Sunday, Franklin Graham's gospel-centered letter to President Trump, Jaden Ivey taking a bold stand against the NBA's Pride Month celebration — and getting waived for it — and the Supreme Court striking down Colorado's "conversion therapy" ban. Finally, why are Democrats eyeing a straight, white, Christian male candidate for 2028?
