After a difficult childhood, Rose ached to learn how to parent in a way that comes from the heart and honors children as separate individuals with their own thoughts, feelings, and opinions. She knew what kind of a mom she wanted to be but after her sweet babies arrived she realized she did not have the tools and needed them desperately. Rose will forever be grateful for the day she stumbled upon Language of Listening®, a parenting model that allowed her to become the mom she always wanted to be AND also allowed her to reparent herself! Now, as an Authorized Language of Listening® coach she works with moms teaching them the model. That work includes getting them to a place where they have the tools to hold boundaries with ease AND to decode the messages of the overwhelming emotions of motherhood so they can get their deepest needs met.Work with Rose: https://www.afteraces.com/love-the-way-you-parentJoin Rose's Free Facebook Group for Moms: https://www.facebook.com/groups/lovethewayyouparent/Read the book by the founder of Language of Listening® called SAY WHAT YOU SEE® online for free: https://www.languageoflistening.com/resources/read-swys-book/To contact The Front Seat Podcast click on the link tree below!https://linktr.ee/frontseatpodcast

With the start of 2020 upon us, we know that everyone is focused on resolutions and goals. Whether that be getting in the gym, improving financially or career aspirations, many people just want to get better. The sentiment rings truer now than ever that not having a plan is planning to fail. We believe there is no greater plan than starting with God and asking Him for vision. Let’s do that together as we explore what God wants us to see starting 2020!

Episode #90: Tracy Cutchlow says that you can pretty easily guess whether the child is looking for a connection, that sense of belonging or relationship, or an experience with how their bodies work, how the world works, or the need for power to have some control over their own lives. Cutchlow uses a coaching framework "Language of Listening" where the first step is to “Say What You See”. Acknowledging what the child is feeling, saying, doing, thinking to hope you and them cope with intense feelings. For example, maybe the child is screaming because you just told them that it was time to go. Acknowledging their feelings before taking action is critical to helping them manage disappointment and surprise.
