In “I Got the Power,” Pastor Chad Veach concludes the freedom series by teaching that believers cannot live free through their own strength—they need the power of the Holy Spirit. Freedom is received, learned, and fought for, but the ability to stay free comes from God. Drawing from Acts 1, Pastor Chad explains that Jesus told His disciples not to begin their mission until they had received the Holy Spirit's power. The Holy Spirit is not an optional part of following Jesus; He is essential for overcoming the addictions, unforgiveness, lust, greed, comparison, and other chains that try to pull us back into bondage. Pastor Chad describes this relationship in two ways: “The Holy Spirit is in me for me” and “The Holy Spirit is on me for others.” Within us, the Holy Spirit teaches, guides, comforts, convicts, strengthens, transforms, and continually points us toward Jesus. Upon us, He gives spiritual gifts that enable us to serve and strengthen others. As Pastor Chad puts it, “The Holy Spirit is in me to form Jesus in me. He is on me so that Jesus flows from me.” Ultimately, freedom isn't meant to end with us. God sets us free for worship, relationship, and mission. The Holy Spirit empowers believers to take the freedom they've received into their everyday lives, allowing God to use ordinary conversations, relationships, workplaces, and unexpected encounters to reach others. The challenge is to surrender control and say, “Here I am, your servant. Use me as you see fit.” When we depend on the Holy Spirit, we don't simply experience freedom ourselves—we become people God can use to help others find freedom too.
In this Anniversary Sunday message, Pastor Chad Veach celebrates 11 years of Zoe Church while challenging believers to fight for the freedom Jesus has given them. Freedom is first received, then learned, but it must also be fought for. Drawing from Galatians 5:1, Pastor Chad declares, “I'm standing because I'm staying.” Following Jesus requires a determination not to return to old thinking, relationships, habits, jealousy, greed, or anything else that once held us in bondage. Staying free means standing firm in Christ, surrounding ourselves with community, and keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus instead of becoming distracted by what is happening in other people's lives. Pastor Chad also teaches that fighting for freedom means knowing when to stand and when to run. Using Peter walking on water and Joseph fleeing Potiphar's wife, he shows that there are moments when believers must intentionally run from environments, relationships, temptations, and compromises that could destroy their destiny. Freedom is too valuable to play around with the things that once kept us bound. As Pastor Chad puts it, “You can have my jacket, but you can't jack my calling.” Ultimately, freedom isn't meant to be used selfishly. God sets us free so that we can serve others and become planted in community. Reflecting on Zoe Church's 11-year journey, Pastor Chad emphasizes that the church was built through people who decided, “It's not about what we can get anymore, it's about what we can give.” The call is to stand in freedom, serve the house of God, stay connected to people, and use the story of what God has done in our lives to help others find freedom too.

In part two of the “Rent Free” series, Pastor Chad Veach preaches a message titled “No Turning Back,” challenging believers to stop romanticizing the very things God delivered them from. Using the Israelites in Numbers 11, he shows how they were physically free from Egypt but still craved their old life. Pastor Chad explains that freedom is received, freedom is learned, and freedom is fought for—and learning to live free means refusing to linger in old relationships, habits, mindsets, lusts, and patterns. “God can get you out of Egypt, but it take a long time to get Egypt out of you.” Drawing from Lot's wife, Paul's instruction to flee youthful lusts, and his own experiences, Pastor Chad urges the church to “don't look back and don't stir up.” Instead of constantly revisiting the past, believers are called to throw off their old life and embrace the new life Jesus has given them. He challenges listeners to examine what needs to be removed during 21 days of prayer and fasting—old attitudes, thinking patterns, speech, relationships, and anything else pulling them away from God. As he puts it, “Don't tolerate where you're going. Celebrate where you're going.” Ultimately, Pastor Chad calls believers to “feed your future.” Rather than sowing back into the life God rescued us from, we should invest in where God is taking us: “Sow where you wanna go.” Staying free isn't accomplished through human effort alone, but by continually being filled with the Holy Spirit. The same God who delivered you is faithful to sustain you and complete the work He started. Your past may explain where you've been, but it doesn't determine where you're going—there's no turning back.

In this message, Pastor Chad Veach launches the series “Better and Brighter,” teaching from Matthew 5 that followers of Jesus are called to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. Christians aren't meant to live for themselves, but to live on mission — helping people who are far from God encounter His love and grace. Pastor Chad emphasizes that the heart of the gospel is rescue. God didn't send Jesus to condemn the world but to save it. Through stories like the lost sheep and the lost coin, he reminds us that being lost does not remove someone's value — it only changes their location. God relentlessly pursues people who are far from Him because they still belong to Him. The message challenges believers to stop living small, self-centered lives and instead join God's rescue mission. Ordinary people carry an extraordinary message — the gospel of Jesus. When Christians live boldly and share their faith, they become the salt and light that can make their cities, communities, and workplaces better and brighter.

In this powerful message titled This Is My Vow, Pastor Chad Veach reminds us that marriage is not sustained by feelings — it is sustained by covenant. Rooted in Genesis 2, he teaches that marriage was God's idea from the beginning, designed to flourish when built on His foundation. Love is not accidental, and strong relationships don't happen by chance. They are built through intentional decisions, daily commitment, and keeping God at the center. Pastor Chad challenges couples to reject comparison, forgive quickly, and choose gratitude over criticism. Feelings will fluctuate, but faithfulness is a choice. When God is at the center — like a cord of three strands — storms may come, but they won't destroy what is grounded in Him. This message is a call to stop drifting, stop blaming, and renew your vow — not just on your wedding day, but every single day.
In this message Pastor Chad Veach kicks off a brand-new series titled “Looking for Love in All the Wrong Places,” teaching from 1 John 4:19 “We love because He first loved us.” Before we can love well, date well, or build a great marriage, we must first learn how to receive the love of God. In this powerful and practical sermon, Pastor Chad explains the difference between living water love and broken cistern love, showing how so many of us chase attention, affection, and cheap substitutes that leave us dry and empty. From the woman at the well to King Saul forcing outcomes, this message challenges us to stop trading real love for cheap likes, stop forcing what should be faith, and start trusting God's direction over our own desires. When you receive the Father's love first, everything changes your relationships, your standards, and your future. If you've ever felt empty, overlooked, impatient, or tempted to settle, this word is for you. At Zoe, our mission is simple: People Saved, Disciples Made, Leaders Raised, and The Church Released. Through every service, we seek to share the love and hope of Jesus, impact lives, and see transformation in communities in Los Angeles and around the world. Through the story of Lazarus, we see how Jesus brings not only resurrection power but also compassionate presence. Before He raised Lazarus, Jesus wept. He showed us that His presence is everything even before the miracle. Pastor Chad challenges us to stop living numb and start leaning into healing. Whether you're walking through grief, loss, or uncertainty, this message reminds you: Jesus shows up first with presence, then with power. Don't pursue results pursue relationship. And when Jesus is in the room, everything gets better. At Zoe, our mission is simple: People Saved, Disciples Made, Leaders Raised, and The Church Released. This sermon unpacks how Jesus was rejected by His own people, by crowds, by religious leaders, and even by those closest to Him. But even through every rejection, Jesus remained faithful to His mission—and invites us to live the same way: deliberately, faithfully, and fearlessly. In this message Pastor Chad Veach brings an incredible word titled "Humble Beginnings", sharing how the Savior of the world arrived in obscurity—wrapped in cloth, laid in a manger, with no room in the inn. Through Luke 2 and other scriptures, Pastor Chad reminds us that God doesn't need something big to do something great. If God can show up in a manger, He can show up in your marriage, your city, your family, and your season. This sermon will build your faith to stop overlooking what seems small and start believing that your current place is the big time. It's not about how you started—it's about how you finish. And when you make room for Jesus, He doesn't just save your life—He leads it. At Zoe, our mission is simple: People Saved, Disciples Made, Leaders Raised, and The Church Released.
