Welcome to The Witching Hour Podcast has had the honor of being allowed to be the first to review Scott B. Hansen's latest release DEVOUR!!!! Be sure to watch the full review, because this is one Halloween seasoned movie you aren't going to want to miss! The folks that brought you BAD CANDY, Digital Thunder Dome have put together a true masterpiece that you will not soon forget!
What an amazing way to end the season! Alexandra is such a cool person! We spoke about her character “Marie' and how she is a crossover from the “Bad Candy” Universe and both movies happen to be Halloween themed which makes everything perfect. Essentially, Marie is a part of a vampire heavy metal band battling a warlock that is hellbent on world domination/destruction, I guess. That's what I am gathering from the trailer anyway – I could be 100% incorrect with that theory and being mislead by the Scott Hansen's ideas. She is also in the process of writing her own movie which is called “A Deadly Path” and it's a post-apocalyptic movie and I am already intrigued by the concept. For some reason, I have been watching a lot of post-apocalyptic movies lately, especially post-apocalyptic zombie movies. Crank up the volume, raise your horns in the air, and check out the movie when it's released in October this year.
Celebrating Women in Horror, Part 3.Movie Synopsis: A struggling all female metal bandcalled "The Virginia Bitches" have a taste for blood and while on tour their van breaks down in the middle of nowhere. Seeking help they come across a town full of cannibals led by an infamous Warlock.I had the pleasure and honor to speak to Chelsea about her role in what looks like to be an epic movie with vampires, witches, warlocks, werewolves, and cannibals (oh my!). This movie is the true definition of death metal, and I cannot wait to see it in the theater when it's released. With the conceptof everything supernatural mixed into this movie, it looks like it's going to be incredible. The movie currently has an Indiegogo Funding Page with some amazing perks!https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/devour--4#/

We are extra back this week! And this episode is the actual movie watch along to Bad Candy with myself, The FLOP and Mike Schilling. Bad Candy was a 2020 film released in 2021 staring Derek Russo, Zach Galligan, J. Gaven Wilde, and Corey Taylor. Written by Desiree Connell, Scott B. Hansen, Thacker Hoffman and directed by Thacker and Desiree. And while it channels the format of great spooky movies like Trick 'r Treat, it falls far short of it's goodness. We're not saying its a bad movie, we are just saying that if you feel like plopping down the couple of dollars to rent or buy it... we suggest playing this episode as the commentary track. Regardless, happy Halloween and enjoy the scares... cheers! Jeremy B.

This week we are talking all about bad choices. First up, we interview Scott B. Hansen about his film The Possession Experiment, in which a college student invites a demonic possession into his body for a school project. Bad idea. Then, a young woman decides to join a mysterious billionaire's private game in Rich the Monster Movie Kid's review of Would You Rather? Bad idea. Finally, two old friends reconnect and go to another weird rich guy's house and perform crazy antics for desperately needed cash in Desmond and Darryll's review of Cheap Thrills. Probably a bad idea. But a good idea is music: "Open Your Eyes" by Maylene and the Sons of Disaster, "All Rise" by Wovenwar, "Sell Your Soul" by Hollywood Undead, "Bloodstains" by Agent Orange, and "Betty Ford for Christmas" by Leif Garrett & The Crush Ups.
