Today Elaine and Louise chat with the brilliant playwright Sara Shaarawi. They chat Sara's new play Sister Radio which is touring Scotland right now and is a co-production between Stellar Quines and Pitlochry Theatre . The play is about Sisters Fatemeh and Shirin have been living together, in the same flat in Edinburgh, for 43 years. In this flat they cook, read their coffee grains, listen to the radio, and try to remember their childhoods in Tehran but they no longer talk to one another. When a global pandemic hits and the sisters are locked in their flat, they are forced to reckon with their memories of a betrayal that changed the course of their relationship. The trio also discuss the lack of visible and vocal support from the theatrical community regarding the events in Iran We as Persistent and Nast know we need to do more and wish to make a call out to our theatres in Scotland to discuss what we can do to help. Sisters, the battle is raging tighten your belt. Stand in confidence.
The enemy wants to become the ruler of your life, find out how.
Do you know the difference between the convicting voice of God or the condemning voice of the accuser?
Are you aware when the enemy is around or do you even realize that he is stalking you? Listen up and learn the predatory behavior of the enemy that wants to take you down.
If you haven't been that friend then become that friend.
When deliverance doesn't feel or taste as good as you thought it would. Stay at the table, keep your eyes on the Master, embrace, and don't complain.
Do you ever feel stuck, ready to give up, and just want to leave it all behind and sit at the feet of Jesus?

Full text of the announcement below. If you want to stay in touch with the Network and Athena between now and April 7th, please check out the various methods below. Discord is the most frequently used, but all will be checked and reviewed constantly (because Athena is a bit of a notification addict, if we’re being honest).Discord (https://discord.gg/ZMhJmgn)Twitter (https://twitter.com/storythusfar or our handle @StoryThusFar)Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/storythusfar/)Email (staff@storythusfar.com)Announcement Text:Erin’s HalfHello everyone. This is Erin here.I know we said we would be planning to release a new season of Trans Sister Radio today. But the truth is my mental health has been in a seriously bad decline these past few weeks. Honestly, it has been one of the worst I have had in years. I’m really struggling with a lot personally, and it is already affecting the recording schedule, as you probably have noticed with Still Inspired By.I am feeling severely overwhelmed by a lot of things and I’m not in a very great place mentally. It is because of these issues that I am afraid I am taking a back from my content creation. Please, make no mistake; being able to provide some answers to some of the questions Athena, myself, and others have had on the same journey has been an experience I wouldn’t trade for the world. But right now, I have a lot of things I need to audit in my own life and I need some time away to properly assess them. You may or may not see me in the various groups we have like the twitter, the discord, or the subreddit.I truly apologize for this. This is not in any way something that is easy for me to type up and Athena can vouch for the amount of tears shed over it all.I hope you all have a wonderful night. I hope you all find the strength to deal with your own struggles. And I hope you all will share the love you have with those in your life that need it in any way that you can.Thank you all from the bottom of my heart,Erin VictoriaAthena’s HalfHi all, Athena here.I want to add to what Erin said above and give you all some clarity on what this means for the network, our shows, and my personal content creation.Obviously, with the only two shows our network produces being joint shows between Erin and I, this means we won’t be producing any new shows for a while. We’re not saying that Trans Sister Radio and Still Inspired By are permanently canceled (nor do I hope we will have to say that), but we are saying that they’re delayed. We’re going to go on a hiatus for about six weeks while Erin takes a break and I think about my own personal plans. This means you can look for an announcement from us on April 7th with more details on what the future of the network and our shows holds.Additionally, I’m going to be doing some thinking about new shows or ways to continue the existing shows if Erin does decide that she needs to permanently step away from the network after the hiatus. If you have thoughts, ideas, or anything else, I’d love to hear them, so please continue reaching out to me via the network information I’ll have in the show notes below.I’d also like to say that our Discord server is going to remain open, as the community we’ve built there is truly something wonderful. If you want to stay in touch with me and the community, please consider visiting it. I’ll have links to that as well in the show notes.Above all, I want to make it clear. This is not the end of our story. Erin and I have had many fun times on this network and we’re both proud of the shows we’ve gotten to make for you. As Erin said, this is not an easy decision, and it’s one I’ve watched her struggle with over the last few months. As painful as it is, this is the right choice for her, for us, and for the network. I hope you all can understand that, and I hope you’ll be here in April when whatever happens, happens.Like I said earlier, the network and our shows will go on. I want to continue bringing you podcasts, and I hope that involves Erin as well, but it’s also okay if it doesn’t.Thank you all for listening for the nearly two years of this network’s existence. I can’t wait to bring you many more years of shows. Thanks for listening.
