Since Jesus was fully human, that means he needed to learn just like we do. But how could he learn what he needed to know in order to become God's Messiah and the Saviour of the world? The answer isn't controversial, but it may surprise you. Join Scott and Shawn as they discover Jesus' foundation for thinking and why it affects how Christians should think about everything.

When Jesus multiplied the fish and loaves, he did more than just provide a meal for a crowd. He was teaching his disciples how he thinks. He taught them how he confronts problems of lack or provision in his kingdom. Wade extends the invitation to let Jesus teach you how to think about problems of need or lack in your own life and in the lives of those around you.
1 Peter 4:1-6 English Standard Version Stewards of God's Grace 4 Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh,[a] arm yourselves with the same way of thinking, for whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, 2 so as to live for the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for human passions but for the will of God. 3 For the time that is past suffices for doing what the Gentiles want to do, living in sensuality, passions, drunkenness, orgies, drinking parties, and lawless idolatry. 4 With respect to this they are surprised when you do not join them in the same flood of debauchery, and they malign you; 5 but they will give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. 6 For this is why the gospel was preached even to those who are dead, that though judged in the flesh the way people are, they might live in the spirit the way God does. Footnotes 1 Peter 4:1 Some manuscripts add for us; some for you
Be blessed by this messaage.
No one can escape the reality of pain and suffering, but, as Christians, Jesus actually promised we'd suffer (John 16:33) and face persecutions for his sake (Mark 10:30). Whether it's experiencing pain because of the brokenness of sin upon the world or hardships due to our loyalty to Jesus, we will all face suffering in this world to one degree or another. So, how do we ensure our faith endures through them?In this episode, Scott and Shawn tackle this difficult subject of pain and suffering, but from the standpoint of Jesus' own experience. Specifically, they probe the Scriptures to see what guided Jesus' own mind as he journeyed through suffering. What they discover is both inspiring and hopeful.⭐ Get access to “So Much More Than Sex” — a video-based Bible Study Series for young adults that is focused on rediscovering God's eternal purpose for human sexuality.Support the show

"The Risks and The Rewards of Pioneering": The costs and sacrifices of mission are real and high – yet the rewards both in this life and in the next are rich and considerable. The theme of our 2022 conference faces the highs and lows of church planting head on – be prepared to be challenged and inspired by teaching from Vlada Stojanovic, David Devenish, Dave Holden, Wouter Vertegaal and a host of seminar speakers.
The Bible tells us we can have the mind of Christ. In fact, the mind of Christ has already been revealed; it's just a matter of accepting the revelation. In the original language, the mind of Christ implies that we can know the reasoning behind why Jesus did what He did and why He did it the way He did. When we share in the mind of Christ, it is like sitting with Him in an intimate conversation, where He reveals His most intimate secrets. Join me this week in CyberChurch for the first message in this new series, “The Mind of Christ: The World Through the Eyes of God.”

great podcast episode about how to live like Jesus!
Being a Christian isn't a matter of thinking vs. not-thinking. It's a matter of where our thinking starts from.Ultimately there are only two places where thinking can start: Either believing truth begins with God, or truth begins with us.Either God's truth is true, or mine is. These are our only two options.Learning to think like Jesus, then, begins with trusting that God is the starting point for all true knowledge. This is why Solomon in his wisdom declared: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge” (Proverbs 1:7).It's a risky thing, but if you want your life to be transformed, then you must be willing to surrender your mind to the rock solid foundation of God's true word. For related resources, visit https://preparedtoanswer.org/topics/faith-and-reason/start-thinking-like-jesus-today/Support the show (https://preparedtoanswer.org/donate/)
Christians who love Jesus desire to live like him. But so often the sin that remains in us causes us to fail and fall short. Does this mean living like Jesus is an impossible goal?Since sin entered the world through the embrace of a lie (Romans 1:25), victory over sin comes as the Holy Spirit re-shapes our minds according to God's truth revealed in Jesus. In this episode, Scott discusses the real experience of spiritual transformation and renewal that comes when we allow God to re-train our minds. For related resources, visit preparedtoanswer.org/topics/faith-and-reason/how-do-i-start-thinking-like-jesusSupport the show (https://preparedtoanswer.org/donate/)

Saints, there is power in your voice (words). In other words your mountain knows your voice. What does that mean? It means your mouth is one of your most powerful resources, and your tongue is your answer. God created with His Words and so can you. And whether or not you are aware of it, you are creating your future everyday by the words coming out of your mouth. In this series, “Prepare to Stand Your Ground” you will learn how to win more of your battles.
