In the conclusion of Hebrews, this letter to the believers includes warnings and encouragement. The writer is very intentional about reminding us that no matter what we face, Jesus is the same and God is faithful. We learn that Christ makes us complete, working in us so that all we do is well-pleasing to Him.
1 Corinthians 15:35-58 we study the importance of living with an eternal perspective and being prepared for the rapture of the church. We learn about the glorified body that we will receive after death. We are also encouraged to know and fulfill our purpose in life, knowing that our service for the Lord is not in vain.
The second half of Hebrews 12 starts out by encouraging us to live peaceable, holy lives. It will also challenge us to view our times of “shaking” as a necessary step of becoming righteous. We'll also see some great reminders of how the NT way of meeting with God is far superior to the previous OT ways.
1 Corinthian 15:1-34 emphasizes the foundational importance of the Gospel, urging believers to build their lives on the truth of Jesus' death and resurrection. God's grace with our salvation inspires our dedication and service to Christ. The resurrection of Christ also gives us hope beyond the grave and helps us not fear death.

As we pick up in Hebrews11: 17-40 we continue to see how some amazing men and woman went through a life of test and trials so that they could leave for us great examples and encouragement of how we need to live a life of unshakable faith. We will be encouraged to stand on our faith instead of the things of the world.
In 1 Corinthians 14:1-25, the scriptures emphasize the importance of using spiritual gifts like tongues and prophecy with love and for the edification of the church. This message highlights the need for these gifts to glorify God and build up the church, while being mindful of how they are perceived by both believers and non-believers, ensuring that they demonstrate God's presence among us.
The beginning of Hebrews Chapter 11 describes faith as having confidence in the credibility of God. We learn that faith makes things we hope for as real as if we already had them. Verses 2-16 begin with what's known as the "Hall of Faith", as the writer reminds us about the stories of 5 Old Testament saints, (Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham and Sarah) who pleased God with their faith.

The second half of Chapter 10 encourages us be confident in God's forgiveness. It challenges us to always draw near to God with a sincere heart, and warns us not to fall away and forsake God. It ends by encouraging us to persevere in our trials, because those who remain faithful will be saved!
Paul lists many of the spiritual gifts in 1 Corinthians 12. We'll examine them one by one, and we'll spend additional time discussing their proper use. Chapter 12 also reminds us that our spiritual gifts are equally important, without a hierarchy. Paul will use the human body as an illustration, reminding us that every part is necessary and vital for the body (the church) to function properly.

The first part of this teaching offers encouragement and challenges to fathers on this Father's Day weekend. The second part explores 1 Corinthians 10:14-33, where we learn that intimacy with both God and the world is incompatible, as the Apostle Paul urges us to glorify God by considering others in our use of freedoms and avoiding participation in demonic activities.

The end of Chapter 7 and the 1st half of Chapter 8 reminds us that Jesus is far superior to all of Israel's previous high priests. The 2nd half of Chapter 8 continues that mindset by explaining how much better the new covenant is than the old one.
When we put the Gospel above our personal rights and preferences, our lives become a clear path for Christ's message to reach others, transforming not only us but everyone we influence.
We learn in Hebrews Chapter 7 about the weakness of the Levitical priesthood and how a new High Priest was established in the order of Melchizedek. Through the line of Judah, Jesus became the better covenant according to the power of endless life. His priesthood is unchanging and forever.
In 1 Corinthians 8, we learn how we can make decisions in the “gray areas” of life. Specifically, how to live out our faith in situations not explicitly covered by scripture. We will see the importance of prioritizing love over knowledge and exercising our personal freedoms to build others up instead of causing them to stumble.
The second half of Hebrews 5 challenges us to move past infancy and continue our spiritual growth. In Hebrews 6 we'll study strong warnings that describe what happens to people who abandon their faith and reject God.
This weekend we will see that Paul highlights the importance of serving the Lord without distraction, whether married or single, and encourages believers to live in a way that honors God in their current situation. Our study will show the value of devotion to God and the freedom to serve Him wholeheartedly in every season of life.

Joshua 23 outlines the first of two farewell addresses from Joshua before his death. He first looks back to remind the leaders of Israel of God's great faithfulness over multiple generations. Then he looks forward with a warning about the dangers of departing from God. Joshua exhorted them to continue building from the foundational truth to love the Lord above and before anything else.
