Creighton discussed how her early involvement in the youth wing of the European People’s Party (“EPP”) helped her later win her election as Vice President of EPP, the largest political party at the EU level. Creighton spoke of being expelled from her party, Fine Gael, due to her anti-abortion stance and decision to vote against her own party on legislation providing limited abortion services in Ireland. Creighton went on to establish her own political party, Renua, before ultimately setting up her own public affairs firm, Vulcan Consulting, which advises Irish and international companies.
