Hectic. For many, this five letter word perfectly describes their life. And because hectic defines their daily living, inevitably they find all areas of their life, relationships, work, marriage, family weakening, as well as their own spiritual and emotional health. And what each of us needs to understand is this; Everyone of us is influential. Every person, no matter their position in life, from the high and mighty to the most humble among us set an example for those know. It could come by way of word or deed or simply in how we live our lives before the eyes of others, but an example, be it negative or positive is seen and can influence. And when life is overloaded, when life is spell, TOO BUSY, then that is what we are teaching, exampling. And ultimately, the lesson from the hectic life becomes, life's priorities can be shaved, can be compromised. Oh, one can say, the time is simply not there to give to that which is truly important, that the lack of time robs us of the seriousness and effort we know is required and needed., this includes first and foremost our relationship and walk with Christ. So in the end, we can lay blame on the hectic pace of modern life for the how things are not as they should be, or we can seek change. And in this sermon taken from passages within John 21, 1 Peter 5 & Matthew 11, Pastor Tim Bresnahan examines the hectic life through Christ and the Apostles and offers answers to it's struggles and to what ultimately can or will be lost, or even abandoned if the hectic person continues to run in life's exhaustive manner and direction.

When we experience God’s grace we quit striving to keep the law and start walking with Jesus instead trusting in His perfect righteousness to gain our access to God and heaven.

Katie Burnett is a U.S. Team member and currently holds the U.S. 50k Race Walk Record. After graduating high school in Arizona, she went from the race walk being “just another event” to her sport of choice. Katie got her start race walking the summer after 7th grade when she joined a club track team. Early success in the event convinced her to stick with it while pursuing other sports and events until she went to college to throw NCAA Division I javelin. Deciding that the school wasn’t a good fit, she transferred to William Penn University in Oskaloosa, Iowa. WPU is in the NAIA, which offers the race walk as a track and field event, so she returned to race walking. This change set her on the path that led to 6 NAIA All-American honors in the walk and 1 in the javelin. After college she continued to compete, moving up from the 3k and 5k at the college level to the 20k. Awww, yeah - here comes archive show #61, probably my favorite show so far! Yes, Radio Bastet meets Mr. Smooth - and they really hit it off! In case you didn't know, Mr. Smooth is my husband Byron. On The Mr. Smooth Show, he presents the best of the space age bachelor pad music of the 1950's and 60's. There are many points at which exotica and Middle East intersect, and on this joint program he and I explore some of those crossroads. It was a blast to do (unfortunately we lost our final voice-over closing track!), and we plan on doing at least one more show together! In the meantime, raise a glass of your favorite potent potable and shimmy 'round the bachelor pad! 1. FRANK CHACKSFIELD & HIS ORCHESTRA Caravan - 2:40 from the album In The Mystic East, 1957 2. Nehemiah, during difficult times chose to proceed slowly and prayerfully understanding his own limitations and God's power.
Nehemiah, while seizing the opportunity God lay before him, proceeded slowly and prayerfully. We can learn from his example how we are to navigate through times of personal distress.
